    We skate counterclockwise in the USA too, except when we do what we call "Reverse Backwards," where we skate backwards clockwise. I'm coming back from a knee injury, and your tips are very helpful! I've been a skater most of my life.

    Praise the camera man/ woman!
    The editing is on point too.
    Your instruction is excellent, and I'm sure it won't be long before you hit 5k, and 10k subs!

      Oh wow thank you x. I shall pass the compliment on to my husband. He is the man behind the camera and the computer for editing. I get the fun bit of the skating! 😉 🛼

    Yo - that "arms out, turn chin, follow with shoulder" bit totally changed the game. I tried it last night and it was the best attempt to date. I have a long way to go until I'm doing more than just stepping over and actually pushing, but this video gave me hope that I will actually master it!!!!! Thank you for this video!

    😃 I’ve watched many videos from your channels and I have a question about a truck adjustment. I just got my Roll-Line Variant C but I’m not sure how to adjust them. Do I have to adjust only the bottom parts? The ones near the frames are super tight. I can’t even do anything with those. Thank you : )

    • @Skatie
      @Skatie  3 года назад +2

      👋 To adjust the ‘C’ plate it’s super easy as it has the click action. You simply need to turn the lower nut only. Happy rolling 🛼

    Can you explain the purpose of arms out straight? Is it a dance/figure/artistic thing or more about learning? My passion has always been speed skating. I don't think I've ever seen a speed skater with arms out. I've never felt the need. I tend to keep arms in close.

    • @Skatie
      @Skatie  3 года назад +2

      Great question! For learning, arms out is great for balance. I agree, speed skaters keep their arms close or tucked behind, I assume this is for improved aerodynamics for more speed.

    Forward crossover it's not that hard as the backward one for me.. Nice explaining btw
