I can confirm that Phyllis Bide can give a decent second flush, I've had one in a pot for the last three years and it's in flower at the moment with about 35-40 blooms and buds on a 6ft high climber. In previous years I didn't really bother feeding it properly and it only had a very limited second flush, the foliage is much more luxuriant this year too. Really enjoyed all your videos of the Austin roses, especially your showing us how they appear when not in full bloom.
Thanks Paul. I think rose breeders push the envelope of what they mean by 'repeat flowering' when it comes to ramblers. It usually means the odd random flush or single flower sometime late summer or during autumn. The only rambler I've seen to give a second decent flush is Malvern Hills and it's never as good as the main flush. I was really hoping that the spectacular flowers of Phyllis Bide might have been more than a once in a year's wonder. If I ever go back during September I'll make sure to take notes!
You’re not very clear with the names.. your videoing is shocking, make ya feel sick, you spend more time on the leaves than the actual rose, you say this is the one I like and then don’t tell us the name..
Love your enthusiasm, great video too!!! Also love the fluffiness of these bushes!
Thanks.

Thank you for your kind comment Lavender.
Lovely
Thank you for the videos. Can you tell me where the garden is.
Thanks. The gardens are in Albrighton in the West Midlands. Not far from Birmingham.
Great video, very insightful info.. shame about the climber not re-flowering for you.. wonder why it hadn't been deadheaded, resources perhaps?

You definitely need a steadier hand, Sir; the video is unwatchable.
