talking about MIST in the manual. No MIST on the wiper controls, been sitting in my car turning it on and off like a clown for the last half hour. Even the Kia video doesn't tell you this, thanks for helping.
Haha! Me too!!! That's why I started making all of our videos. There are so many cases where I see something and say "I wish they would explain it a little differently" and that's why I make all of our videos.
You prolly dont care but if you are bored like me atm you can watch all of the new movies and series on Instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my brother these days :)
thank you soo much i just got a 2020 Kia Proceed GT with 8k miles on it and one of the whipers isn't cleaning propperly and i wanted to change both but couldn't find out how to raise them bc the hood was getting in the way, thank you again for the video helped alot!
Never knew about the double tap of the start button to turn on, but the car does not actually start correct? Good classes, always learning something new. Wonder why on the telluride they did not tuck the back windshield wiper under like on this vehicle?
Yeah, if you don't press your foot on the brake, one press brings you to the Accessory mode, the second tap brings you to the ON position (but doesn't start the car) I use this function all the time when I film indoors. I think the Telluride doesn't have the wiper there because we've always had it where it is on our SUV's. For 2021 they moved it to the spoiler on the Sorento, and I wonder if every future redesign of our SUV's won't include it there. It doesn't seem to have any downsides if you ask me.
Thanks for these classes. I really liked the one with tilting the mirrors. Could you do one on battery replacement on the key fob? I just received notice on my dash that it’s low. Thanks, Kia Soul, 2019.
The key thing can be a little tricky if you've never done it, but very easy if you know how. If in doubt, stop by your dealer. We do key fob battery replacements at no charge (other then the price of the battery)
Greetings from Vancouver BC. Wish I was in Ontario - would certainly buy from your dealership! Been watching a lot of your videos and I appreciate all the knowledge you provide. I will be picking up a 2022 PHEV Niro. Will this also work on that?
Hi, Thanks for your question. Size may vary depending on the year of your vehicle, Without this information I am unable to answer your question. Also, we don’t receive the XCeed here in Canada, For the most accurate information I’d recommend calling your local dealerships parts department. Hope this helps!
There isn't a screen saver, although you can now change some Apple CarPlay wallpapers, so that may be an option for some variety. As of now, I haven't seen a console for the centre row of the new Sorento.
I have a 2018 Optima SX and I don't have to do that last button press to put it in accessory mode, I can just hold the wiper stalk after turning the car off and they go right up no problem. Maybe that's just an Optima thing?
@@BrantfordKia Yes of course I tried it many times but it does not go to the accessories mode. Maybe there is another way to do it. I cant lift the wiper in this car. Thanks for your reply though
Is it really necessary to double tap? I thought if you just press the button once with your foot off the brake then it is also accessory mode. Am I wrong about this?
You're correct. But in order for the wipers to go into this service mode, the vehicle needs to be turned ON... then OFF... then back to accessory. That's why I went through the sequence that I did in this video.
Followed all the instructions but my cars wipes just operate like normal and won’t stay in the raised position :/ sorento 2022 model. Edit: ok there is an additional part that is missing for 2022 models. TLDR; You need to lift AND HOLD the wiper stalk for 3 seconds in the up position .
Same idea exactly. Turn the car to ON, back to OFF, then back to ACCESSORY and lift the wiper stalk and hold it until the wipers rise. ruclips.net/video/BZSDtZPhBWs/видео.html
I don't have a problem reaching it from the passenger side of the car, but that's a good point. I guess someone shorter than me, or with shorter arms may have to use a step stool beside the car. I hadn't really thought about that.
Why in the world do you have to press the Power button four times before you can do that? On my Audi, I had to press it once before using the thing under the steering wheel.
Great question. Yes, you can put it in accessory mode by just pressing the button once, but you can't get the wipers to activate like shown in this video, unless you first turn it on, then off, then back to accessory.
Wish the previous owner of my Optima knew this... there’s a chunk of paint missing out of the edge of the hood from the wipers being forced up at some point. 🤦🏻♀️
Haha! Awkward way to find that out! I had someone say to me in person, "so THAT'S how the paint got chipped there!" The more subscribers we get, the more I'll be able to help! :)
Not too complictated... even if you do want to train your old dog. :) Turn the car on, turn it off, turn it to accessory, then hold the wiper stalk up.
Kia uses their own electronic systems. I suppose you could lift it, the X Line is a slight lift over the regular units. I'm not sure what kind of aftermarket kits are out there to make things more off-road worthy.
Still isn't going to help with snow and ice! How do you lift them OFF the windshield? That is the question. I have a 2023 Sportage, my 2018 I was able to lift them off of the windshield.
You want to get them lifted before it freezes, or carefully clear the snow and ice with them down. You can lift the wipers from the windshield, even in the lowered position, but you can't lift them up fully.
@@BrantfordKia thank you. The 2018 are not hidden, but it would be nice if they would park in the upright position when I turn the key off. They don't. I have tried different things to get them to park in the up pos. But thanks for your help

Wonder why on the telluride they did not tuck the back windshield wiper under like on this vehicle?
Right, as long as you don't put your foot on the brake the car will not start, just goes to the accessory and then the "on" position.

Thank you for uploading these videos!!!!
At least for the Telluride, you don't need to cycle the power a 2'nd time, just ON & OFF once and lift the stalk.
Does the 2023 Sorento use the J style hook for mounting the wiper blades?
Great video and great training for all👏👌👍🇵🇷
Thanks for watching!
You missed the part about setting on mist and holding it for 2 seconds.
This!
Thanks man! Kia does not give this info easily!!

I believe that the Niro wipers are clear and you can just lift them like you always have on a traditional vehicle.
Please can you tell me what size for driver and passenger wiper blade for a Kia XCeed

Subbed I thought the wipers not coming up meant the car might have been hit in the front 😂😂😂
Thanks! I was afraid it was a manufacturing defect when I couldn't raise the wiper blade of my new Sorento.
Is there a screen saver on the radio? Also do they sell a console for the 2nd roll for a 2021 sorento?
There isn't a screen saver, although you can now change some Apple CarPlay wallpapers, so that may be an option for some variety. As of now, I haven't seen a console for the centre row of the new Sorento.
For everyone that it’s not working for. The trick is to hold the whispers switch up until the blades move

There may be some slight variation. This will work with all of the cars, what your describing may not always work with every car. Thanks for sharing!
I tried it on my 2020 Forte EX but doesnot seem to work. Can you please confirm if it works on this car? Thanks for your video
It will work on any vehicle that you can't lift the wipers because the hood is in the way. Maybe try it again, to see if you can get it to work?
@@BrantfordKia Yes of course I tried it many times but it does not go to the accessories mode. Maybe there is another way to do it. I cant lift the wiper in this car. Thanks for your reply though

I'm referring to pulling them up off of the windshield when it snows
Thank you for this!!!!
Thanks for watching, and also for letting me know that this was helpful!
I have a 2020 forte that uses the key to start, would it be almost the same process to get the wipers up?
Yes. Turn the car on, then off, then to accessory, and lift the wiper stalk and hold it until the wipers come up. Great question.
