Actually the English pronounciation is El-Vay-Tee. The "u" is silent. Eluveitie was an inscription on an antique pottery found at an archeological site in Mantua (northern Italy). Mantua was an Etruskian city and the inscription possibly means, that this pot belonged or was crafted by a Helvetian person, because in Etruskian language "Eluveitie" means something like "The Helvetian". The old Latin name for Switzerland is "Confoederatio Helvetica". The female singers name is Fabienne "Fabi" Erni and she used to sing at private celebrations like birthdays or weddings before she joined Eluveitie in 2016, which is the first band she is a member of. She is really doing a great job with her parts and I love her voice in the accoustic (non-Metal) songs of Eluveitie, like "Lvgvs", "Artio" or "Epona" from the album "The Arcane Dominion II: Pantheon" that are almost completely sung by her in Gaulish. She has her own channel on YT where you can find some of the covers she started doing during Covid lockdown times. I can also recommend the channel of Michalina Malisz, the hurdy gurdy player. She also has done some great covers of songs from other bands on the hurdy gurdy (like Blind Guardian, Nightwish or August burns Red) and has a great "5Riffs" series, where she plays 5 riffs of famous bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Gojira and others on the hurdy gurdy. You definitely should check out and react to "Gwydion", their colab with German Pagan Folk band Faun: ruclips.net/video/8Nlw0oqpO5g/видео.html . The video is way too short in my opinion and only the Metal half of Eluveitie is involved as the Folk part is already covered by Faun. Their second guitarist (Jonas Wolf) is missing and Fabienne Erni(vocals), Matteo Sisti(whistles), Nicole Ansperger(fiddle) and Michalina Malisz(hurdy gurdy) are also not present in this song. But it is a great song even without them (and actually it is mainly a Faun song and Eluveitie is only featured).
