My first Xiaomi phone was redmi note 4 than switched to Nokia and than to iphone 12 unfortunately it was stolen within week so i bought redmi 9 prime and beleive me i was so much amazed with it's finishing, quality, camera quality and miui interface, all things are just mind-blowing and I'm still using it as my secondary phone.
Redmi 9 Prime is a surprisingly good phone!

Yupp MIUI 13 RAM Management is good on Nearly every device over 4GB RAM
MIUI out of the box is very controlled but after 2 to 3 updates the scenario will be different.

After miui 13 update ram management has become so much better I opened the app in the morning and it runs in the background till night. And when I open the app it will start from where I left off. very good work in that by Xiaomi. Actually am using Redmi Note 10 Pro.

Can someone explain to me why latest processors like the Snapdragon 680 and Snapdragon 695 5G don't have 4K video recording and playback, but an ancient processor, Snapdragon 625, has 4K video recording and playback in my Mi Max 2?
They messed up in these processers . They are capable of 4k but still didn't even support 60 fps in FHD

Redmi Note 12 Pro should've had Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. The rest is fine. I was waiting to buy it, but I don't trust MediaTek processors. Redmi Note 12 has Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, but it misses out on stereo speakers, which I want. It's very difficult to get a well-rounded phone in the mid-range market now. Redmi Note 10 Pro was the last best choice in that segment. Also, the brands have deliberately shifted the mid-range category from ₹13-18K to ₹20-25K while omitting some features. You only get the base model for ₹15K now, instead of the 'Pro' model.
Mediatek processors are long lasting than snapdragons

They should have given sd card slot.
Considering MIUI phones can die randomly from a software update, having your docs, pics, videos etc on sd card is a plus.
And no need for costly cloud storage, and wifi upload speed is slow no matter how high your speed is ( my jiofiber is 100Mbps, and no matter which cloud service I tried, the upload speed was limited to 8-16 Mbps)🥲

But we should get something around (100/8) MBps on a 100Mbps connection........ but google photos restricts speed to only 16-20 Mbps ( or around 2 MBps) no matter how fast your WIFI CONNECTION is.
Also the issue is there with all cloud services, they are slow af and never upload at full speed.....

Initially redmi phones works fine but after some time its performance goes down but its true that OnePlus nd Motorola phones give decent nd stable performance for a long time.
Just don't update the OS.
Alternate would be to wait for 1-2 month after the phone receives update and then decide after looking at data available online regarding the stability of update.
