    So so moist and that's what she said 😂 best commentary yet in a video mate 👌🏽
    I really like this format and it shows the work you put in behind the scenes learning a relatively new fish and the techniques that go with it.
    No doubt that the American large mouth will take that 12incher with the size of their mouth... just got to find the bigger size of fish I reckon.
    Beautiful area you live in mate 👌🏽

    Interesting mate. I caught my big girl on a speedy worm in watermelon in Nebraska, but fished as slow as I could, as long as the tail vibrated. The wacky rig seemed to catch the smaller fish...

    • @ByronTeaHill

      Wacky rig is good at that, can catch the big ones too!!!

    Was the braid you're using on the 10 inch worm when you snapped it off Saltiga 12 strand by chance?

    Wouldn't believe the story of re-catching your lost line and the fish on the end if you told me in a pub, but you have the video proof! Very cool

      Haha! I agree. It actually happened on the winning fish on AFC maybe a year ago. Again, you wouldn’t believe it if it wasn’t on film.

      @@ByronTeaHill I was wondering, is that why they fish straight through braid? Just because of their style and size of lures?

  • @tonypaine4958
    @tonypaine4958 Год назад +1

    Hi Bryon, I wonder how these lures would work in our dams chasing. Bass just watched Carl's video on his falcon. , it's great to see Aussie giving it a go in America. Take care, mate 👍

      I reckon the "wacky rig" with a small-er worm could work on impoundment bass. Speedworm, probably not...

    Definitely a whole different world over there hey mate. It felt really wrong watching your hand on the spool dragging a fish up the bank. I don't think we've got many urban/manmade freshwater fishing opportunities like that here in Australia, and I'd bet that the ones that exist are flooded with carp as well. Love to see how you progress in the months to come and what sort of stuff will pop up on the channel. Just wondering, were you fishing braid straight through to the hook, and did you "sample" anything from the mango tree and if so was it any good compared to Australia? Looking forward to the next one 🤙🤙

    • @ByronTeaHill
      @ByronTeaHill  Год назад

      Hahaha yeah dude. Went to the golf club house yesterday to check and they said have at it. A few have come home since!
      25lb braid, straight through to the hook. As much as I’d love to get my hands next to the water… those gators mean I keep myself always a couple feet back.
      Maybe as I get more comfortable I’ll get closer but for the moment land based, I’m hanging back a meter or three.

      @jaar8320 Год назад +1

      @@ByronTeaHill Looks like a super promising spot for sure, glad to see its open season on the tree as well. I completely understand the gators, its pretty funny looking at the complete separation between landing fish over in america to netting a bream hooked on 4lb over here hey.

    Awesome video Byron. I was born and raised in Central Florida, not more than 15 minutes down the road from where you are, but live in New England now. It is nice to watch the the fishing I grew up doing and still do when I make it back home. We have great freshwater fishing in New England but nothing compares to Florida Largemouth Bass fishing. Have no doubt, even a .5lb LMB will suck down a 12" worm. Watch some videos on RUclips of them eating large worms, they usually hit it, hold for a second, then inhale the rest of it. So when using larger worms, give them a second to inhale it before you set that hook and you will decrease those missed fish. Also, aeration or not, if there is a puddle of water in FL there are LMB in it. I've caught 5lbers from 1/4 acre ponds on the side of the road. There are also probably gators in it also. If you want to get in to the double digit club, 10+ pounder, get some live golden shiners. It isn't as sporting or exhilarating as fishing artificial, but all of my double digit LMB have been caught using live shiners. Thanks for sharing your videos and best of luck!
