You actually moved up the bream circuit here super fast, I really hope you crack the big time as you have a great persona in front of the camera which nowadays is almost more important than fishing skills, they can be learnt
Mate the abt was a great experience. I was lucky enough to run 5 rounds in 2022 which was a lot of fun. I’d recommend it to any one wanting to learn about fishing quicklyx
So happy that you’re happy and of the course the fam! Super excited that you’re back to making some content again, soo cool to see you’re first ever kayak videos now do something even more bloody amazing. Love watching US bass content, keen to see your mint videos come out and yes co angler video would be amazing haha.
ha, I never really thought of the progression but I guess you're right. horrible kayak videos to something at least a few of you can get through is pretty cool. Always awesome seen you guys keep coming back
I’m a fellow Aussie fishing enthusiast who just moved to the States a year ago with his family. Stoked for you and the new content, mate!! I need to buy back all the fishing gear I sold in the move and get back out on the water like you. Thanks for the inspiration 🥹
Dude the bass over there look angry as haha. I have no idea about the area being in Vic, but I follow some American youtubers who hit up the mountains for trout. Worth a look if you have time to spare. Wipe the dust off the old Daiwa presso/double clutches 👌👌👌
That's an awesome clip Byron! Loved that story about sitting on the porch when you're 70! So many of us could only wish we could do the same! Really looking forward to seeing your new clips! Gotta say aTommy Wood video would be awesome - it's not every day an Aussie wins an Open first go! What an angler! If you're up for it one day, maybe some reviews or previews of baits techniques etc that you reckon could play in Australia too! All the best!
Glad you enjoyed it legend. thanks for supporting the channel mate. I'll get working on the Tommy Videos. yeah I think thats a great idea, videos on american techniques sound pretty interesting
Nice one mate and good luck. It's always had me buggered why the baitcasters in the first place? Just seems like more to go wrong in the heat of battle. Also, 73MPH, gees, not a lot of room for error at that speed eh...
Cheers dude and you're right. Baitcasters do offer a fair amount of control whilst the lure is in the air. I think if australian fish took heavier lures you would see the tournament guys with them, but baitcasters don't do great in that ultra light finesse space. Issues with the spool trying to feed the line out.
Welcome to the US! I'm in Florida also but near St. Petersburg. Its way too expensive over there where you are, you should move to this side better fishing 😊
nice to c u rollin again mate. ur fams finally over there now n settled into the new home n ur work is progressing nicely. also u have a fishing mate with the same fishing mentality as urs is a cool thing to find across the world n u can do tournaments together, life is gud for BTH. nice boat n running Millerods i c, nice. i did watch Tommys win, so damn cool. show the footage of the open u have mate. i am interested in the power pole move n wat it can bring to my style of fishing. looking forward to ur opinions of the move.
Mate it’s great to be back thank you. Yeah give me a month using the move and I’ll have it together for you. Tommy was awesome to let me use his footage. Millerods yes, his rod descriptions tell me what I should be doing with them so it’s taken one variable out for me.
@ByronTeaHill Yeah, always. Content is awesome bud only recently came across it over last few months and like the detail and seems pretty down to earth. I'm out now but still heavily in Aviation in Vic.
Byron, Welcome to the US and welcome to Florida. I live in Titusville 45 minutes east of Orlando. If you ever need a partner or a local to show you around, I would love to fish with you when you Pre-fish the state or just need to get a line wet. Good Luck & Tight Lines. , Bill Pack
Hey mate, great video 🤙🏼 just a question, are the bass tournaments over there a similar format as ABT over here in AUS with the non boater aspect of it? So the average angler like me can just have a go… I have a family over in the states and wouldn’t mind having a go at one of these tournaments just for the experience..
Yeah mate, any punter can jump on and it’s similar in that it’s first in best dressed with spots available. Highly recommend it. And there’s cash in the coangler space also!!!
It’s been awesome to watch your journey over the last few yrs. Takes a lot to move your family over congrats. As far as fishing goes mate I just wonder, as far as fishing and skull dragging them to the boat, alot of casts for not much fun/fight. We fish light for the enjoyment of what the fish can do, skull dragging on 50lb braid seems a little over before it starts. (I could be completely wrong) but that’s my opinion on the view of what I’ve watched of US fishing. Anyway keep it up as long as your enjoying it that’s the main thing.
Hey Brice, thanks for that. the last few years have been wild. i'd say its different, the scope for how to catch fish is much wider, If you want to run sub 10lb and go finesse, you can do that... and will need to that when the pressure is high on the fish. BUT, you also get to catch hawwwwgs if you want! Thanks legend. keen to see you on here again
Great to see a new vid. Chuffed for you. 1. Definitely a Open video, would love more commentary on the differences in Oz/US tournaments. 2. How the F is old mate seeing anything not wearing sunnies at 110kph? 3. Loved the family chat, heartfelt stuff. It feels relatable and highlights that things that you want are worth chasing- knowing it will be hard. 4. Your little bloke will be better than you with a baitcast by the time he is 10. Never met you, never cancelled the $4 or whatever (enjoy the coffee btw), just.. you know.. good stuff and all that.
Hey mate, your support of the channel has been awesome! Copy the open vid, A good visor should direct the wind away from the driver yet let them still sit above the console (phsyics or something). Would have been good to drop by your store before I left to be honest. hope all is well dude.
@@ByronTeaHill hey man I'm just north of orlando. I've got an outback, if you get another yak I would def take you out on some of the harris chain of lakes. I work for the state doing water quality and know some juicy spots! Not a pro like you but I have a good time haha. Take care man!
Awesome story telling skills. Good luck in the U.S.A. Going to miss your reviews of Australian market lures and gear but looking forward to see your journey in the U.S As soon as you start to talk funny im leaving...😂
So happy to see another one of your vids and that you and the family are settling in well over there mate 😊 Keen to see some more of those American bass... Crazy heavy gear, Almost comparable to murray cod or Barra gear over here. How big do they grow? As always great content mate and put a big smile on my face, especially the high speed boat race at the end 👌🏽
Hey legend, always good to hear from you and yeah I do think there is a comparisson with our species. I would say the difference is its much more target rich over here. They do get over 15lbs but realistically 3-4lb is normal
Congratulations and welcome to the USA. I know it is difficult to make the move. I wish you the best of luck here and success. I look forward to your videos here. Florida is wonderful place to fish. I hope to see you in California one day.
There’s a surprise at the end a few of you keep commenting about… Legends, if you want that Bassmaster Opens video - Let me know here!

Nice!!! and thank you
Good luck with your adventure Byron. The need for speed there legend at the end of your clip 🏎
It was a crazy ride at the end. You’re the second to comment on it. Maybe I should put the whole run up?
Agree- how the F do they not have more accidents. 73mph and be way and dudes going the same the other way!
How big is daiwa over there mate is it like the bass reel of choice?
I’d say they have a bigger % of the market in Aus. But I’m sure they trade bigger numbers here in the USA.
Definitely hit us up with the Open vid.
Thanks for the update to legend!
Got it! By popular demand!!!

hahaha I will at some point for sure Matt. the Bass are proper angry and are trying to kill every lure you send past them.
Well, it was either this or hosting the next "New price is right", I think you've made the right choice
Bahahaha, Come on’ downnnn!
@ByronTeaHill 😂😂😂 you would've nailed it let's be honest!

Hey peter, it is very expensive lol. we'll give this a go for a little then move around the US, but want to discover and adventure all of it.
@@ByronTeaHill Have you checked out the Everglades yet?
Man I’ve always been so jealous of the density bass over there shits all over the humble aus bass.
