Man, this is kind of a bummer to see. His knees are completely chewed up by a NBA career. It is crazy that this guy was even able to suit up in the last few years of his career. A fucking legend.

If y'all weren't already aware, Nowitzki is (or was) an incredibly good tennis player who won major youth singles and doubles competitions in Germany as a kid and actually has stated multiple times that it was his favorite sport and the one he probably most wanted to go pro in. His wife, Jessica, is also a very talented and accomplished tennis player and she's mentioned that he has one of the best serves she's ever seen. I know, I know, pickleball is absolutely not tennis, but just to give y'all some insight into why he's actually pretty good.
