I have a hypalon sup/boat I've tried this on. I've tried twice now and it keeps leaking. Although the seam is more closed than before, it still hasn't sealed completely.
For anyone wondering, I think it's best to apply some glue and let it get tackyfor 10-20 minutes apply more, then clamp together. I'm gonna try a 3rd time before throwing it away or taking it to a shop.

Is your repair still holding? Have other seams opened up? Just wondering how wise it is to repair seams on a board where the glue may have broken down. Many thanks.

@@petejenkins1499 If the seam of your Red has popped in the sun like mine doesn't it mean the glue has broken down causing more seams to open up?

I can’t find actual mek in stores or online, can the “mek substitute” work for this project specifically?

Working with MEK in a closed garage with no respirator? Not a good idea. Maybe you were wearing a respirator, but you seem to make no mention of it, I didn't see one in the video. From Honeywell's web site:
A disposable mask cannot be used with MEK.
It must be a full facepiece reusable respirator with organic vapor chemical cartridges up to 3000 PPM.
Anything over 3000 ppm work site concentration would be supplied air only.
A filter will only protect against particulates in the air, it has no chemical protection whatsoever.

Is it still working? my paddle board seam let go so off to home depot to give it a try thanks for the vid

Yes, it's still working. As a bit of insurance, I've been avoiding leaving my board out in the direct sun, when it's out of the water, and also making sure I don't inflate above the SUP's rated psi pressure. I hope you got yours working too?

      Mahre Time is correct. It's a Sevylor 12 Volt 15PSI / 1 BAR / 100 KPA pump.

A lot of fluff… shortening vids would be key. Not into watching paint dry.
