Hello , can l administer medications with a start date but no end date (antidepressants)
Also if my time is 1800 and the 0800 morning dose there is an X in the box , is it okay for me to proceed with my 18:00 due medications

Emer. I have to repeat my Implementation. Because Time was not enough for me. In the stat dose there were 3 drugs given. And 2 to be given because the patient was NBM in the morning. It was in the regular medicine and coded as 8. So I had to read it all over again. There were 3 drugs not due in my time. So its like 8 medicine. So when I read the drugs chart can I skip without reading fully by saying its not due in my time so Im moving to the next chart. Like that. Should I read all the medicine in the drugs chart. And the next should we sign or should we just put the initials only. T

Hi, sorry to hear that and congratulations on passing the rest of the stations. You are repeating the same drug chart you failed on, so you basically know the answers. Manage your time better next time, and yes, you can write your initials instead of your signature. You can do it!

Thank you so much Emer. I got a date on the 05.08.22 Northumbria. Anyway last time I got amoxicillin to be given. But my patient is allergic and her morning dose was given. So I had to show concern about that. I coded it 10 and wrote it on the back. But my Friend told me that I can code it as code 6 which is prescription incorrect. Can I use code 6 Emer. Because I always used 10. But it takes my time.

@@anuradhadesilva7168 if you are writing 6 then no need to write the reason at the back . If you are writing code 10, you must explain what code 10 means. Good luck ❤️

Emer can l administer medications eg antidepressants and Ferrous sulfate with start dates but no end date or duration for a PHQ9 patient with depression

According to the test centre’s announcement, yes.
If you think about it, maintenance medications do not have end dates because patients might take them for an extended period or the rest of their lives. Best of luck

    Hello Emer,
Is the implementation part of the OSCE always Medication Administration?

Hi Emer, in the implementation last page for code 10 or delayed doses, do we need to write all codes of medicine that we omitted in our time or only code 10

Hi Binu, just for code 10 . The reason behind that is code 10 means OTHERS, so you have to explain what ‘other’ means. Good luck
