    *NEW UPDATE INFO: IF YOU NOTICE A ROUGH IDLE or STALLING after performing this task, here's what you need to do.
    What has happened is, when you disconnected the battery, it reset the PCM, "power control module".
    More than likely, your throttlebody is really dirty and resetting it to factory defaults and the PCM picked up on it. What I would do is spray down the throttle body with throttle body cleaner. You can pick it up at your local auto parts store. Make sure you disconnect the battery when doing this. Afterwards, reconnect so it resets again. After that everything should run fine. Throttle body cleaner is in the link above. ☝️

    We had the same problem, pulling the fuses, etc. did not cure it. But what did work was this; as a last resort, we pulled both battery cables off, touched them together (NOT TO THE BATTERY!) to discharge any residual electrical/capacitive fields in the system to ground. Both fuses were then pulled, the cables hooked back up to the battery, the car started, then both fuses reinstalled. Fixed the problem.

    Thank you SOOOOO MUCH!
    Follow up one week later: Once I started my vehicle to go out later the same problem existed from before. The actuator has gone bad but this did work. So if I didhave to replace a malfunctioning part this would be a great thing to do get it back online and working because it actually did work. It also let me know i had to just replace a bad part.

    Ok so if your watching this video, you probably disconnected your battery for too long and now you don’t have air blowing in your face. (which really sucks when you live in the southern stares) you have probably tried all the fixes and suggestion available to fix this and you are tired of putting money in your trailblazer that seems to be held together with freaking Elmer’s glue. Well I can’t tell you how to make the dang thing recalibrate when nothing seems to be working but I did find a way to cool off without it. If you remove your headrest and turn on your backseat AC you can turn the vents located on the ceiling directly behind the front seats 180 degrees and it will blow nice cold air down your back. I wish I had read a comment like this a few weeks ago when I finally gave up on trying to recalibrate. Hope this comment helps someone to be more comfortable if they can’t fix it either.

    I tried this a couple times on my girlfriends 2004 envoy, no luck. Maybe I didnt do it right ill keep trying. Ill tell you what does work sort of: I rammed a fish tape down the dash vents to open it and then you get air blasting out like it should. However once you restart the vehicle you have to do it again. So Im guessing the actuator works but the computer needs to be reset. Anyway I just left the fish tape rammed in there so my girlfriend has AC all the time. I guess ill try to reset the computer again some more. If I cant ill have her take it to the mechanic. This is a quick and dirty way to get cold AC out of your vents if you have a fish tape or something similar.

      Same fues if it's not blown. If it is blown put a new fuse with the same amps back in. The whole idea is you're trying to drain the constant power to the computer for a brief moment, it acts like a reset button.

      hassan rakha Check all your fuses. Could have poped one reconnecting the battery cables. if that doesn't fix it then you might have to pull the actuator fuses,then turn the key "not" to start position but the (ON) position until you hear all the control stopping,that might reset the actuators.

    Did not work. Our shop laptop has GM software and showed the commands are ok, but blend door motor not working.

  • @shawnwithee3187
    @shawnwithee3187 2 года назад

    That didn't work because it's not the problem. The problem is the foam sealer inside the blend doors when it decinigeates it let's the door go past the factory setting. I live in Florida so I only want AC so it's the middle actuator on drivers side up towards the windshield. I manually turned the actuator without removing it then left the wire harness plug off. Works fine 2 weeks later.

      lo que pasa es que supuestamente al cortar o desconectar la batería la computadora recuerda el último parámetro de cómo estaba el selector del aire acondicionado, y ya solamente funciona nada más la ventilación hacia abajo o arriba, quién sabe sea cierto eso, la forma más fácil es probar él actuador del sistema de ventilación frontal, sí existe señal para él actuador cuando se le da vuelta al selector a la izquierda pero él actuador no funciona, Entonces es él actuador el problema, por el contrario si no hay corriente señal el problema es de otro lado

      Very inaccurate. Most of what he said is dead wrong & misleading the people.
      And majority o f these GM issues aren't as simple to fix as reset!! I really love his large Crescent wrench on a tiny 5/16" battery bolt!!! He doesn't even know the names of the hvac outlets!!! Definitely not a Master tech or any tech. Worst video I have seen in yrs.

    my 2006 chevy, trailblazer blows hot air in the rear after changing the two rear actuators. The front vent does not blow any air. All other vents work. Can anyone tell me whats going on?

    • @Nthefastlane

      Marva Samuel Make sure they installed the correct actuators. Some acuators are the correct part number but actually turn the wrong direction and leave the blend door open. I've personally had this happen.

  • @Troy2KJackalTickets

    So I tried this like you said...caused another issue. Now not only does the vent selection still not work...now my RPMs dip so low when the airs on it shuts off the engine. Tried it over again...and disconnected the battery again and still does it. Thanks for more issues. fuck!

    • @Nthefastlane
      @Nthefastlane  7 лет назад

      Was the fuse put back in the same spot? If so, you could have a clog in the refrigerant line or a bad compressor. The Idle Air Control Solenoid could be acting up as well.

    Try at your own risk I'll see it worked for some people I tried it and now my envoy is running like s*** it has to go to modern Chevrolet to figure out what the problem is now I went from AC blowing only on the floor and defrost 2 idle problems and my envoy turning off when I turn on the AC it didn't work for me like I said at your own risk

    • @Nthefastlane
      @Nthefastlane  5 лет назад

      Another person had the same issue, here's what you need to do.
      What has happened is, when you disconnected the battery, it reset the PCM, "power control module". More than likely, your throttlebody is really dirty and resetting it to factory defaults the PCM picked up on it. What I would do is spray down the throttle body with throttle body cleaner, you can pick it up at your local auto parts store. Make sure you disconnect the battery when doing this and afterwards reconnect so it resets again. After that everything should run fine.
