- The day has finally come! After two weeks of orientation (and 4 years of residency before that) I’m finally an attending doctor 😳😳 Honestly, I’m pretty anxious but hoping to get less and less nervous as I settle into my new job.

For me is like nostalgia, I started watching your videos during high school was inspired and excited for becoming a doctor. You were my role model, it amazing seeing what you have accomplished.

you amazed me to no end with your discipline, consistency and productivity.
Thank you for your representation as a working mother. I’ve been following you for years now, so it’s nice to follow your accomplishments. I am in my last semester as an NP and getting married next year, so it’s comforting to know that I can also have a family while perusing my dream career 🩺
Also glad you’re in California! Hope to run into you one day ❤
I was JUST thinking about when you will put out another video! Benjamin is sooo cute! Also, it seems you have many anxieties in this stage of your life which can feel exhausing and/or overwhelming, but you got this 😊 Everything is temporary, so as you said, every day you will become less anxious and more experienced. ❤️💙
Thank you 🤍🤍🤍
Congratulations Jamie!! It's been incredible witnessing your journey from med school to being an attending. started watching your videos because I had trouble focusing when I first started uni. I have now graduated from Pharmacy School and have been working my dream job for a year. You've helped us all out so much. Thank you!
You're incredibly hardworking! Congrats on becoming an attending and on being an awesome mom!❤️

I am so happy to see that there is a new video! I've been watching your videos for the last few years and you have always motivated me to do my best. Whenever I thought that life was so complicated and hectic, your videos always inspired me to just keep going. I'm much older than you and in a different field, but somehow I find your videos very relatable. Thank you for making the time to film them and show us your daily life. One day you will look back and would not believe you were able to do all of that and still maintain your positive attitude and keep smiling, even after an exhausting shift. You are such an inspiration, Jamie! Just remember to take care of yourself too and rest whenever you can! 💗
AHHHHHHHHH, so happy for you! and it was so heart-warming to see your family moments
love seeing you still living life throughout all the challenges you go through every day, your videos really give me hope while in med school!
Rolling Blackouts are pretty normal here in CA, especially when it’s hot! They usually give notices that they’ll be occurring.
what a journey!!🎉🎉🎉.. the whole intern ride, residency and now attending.. just breath taking!
I just love your little baby and you & your little family! Your husband is wonderful too! Thank you for sharing with us.

The rolling blackouts in CA take awhile to get used to. Highly recommend a backup generator for the fridge and propane stove for cooking
Hi Dr. Jamie. I've been watching your videos since I was a premed and now I am a first year emergency medicine resident in Canada. Congrats on your journey and I'm very happy for you!
I've been watching your videos since you were a med student and I was just a college student. Surprise! Now that you're an attending, I'm now a 1st year resident (passed my boards just last year). I feel like I grew with you and it's so grounding and heartwarming to know that even you as an attending still gets nervous whenever it's your first time at anything. Thank you so much for the inspiration

you're an amazing mom
That’s super cute! 🥹❤️
This is just so inspiring....
With regards to power outages in California. It depends on where you live. California is more cautious with fires meaning that if there is a high risk for fire that day they will turn off the power. However in large cities that does not happen as often.
Benji is SOO cute! Love your vlog
I feel you on the night shifts..currently an intern doing night shifts for 2 weeks. 3 more nights to go!
Oh my god I remember when u started the study with me trend back when u were Ahmed student I’m really happy to see you succeed 😢❤❤
ive only been close to someone in their residency not fellowship so this is cool just to be able to see :)
As a new nurse I have dealt with some mean ass attendings but I know you’ll never be like that Katie! Congrats!
Whoa congratulations 😍🎉
Congratulations on being an attending! Med student here, can you talk more about how the "good med student" you mentioned help a lot during your shift?
Yeah I’d like to hear about this too haha taking notes on what to do better!
He was super thorough, did lots of reassessments of the patient, open communication, eager to see new patients/try or observe procedures. First two are really helpful since medical students don’t typically carry too many patients.
yay! i miss your videos!
Congratulations 🎉
MY ROLE MODEL LOVE YOU ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Aww you're family is just too cute! Benji is growing up so fast!
I feel like i missed a video? When did you relocate to LA?

Video request: What's in my bag : Attending Edition.
Let's keep the tradition alive. 🥰
Pls reply
How did you get glasses again ???
Benji so cute 😍
This may be a strange question but why do you in the states always wear your scrubs at home and while driving? In Europe we pick up fresh scrubs every day at the hospital and drop it off in the laundry box when we leave. We never take scrubs outside of the hospital unless we go with the ambulance or something of the sort.
Thank you so much for showing us this perspective on living and working cause sometimes I struggle to believe it would be manageable.
OMG I’m from Guyana in South America and that legit looks like bora you’re cutting up.
benji is sooooooo cute
Did you get out of New YOrk?
Beautiful
Jamie, when you're tired how much does your husband help out with housework and chores? I hope you're not overworking yourself at work and at home. Sending love.
I've missed a lot? A husband? A baby? Last time I watched you were in med school. LOL! Congratulations.
You still have board exams even after becoming an attending?
Yes! Once every 10 years for board certification 🥲
What happened to the kitty? Did she make the move?
She’s with a family friend now! Forever a NYC cat 🐈
Sad to not have Ellie the cat in your videos anymore.
No judgment. But it still makes me sad that people leave their pets behind.
