Hi mate. I was sold an ultra cheap A1200 board with the through holes/pivots or whatever they are called missing. Likely the person who sold it tried to recap it and ripped them out. Anyway my point being I am going to have to do something similar to what you have just removed.
sorry, but you would have been WAY better off snipping the caps. I was amazed that you used that heatgun with a massive hole instead of a smaller hole so you could better aim and target the components you wanted to remove - also incredible that the keyboard connector and audio jacks didn't melt and that you were lucky some of the smaller SMD components didn't get blown out of their place, luckily you most likely did not have much speed on the blower and finally using a solder iron and then tipping one side of the cap up means your were most likely tipping/lifting the pad on the other side of the cap, you are a very lucky guy.
Thank you for your response. The caps that are removed were hot glued in place and soldered with wires. That is why I used a heat gun to warm the glue. The audio Jacks were already damaged and were replaced. The heat was on low to not damage the plastic. I didn’t care about the jacks as I replaced them. The biggest problem was the missing tracks that had wires soldered to them.

The last repairer had pulled tracks off and soldered wires to the remaining pads. It works but looked awful :)
@@mjnurney Is it just me who was very surprised by the removal of the condos with a screwdriver?
(condos = capacitors)
