Why you? Because you were a vulnerable child. Because you had no dad and practically no mom. No proper adult to house, feed, love and protect you. And that's what predators like. The vulnerable with no one behind them. That's why this continously happened, because you were continously without protection. And they should've been ashamed for failing you. I hope they've seen the errors of their ways. You had no fault in it, and I'm sure you know that. I know that now too. Thank you for being open with us and sharing. It's hard but it helps others see the bigger picture and why these things happen and how we can stop it. You're the best ❤

Thank you, Lex. Thank you for giving a voice of what we all felt going through situations that we weren’t vouched for and allowing predators around without regard or what it did to us. I wish I could’ve have stepped up the adults responsible for allowing this POS to be around, but even to this day I feel like there’s a block and I can’t. Because the times I spoke up, I got a “shut up, you’re being a brat. You don’t know any better you’re a kid.” Or made me feel like my expression towards this POS was an exaggeration. To this day, the people responsible justify THEIR feelings of having him around, and can’t have the capacity to be empathetic and know what it was like to grow up with that POS.
Seeing how brave you were from a young age and speaking on things, not giving up just makes me feel like fuck yeah. Someone out there did it. Even though your path was so difficult and you went through so many hard things, you’ve overcome it to know who you are and speak up for yourself. I know it’s not easy and the journey feels like it never ends, but you’re handling it in the most amazing way possible and helping the rest of us heal through your stories and bravery to speak up. Thank you for sharing your story love ❤️ I don’t think it’s fair that the weight of “why you” was even presented to you. The adults should of stood back an reflected “why did I let this happen again I failed” that seems like they deflected and did not want to take accountability. I think you were preyed on because these creeps and psychos saw the target on your back. She’s vulnerable, easy to isolate, and maybe no one would believe her. They are called predators because they prey on that. Hurt my heart that something traumatic happened to you and you had to make others feel ok. I know u said it wasn’t Tommy’s fault but, Alexis it was her fault. She is the adult in that situation. She let a grown man get to comfortable. She can throw a cup of spit at you but can’t protect u against a predator? She was dead ass wrong. Tommy could of done more for you but she didn’t. And wasn’t the first time she failed you against a creep. Little lex deserved more from the adults in her life and you don’t deserve to carry the weight of that they do. The fact that you were able to share details about what happened to you is amazing. Because so many of us are so afraid to speak up, just to be blamed or accused of being provocative in some ways. So many of us have been hurt more than once and more than just one person. But unfortunately we stay quiet and pretend like it’s normal or that it never happened. In elementary, middle school, highschool I had guys grab my butt, I literally was a tomboy n wore long shirts to cover my butt too. I had my 1st “bf” at 16 n broke up after a week cuz he was trying to do too much. Idk why all these dudes thought it was ok to grab me n I was just a nerdy shy girl. To this day I still don’t wear bikinis or anything revealing cuz of my experiences with sick men who try things. You be looking like a boy n they do not care. Some people need to stop blaming kids. Im glad I never lost my self respect thinking “all men are like this, I should just flaunt it” hell nah, I’m glad I found a respectful man who understood I was uncomfortable with things and was patient with me. Together for 13yrs now 🥰. He is the best

I hate to say it but this has happened to me so many times....I always felt like my trauma wasn't legitimate enough because I didn't fight or scream. And then the person always turns it around like I wanted to... like I was participating in it or didn't object. Predators target people with insecurity. It just makes me want to stay away from people. I'm still working on standing up for myself and setting boundaries. I know you gave a trigger warning but it was actually really therapeutic to hear your story it makes me feel less alone💞 You're awesome for doing what you do 💕💖
Love the reason why “men” felt comfortable with doing things like that you is because they saw that you didn’t have anyone stable or solid to be there and protect you. I was always embarrassed trying to talk to others about what happened to me because certain situations happened more than once but i genuinely feel from the first time it happened that's what stuck with me so much that i always froze in situations and was to scared to scream or fight because i didn't want something worse to happen and I've always hated myself for it even though i know it wasn't my fault.
