As someone rapidly approaching state pension age (not sure how that happened!!) I would tell my 30 year old self, don’t take your health for granted and be who you want to be, not who you feel others think you should be & if you want to say no to something then say it. Care less about what others think of you and just be true to yourself. Actually I did start adopting some of this in my mid 30’s but unfortunately always took my health for granted which has come back to bite me somewhat!

I would like to have cultivated the art of “letting go” a lot earlier. It’s so freeing to move on from things more quickly and not let them take over your mind 🤯

As a 60 year old, I would say, enjoy every day, life is so precious. My 30 th was so happy as everyone was alive, now, it’s ok to stop sit and ponder, cheers to the future. ❤

I’m 32 and feeling quite lost in life if I’m honest! The job I thought I’d want to stay in doesn’t bring me joy anymore, and I’m rethinking my whole career choices and what’s best for my future… 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s normal to feel lost sometimes, harder to admit! You’re doing that and you have time to find something that fulfils you. Good luck👏

I would have told myself to be financially independent. It’s proved difficult not being.

My,you are right Liz. Pete and I have been married 50 years god willing October and people often ask what's the secret? Our reply "sit down together and discuss the problems", and we have always found that worked for us".We have had disagreement over the years and we have come through it because of the way we've handled the situation. I'm sure it's very difficult Liz when you are running a business, looking after the family too and often that can cause problems .My husband worked away a lot and we were together for 1 year out of the first five years of our marriage which we realised when we sat down and worked out the time we spent together .I'll be of purchasing the book too which I'm sure I will enjoy reading.😊

I wish I had left my job sooner, rather than stick it out for 34 years, as it really affected my mental health. I wish Id discovered Intermittent Fasting years ago rather than stay on the fad diet treadmill. I wished that I had come to terms with my wild curly hair sooner, rather than wasting money on chemical straightening trying to adhere to the modern trend of straightened hair.

What I would tell my younger self would be = the only thing that really matters in life is when you look in the mirror you see a nice soul ,everything else matters not.

Liz hi, can I ask you please are you still friends with, Sally Mean, Penny Smith, Eamon Holmes, and Simon Bianchi from GMTV, I loved all them guys and I used to watch them getting ready for work in my 20s. I would tell myself go to New York, I had the chance in 1994, to do a swap with a USA government employee, I was 25, I foolishly lost my bottle. I love USA and New York. Big mistake
