On July 3, 2022,
Officer patrolled the area and watched a Black Honda Accord back from a parking space near the buildings and stopped abruptly when the vehicle's lights faced my marked patrol vehicle. The vehicle then returned to the same parking space and remained for some time. The vehicle then left and turned left on the road, then entered another buildings. As the driver passed me, I ran the TAG and found that the registered owner was a female with a suspended license. I could also see that the driver was a female. Finding the movement of the vehicle suspicious and seeing that the operator may not have a valid license, I drove toward the vehicle to initiate a traffic stop.
Officer watched the female driver exit the vehicle with a purse as I approached. Simultaneously, a transparent container I recognized as an alcoholic beverage fell from her purse. The Driver, Whitney Gaither's body and breath, smelled of an alcoholic beverage as we spoke. She slurred her words, used the vehicle to balance, and even told me she had "a couple shots" to celebrate July 4. Gaither would further explain that she had consumed half of a pint of Ciroc liquor earlier in the day. Yet, the aroma was very prevalent. Ultimately, Gaither refused to participate in Standard Field Sobriety Testing; therefore, I applied double-locked behind-the-back handcuffs to her wrist. I read Gaither Implied Consent for breath and blood, and she refused to consent to both. Finally, I transported and released her to the Clarke County Jail.

I happen to be a white woman myself but even I know that your statement is incorrect. If you believe that every cop has this attitude with people who are cooperative you are wrong. There are plenty of cops who use their power over people as a means to intimidate. I’ve seen that with my own eyes. When it comes to minorities there are also plenty of police officers that profile based on their skin color and could careless what they have to say

Every state legislature should pass a law that says you MUST under penalty of law immediately put your phone down when you make contact with LEO'S. It would definitely speed up the interaction because the suspect would have to focus on what the officer was saying and not what mama, daddy, boyfriend, brother, blah blah blah on the phone is telling them. Most of these people can barely focus on one conversation. They absolutely cannot focus on a police officer and whoever is holleringan their ear through their phone. The intelligence just does not reach that required level.
A few questions on the DL test about police stops and what to do would be a good idea!
