      Honestly, trains over in America are pretty cool looking. But you should see the trains down in Australia, for example. We have the Sydney Train System, and there are no lengthy classification of locomotives (like the P32ACDM) we have relatively short designations (like the “Waratah” A & B Set, “Tangara” T Set) just to name a few

      You know when a train is approaching the main guy and you always hear this type of horn in my opinion. But still, it's a great horn and one of my favourites

    I had no idea just how long those trains are in Canada. I came across a lot them when I drove from Brantford (Ontario) to Calgary. I am now back in the UK. I never thought I would miss the sight & sound of those huge machines.
    I would like some of those horns on my car. Ideal when the car in front has the driver on his/her mobile. I am sure it would get their attention. It would more than likely necessitate a change of underwear.

  • @Brian-kl1zu
    @Brian-kl1zu 8 лет назад +3

    Love it! Have you noticed that some locomotive engineers seem to be a bit lazy these days. There should be a full two longs; one short, and two longs. Some are barely into the second long blast when they enter the crossing. Personally; louder is better--I love the powerful sounding horns. It's a serious safety issue. Some American locomotive horns sound more like fog horns. Very weak sounding.

    • @davidallen6333
      @davidallen6333  8 лет назад +1

      Yes I have noticed some don't even blow at a whistle crossing or a bunch of short toots . thanks for your comment welcome to RUclips !

    • @Brian-kl1zu
      @Brian-kl1zu 7 лет назад +1

      You're welcome Dave. My second time around. Just as exciting listening to those power blasts. Re lazy engineers...I wrote 2 long, 1 short, 2 long. What was I thinking! Should have written 2L/1S/1Long.

    • @Ashley_van_Schooneveld
      @Ashley_van_Schooneveld 6 лет назад

      In the UK there are strict restriction on horn usage from engineers.

    • @exoressdelivers70
      @exoressdelivers70 3 года назад

      The two longs, one short and two longs (or one long at the end) is the standard for trains in the USA. Canadian trains only need to blow 3 times before entering the crossing. It doesn't have to be in a certain pattern. These are mainly Canadian trains.

      There is only 6 trains running on the Belleville Sub now minus this one , you can't make money if the trains don't run ? they need to run more and bigger trains in my opinion ? CN has more than they can handle that is why they are using foreign power now !

    • @bikerdude3r
