This is the only tutorial that actually made me understand how to do it! I made my first cornrow today, it ist perfect like yours but it’s something. I’ll practice from now on. Thank you ❤
I absolutely loved this tutorial and how it was so detailed down to how to grip the hair. Thank you so much Adia for making practicing braiding more easier for me
I like this tutorial my braids b looking like jail braids lol. This up close is better, i can now seewhere i went wrong. Thank you.❤ Now if i can just get my parting right to look straight. Lol
Soo i have four cornrows in my head done on myself thanks to you! This video will be the only one i watch every time i practice cornrows on myself. Yes practice makes perfect because these things will be up under a hat 🤣 Thank you! 😘
Thank you soooooo much😢😢😢😢😢it took me 1,654782 videos to get to this one,on how to braid my own hair. Plus I gotta baby girl on the way💞☺️shes due in January 🎉thank you 👑 Queen
i’m growing my hair out from a buzz and it’s at a length that i can’t do too much with it but i think long enough to do a few corn rows. this is very helpful and will probably try soon but i just can’t imagine successfully getting the back done
For shorter hair you just want to take your time and do more stitches. In other words you’re only adding a little bit of hair at a time to make sure it’s tight enough to grip the shorter hair. Let me know when you try. It makes me happy to know that this was helpful! 🥰
Thank you dear! That's so sweet of you to say. 🥰 It's nice to braid without extensions. I don't miss having got fight with the extensions getting tangled lol.
My issue is that I don't know how much hair to take in at 1 time. Meaning once I can't see, I don't know how much my fingers are 'picking up'. I end up having fat pieces and skinny pieces. So how do you identify how much hair to pick up as you go along?
@@dani8shawn As you practice your fingertips become your eyes back there. You get used to feeling how much hair you’re gripping… like if it’s too much or not enough. Also the key is to take your time and don’t rush finishing the braid. This way you’re focused on picking up smaller pieces.
But gurl I m so lost because my hair are much more longer and they keep getting entangled when I m trying to reach for hair Do u have tips for that pls ?
Ooo yes when your hair is longer it can be quite tricky. You almost need to use your fingers more because you have to make sure you detangle each time but you can only do it with one hand. Make sure each of the three strands are separated each time you do a stitch.
I have been there too! You really have to focus on keeping your fingers close to the scalp and keeping some tension on all of the strands. With practice it will become second nature!
@@AdiaSharel Thank you thank you. I’ve been to focused on keeping it neat and keeping the pieces of hair proportionate I wasn’t getting close enough to my scalp. This definitely helped. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

You're so beautiful, can I know the hair colour of your hair? Is it a dye?
Thank you so much! 🥰 Yes I went to the salon and got it colored.
Thanks so much!!

I wish❤ I can do this but I don't know where to start I think I need to get a doll to practice
That’s a great way to learn. Amazon has some mannequins with hair. You should check it out!
Do you have a video on parting?
For individuals yes! I will definitely do one for straight back cornrows. Thanks for the idea!

You Stated That You Don't Use All That Gel And Pomade Will Doing The Crownrows Just How Much Kinky Curl
For this style I didn’t use gel and pomade. I used about less than a dime size amount for each cornrow.

Thank you simple technique but I have a learning disability and hope to learn from you.

Ohhh, that's why they yell you to bend your head down at the salon 😂.
@@FreeWilliams08 One of the reasons 😂😂😂
Doesn't your hair break more and more, because you make it yourself?
That's a great question. If you are doing protective styles and keeping them in for 1-2 weeks you are minimizing the manipulation.

❤🎉😂😊😊😊
I don't think I can braids cornrows on my own.I can only do a ponytail braids.
I bet you can! It takes some practice!
