Hello Oliver, yet another informative video from you. Its good to know that people from Denmark can speak English. I was excited when you spoke about the Start up visa but the moment you told about the caveat I saw the string of challenges. Great video Oliver. Thanks for the information
Hi Neel, Denmark is very strict with its migration laws. Hence they are restricting the ammount of people the let into their "paradise". But from my point of view their requirements on scaleability are fair. Cheers
To be honest, this is not an innovative Startup with disruptive potential, but a small business with limited impact. Hence, from my point of view you would need a different idea to get a residency there.
This is a very genral question. the answer would depened on the specifics of the potential offering. For sure it will not be an innovative Startup, correct?
I'm really confused about this video (and the whole series). Can you start a business in a country, where you are not living? I live in Denmark, but would not consider moving to Sweden, Norway, USA, Germany or any other place actually to start a business. I just find the video a bit od, I think.
Thank you for your comment. This series is meant to help those looking for the right surroundings to start their business. Not every country is equally good at offering opportunities for entrepreneurs and hence one needs to choose wisely where to go. Startups are really important to European countries because they create more jobs and future technology. Since You live in Denmark a country that is doing well in terms of enabling businesses, hence there is no need for you to change location. If however, you would be in Italy or Greece, things might look different. Hope this clarifies the series a little bit😀
@@AskMeStartUp but is it even possible to move to Denmark and start a business - just like that 🤔 can anybody do it? It’s easy for me to start here. I live here and was born here. But if I was born in Greece, would I be able to move to Denmark and start a business from scratch with just an idea … I’m really not sure it’s possible
@@sarahvissueldesigner Yes it is possible, that's why e.g Denmark has a Startup program to enable people to be able to relocate. As an EU citizen it's not of an issue at all (if you bring the funding to kick-off) but non-EU passport holders will require a special VISA and go through a more thorough screening process. In the end, we have to acknowledge that the war on talent is global and EVERY country wants to attract the smartest minds because they create wealth, jobs, and taxes....everything governments are in need of

I never knew Denmark has a high rate of English speakers
All Scandinavian countries have a high level of English speakers
even the senior citizens speak very good english. Makes you want to learn the language seeing how polite they are
Danish language is important
I guess any local language is important and learning it is a part of personal integration. Business wise English will be fine almost everywhere
Don’t forget you will pay 70% in taxes.
