Class of 1999, two days before graduation. Some of us got into the pool at Lund through the tunnels after midnight. And well... shenanigans. Do it. 😊

As a student, I was part of the team that pulled the very first fiber optic lines through the tunnels to connect all the buildings during the summer of '94 (yeah, I'm dating myself, lol). It was a fun project. I was glad we wore hardhats, since I bonked my head a few times while climbing through the steam pipes. We also chopped out the old Token Ring cabling from the basement of Andersen with branch loppers - not a tool commonly found in computer networking!

In 1980, I installed lightning surge suppressors on both ends of all cables for the mainframe terminals on campus. I don't recall having good lighting at the time. It was fun exploring how all of the building were connected. A hardhat would have been nice.
