Engineering the Gate-All-Around Transistor

Applied Materials engineers have been working with our customers for many years to develop the key materials engineering breakthroughs needed to build gate-all-around (GAA) transistors and power the AI era of computing. GAA transistors are a marvel of materials engineering. It takes hundreds of process steps to make a GAA transistor, with some playing a particularly important role in delivering better performance and power consumption. This video illustrates five of the key steps enabled by Applied Materials.
