What got me into this show, and the fandom itself, was the down-to-earth and chill moments that really brought the characters to life. You know you made something sweet, wholesome, and timeless when you can have your characters just relaxing and enjoying life and it still manages to captivate an audience.

I love that this show managed to combine all the characters into the same situations. So you get to see how each personality reacts. It was so peaceful and soothing. (The new one is a bit too... slapstick ... at times)

@@foodood8895 it's as canon as it gets. One episode he is sick in the spring and only gets better when snufkin arrives. Snorkmaiden even says that he is pining for him. And just check out the new show "moominvalley". It has Snufmin written all over it.
I'm not saying that they are really gay in that sense, but it's a huge bromance at least.

This show always reminded me of Winni the Pooh
Tove Jansson was actually approached by Walt Disney about that, but she wanted to be able to have a say on how her characters were portrayed. Honestly, if Disney got the rights, it would've likely been different from the source material, and strewn away from the themes that make people love it to this day, so I'm glad. Even if it means, as an American, I don't have as much access to Moomin media as other countries. I can't deny being curious of what Disney would've made of it, though.
@@ColoredMud That's a great comparison! When I was a child I viewed Moomins and Winnie The Pooh as some sort of pair. Like I watched both a lot, and they both had this really cozy vibe. (Only that Winnie The Pooh was 5x more chaotic! XD)

This is one of the many reasons why I adore this show.
It's really moments like these that really help complete a show so based around family and friends. They keep such a fantastical show at a more realistic tone that creates an extremely well rounded show about life's little experiences and adventures
