Needle man: A thin laser being his weakness seems like threading a needle to me... but I imagine Needles being magnetic would justify a swap. Magnet man: Electricity messes up magnets, as magnets are balancing both positive and negative charges, so spark shock would disrupt this balance. Gemini man: Even though both Gemini men take damage when hit, in universe Search snakes is apparently able to tell the difference between the holographic clones and the real Gemini man. Mega Man 3 is my favorite game of all time. It has a fun glitch you can exploit to get Rush Jet before beating Needle Man. After you beat Shadow Man, you simply go and highlight the Shadow Blade weapon, then press “right” on the D-pad. You will hear the cursor move, and it is now on the non existent Rush Jet. If you exit the menu, you will be red, but your weapon energy will be empty. If you pick up weapon energy, you can summon the Rush Jet. If you hop on and fly around for a little bit, it becomes permanently selectable! With some skill, you can start with Shadow Man and then have all 3 Rush forms before the next boss. One more trick. You can have a second controller plugged in or have one active in an emulator, and then have “right” on that D-pad pressed down, as you play the game. (As a kid, I would put a heavy book on the controller lol) Doing this lets you jump REALLY high. It also lets you fall into death pits. The best part is if you manage to take damage while in the pit, you can “die” down there, but not be dead. You will hear the death explosion sound, and the music stops, but you are still able to move around. You lose your ability to shoot normally, however, you can shoot all special weapons and even regular bullets as long as you can summon Rush and he has energy. You are nearly invincible. Only spikes can kill you in this state. However. If you pick up health, you can die again and would need to reset the fake death in a pit.
really interesting! they basically left a bunch of debug options in the final release😂I definitely have to play around with the super jumping in a future playthrough. thanks for the comment!
It would have blown my mind as a kid to have found out that this game was rushed and not fully completed. I totally see it now and wish that we could have experienced the game if it had more time. But as a kid it was one of my favorite games on the NES. I thought I was so cool that I could beat it and would show my friends all the time.
You can definitely see the incompleteness throughout the entire Wily Castle. The game feels pretty solid til then, but you get to the castle and suddenly its barren and empty. The entire castle is basically just a bunch of long empty corridors sprinkled with powerups leading to a few lackluster bosses.
Other good example of games not reaching their full potential because shitty publishers putting pressure on devs are Sonic 06 and Crash Twinsanity. Sonic 06 is full of bugs that it ruined Sonic's legacy forever and caused Sonic Team and Sega to become lazy because apparently this forced themselves to listen to impatient people. On Crash Twinsanity, there's bugs that you can skip levels with, missing sound effects, awkward animation and full on dedicated concept art section on unused stuff. Heck, see prototype videos and Crash was suppose to have a punch ability that went unused and there's suppose to be multiple paths for some levels. Full-blown mechanics, characters, story points and worlds went unused. Cortex saying "There were suppose to be more dimensions, but we ran out of time." makes more sense now that we learn Universal's shitty treatment to Traveler's Tales and especially with cashgrabby games like Crash Nitro Kart existing.
Loving your stuff! MM3 is my fave just for the music. Always enjoyed humorous, commentated, heavily cut down playthroughs of games but it's often done for newer releases. This sort of content for older games is awesome especially with your spin on it. The edits you made are for shadowman and guts man both killed me. And loved the neat bits of trivia like the airman song, which you still manage to use later for a joke. Keep it up!
I'm liking the channel lore being developed and to be here from basically the beginning (found the MegaMan 2 video randoy, thanks algorithm) is really cool! Never knew MegaMan 3 was supposed to be a Space Odyssey lmao
This is TREMENDOUS. Your editing, humor, and clear love for the series is so apparent that you can’t help to appreciate it. You going all the way through to 11?
Your animation skills are top notch and you're building slowly but surely: Looooooooooooooore! After some recognition, A wild Matpat will appear! Edit: also, the fact that you made fan-translation is really impressive cause not that many people do that.
Yea, about needle man, allegedly yes, we are stealing from aliens. I say allegedly because the huge cannons at the start are, according to their legacy collection gallery description, designed to defend space bases against aliens. (I haven’t read them in a while, but that’s what I remember). And if you ever get the chance, try top spin on the final phase of Gamma. It’s incredibly funny. Also, I really love these videos! They’re hilarious, and incredibly compact, fitting the entire game into a single one. I’m looking forward to more! Also subbed because I don’t want to miss the next one.
thank you very much for the kind words! welcome to the channel! yeah I just checked the mmlc database and you're 100% correct! crazy, it kind of seems like we colonized their planet and then reinforced it to prevent them from reclaiming their land😰.
I'm so happy to see your channel exploding in popularity! I love Mega Man stuff! Will you do a Mega Man X series when you finish with the Mega Man series? Please?
@@PowerGuygg YAY! I can't wait! :D Eeeeeeee, I know the X-8 armor can look like bubble wrap, but I'm so excited. Already subscribed, I'll be watching every video along the way~ ^_^
The graphical issue on the stage select screen is caused by a bug in the code that does the three way split screen transition effect. There is a typo and it references the wrong line there and causes that glitch.
This video was actually super entertaining, I used to watch vids like these a lot when I was a kid but I still got tons of enjoyment out of this. Great narration, humor, and pacing. Keep it up! :)

I was so excited to see this uploaded. I watched your first Mega Man video, then the 2nd, and I absolutely loved them. I was hyped to go back and watch your back catalog...which is when I realized that those were your only 2 videos. Disappointing, but really impressive that you're at this level of quality and entertainment for your very first videos. Can't wait to watch this one.
I love MM2 as the absolute best, but MM3 has a very special place in my heart, to the point it's more memorable for my than the rest of the NES Megamen (?). That intro music was just epic. Its soundtrack it's kickass and rivals MM2 very hard!
My favorite early access game ever. Would have been really cool to see what it would have been like with a few more months to develop, but I wouldn't change anything about it either. Hope you get that dog someday.
This is my favorite classic Megaman installment, because of how long it is, the weapons are also unique and it even brings back robot masters from Megaman 2!!! Great video and I hope you keep making more.
I just noticed the shelf behind Power Guy having Guts booty man and Flash Man: the world at the back and everytime he finishes a game he places another character, nice details!
17:13 Would have been four extra doc robot stages for the 6 megaman 1 robot masters and would have possibly been the actual debute of Time man and Oil man instead of Powered Up being Time man's and Oil Man's Debute?
I got Mega Man 3 for Christmas 1990. So many great memories of this game alongside it's issue of Nintendo Power. Thanks for such refreshing, entertaining content on a beloved franchise. Hoping to blow up to 100k subs and beyond in the next year.
Fun fact for Megaman 4 - Dustman was based on a contest submission sent to Capcom by a 12 year old named Yūsuke Murata who went on to work on One Punch Man
The plural of gemini man is gemini man Also bonus fun facts Hard man can softlock you if you shoot him while he falls to freeze the screen Hollow rock/ copy robot/ multi man melee can take damage as fast as you can deal it, hope your mashing skills are on point Gamma likewise has no invincible frames, and also takes damage as fast as you can deal it Shooting with a rush weapon equipped and then switching to another weapon while the pellets are still spawned in will make the pellets take on the property of whatever weapon you switched to (including not disappearing from hitting enemies if its top spin) abuse this is you see fit Good luck megaman!
Christ man how did you go from 30 subs to 7k in a matter of like 3 months But anyway i haven't touched Legacy collection in ages but you've inspired me to get back into it again and ive almost beaten 1 and 7 so far!
@@PowerGuygg You are the real MVP! Thank you so much! 🙏 I knew I saw that in my home feed and I liked it. I've been going crazy looking for it lol. Just had to go to community tab smh 🤦
When RUclips recommended me this video, I was skeptical that anyone had anything else interesting to do with Mega Man 3 here in the year 2022. Yet here I am, thoroughly entertained. Nice work! (Now to watch the other ones.)
Mega Man 2, 3, and 4 are my favorites! I have the Robot Master weaknesses so ingrained in my brain. I found myself yelling at my screen for you to use Needle Cannon on Snake Man and Shadow Blade on Spark Man, and then Top Spin on Gamma's final form. lol! But I really enjoyed watching you play the game for the first time and seeing/hearing your reactions.
You can also Top Spin Wily Gamma and end that fight very quick with one jump and use of top spin if done and timed perfectly, but everyone usually uses Snakes lol 😂. I can’t believe I figured that out as a 8 year old kid back in the day, the top spin that is.
Pretty excited to see where this channel goes! I like the mixed Media of the gameplay and short animation and pixel art. Keep it up and don’t let RUclips crush you dude!!
Basically when he goes to the right, his sprite doesn't damage you until the final piece of him gets put in, after wards you just jump and auto fire him with shadow blades. There's a video I can show you if you wanna see.
Your videos are some of the best Megaman content I’ve ever seen online. Hope you’ll continue through the mainline games and maybe some of the side games. Megaman & Bass is one of my personal favorites.
If you're playing on the NES on the player 2 controller hold down the "Right direction" and Mega man will jump high and won't die when he falls in holes... If you die while doing this you can take any amount of damage without dying... Do Not Collect health pellets...
OH! So Doc Flash Man is actually really interesting. In the international/english version of the game he is identical to the Mega Man 2 version (shoots 3 bullets per time stop). For some reason he's programmef wrong on the Japanese version and only shoots 1 which makes him way easier!

This was one of the few we didn't have when I was a kid, so to this day it has a certain mystique for me that whitewashes its flaws. It's the one I know least well, and the one I tend to go back to most often now when I need to feel that "fresh out of the box" video game feeling again from a retro title.
3:42 ok I did not expect THAT and I laughed so hard I paused and rewatched twice just to make sure I was seeing things right. You earn your sub immediately.
Protoman's whistle is STILL super cool to me. Both the music, and the idea of the cool loner guy always whistling.
The funny glitchy line on the stage select was left in the Legacy Collection because the devs wanted to preserve the game and remain authentic.
fun fact: it was fixed in the old anniversary collection

I love how in the shelf there are figures to reference the past vids
1. Guts Man ass
2. ZA WARUDO flash man
I'm liking the channel lore being developed and to be here from basically the beginning (found the MegaMan 2 video randoy, thanks algorithm) is really cool!
Never knew MegaMan 3 was supposed to be a Space Odyssey lmao
Also, surprised you didn't go for the top man weapon for the final boss, I didn't even know he was weak to snakes lmao
THIS CHANNEL IS WAY TOO UNDERRATED THIS CHANNEL DESERVES SO MUCH MORE.
Sorry for the CAPS
This is TREMENDOUS. Your editing, humor, and clear love for the series is so apparent that you can’t help to appreciate it. You going all the way through to 11?
thank you!! that means a lot 😊!
yes I will most likely be playing every main series game!
@@PowerGuygg how do you feel about playing Mega Man fan games after such as Mega Man Unlimited or Mega Man Rock force?
I like the storytelling of you in a console as a B-plot throughout these videos. Cool stuff
I love the visual of Megaman just dropping snakes on top of Dr. Wily
11:15
"Give it a short hop and we're on our way gOD DAMMIT!!"
Instant sub.
Your animation skills are top notch and you're building slowly but surely: Looooooooooooooore! After some recognition, A wild Matpat will appear!
Edit: also, the fact that you made fan-translation is really impressive cause not that many people do that.
thank you! the translation is actually by The Reploid Research Lavatory Blog. I forgot to credit them, i'll put it in the description😩
@@PowerGuygg Ohhhh I got it...Thanks ;)
@@PowerGuygg yeah, it’s pretty messed up. 😖
I'm so happy to see your channel exploding in popularity! I love Mega Man stuff! Will you do a Mega Man X series when you finish with the Mega Man series? Please?
thank you! and yes, definitely!
Keep it up! :)
I like your retrospective take on megaman 3. From your running gags to your neat jokes. I feel that your style of reviews are a welcome take to the genre. Keep up the good work.
Funny man with lore is my favorite genre of upincoming RUclipsrs! Keep this up and you'll be at 10k before you know it!
Looking forward to my third favorite classic Megaman game next time!
thank you for the support!
and mega man 4 was actually the first mega man game I ever played!👀... I wasn't any good at it of course, but I have fond memories 😂
Found your channel a couple weeks ago and have been absolutely loving your humor and editing. You're a joy to watch and it has been fun watching you go through classic mega man. Hope your channel continues to grow and get the recognition it deserves. Looking forward to your future uploads. ^w^
12:25 You're Dr. Light impression is hilarious! Love it!
I honestly love the commentary of your videos, keep up the great work 👍
Thank you! that means a lot 😊
11:52 Power Guy: And it's just your funding.
My favorite early access game ever. Would have been really cool to see what it would have been like with a few more months to develop, but I wouldn't change anything about it either. Hope you get that dog someday.
thank you! and yeah me too!
Awesome. I'm still enjoying this series FOR NOW!
Also, nice bit of Mega Moonwalking Michael Man at 16:09. Cool. :)
haha thank you! it's funny how they don't bother to turn megaman during that cutscene 😂
You can infact clear that jump in SnakeMan's stage with just a jump. Its a pretty precise one, but its doable.
i'm too much of a coward 😭
@@PowerGuygg I don't blame ya. 8-Bit Megaman games are infamous for their very precise and daunting jumps.
13:56 "Hey Joe, why don't you go and guard the little nook where nobody is gonna go?! Hoa huh hoit" - Geminilaser, 2009
17:13
Would have been four extra doc robot stages for the 6 megaman 1 robot masters and would have possibly been the actual debute of Time man and Oil man instead of Powered Up being Time man's and Oil Man's Debute?
I haven't read the comments, so I don't know if anyone has already said this, but gamma is also weak to topspin. Like, 1 hit takes him out.
I got Mega Man 3 for Christmas 1990. So many great memories of this game alongside it's issue of Nintendo Power. Thanks for such refreshing, entertaining content on a beloved franchise. Hoping to blow up to 100k subs and beyond in the next year.
12:54 this changed in MM: TWW. Apparently, if you get off the water in Wily Stage 1, Mega Man gets off Rush. And yes, I played that game.
Hey man, just wanted to let you know that gamma phase 2 can be killed by top spin, one shot! But this was still an amazing video!
The voice the editing the animations everything is just perfect! :D
always waiting for these my guy, also the video editing is getting better as well
thank you thank you! I appreciate that a lot. it feels like hard work is paying off 😊
@@PowerGuygg it is no worries dude, editing is a W
This channel feels like a quarantine alternate universe of geminilaser, highly recommend his channel if you haven’t watched it already
Another banger my dude! Really enjoying this Megaman series and hope you continue onto other retro style games after you complete it
thank you so much! I'll definitely play more retro games. I wanna play lots of games in general😁!
14:24 that rockman looks like puripuriman from ultimate muscle
Fun fact for Megaman 4 - Dustman was based on a contest submission sent to Capcom by a 12 year old named Yūsuke Murata who went on to work on One Punch Man
WAIT. NO FREAKIN' WAY!? that's so cool thank you for sharing that!
@@PowerGuygg He also created Crystal Man for Megaman 5
The plural of gemini man is gemini man
Also bonus fun facts
Hard man can softlock you if you shoot him while he falls to freeze the screen
Hollow rock/ copy robot/ multi man melee can take damage as fast as you can deal it, hope your mashing skills are on point
Gamma likewise has no invincible frames, and also takes damage as fast as you can deal it
Shooting with a rush weapon equipped and then switching to another weapon while the pellets are still spawned in will make the pellets take on the property of whatever weapon you switched to (including not disappearing from hitting enemies if its top spin) abuse this is you see fit
Good luck megaman!
Watching the 3 plays of Megaman so far is making me want to go back through them all again on the console collections, been a few years now.
Christ man how did you go from 30 subs to 7k in a matter of like 3 months
But anyway i haven't touched Legacy collection in ages but you've inspired me to get back into it again and ive almost beaten 1 and 7 so far!
nice!! I hope you can get through them all 😁
The quality of your videos is crazy for someone who only has 1k subs. This channel is going places. Love the content!
2:01
Mega Man: OH GOD HELP ME AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!
Tama/Bobcat: I hate mondays
dude i loved every bit of it. thanks you so much for your hard work you made my day. please dont burn yourself out.
Never thought I'd live to see a new vtuber talk about mega man stuff. I kinda like the style you're going with. Keep it up my dude
It would've been funny to see you joke about how Top Spin kills Gamma in like one hit.
Finally i found someone who appreciates megaman! Hope you expand your content and play megaman x.
Is there any way to watch the Mega Man dancing in front of Shadow Man by itself? Could watch that over and over lol. Great video. Really entertaining!
I have a GIF of it in the community tab on my channel if you scroll down a bit, and an mp4 over on twitter!!
2:52 the real top spin! btw you edit amazing
thank you!!
Top Spin could also be used to wreck Gamma part two. In fact it was the only way I ever beat him as a kid.
2:57 YO the best glitch ever!
"It's really a shame the Mega Man series is dead and gets no views/likes"
"HOLY CRAP ITS NOT DEAD"
Definitely the most creative and funny MM reviews on YT! Keep it up Guy!
thank you! that's very kind of you😊
Pretty excited to see where this channel goes! I like the mixed Media of the gameplay and short animation and pixel art. Keep it up and don’t let RUclips crush you dude!!
thank you! I really appreciate the support😁!
Another great one, keep this up and you're bound to get that dog, right????
Maybe a cat too. Really solid stuff, congrats on the 1K already wew lad
high quality content my brother! Super entertaining, keep up the great work
thanks bro😊!
I noticed that you put more exclamation marks on each video, can't wait until "I Have To Beat Mega Man 11!!!!!!!!!!!"
Using shadow blades on yellow devil is actually a speedrun tactic
Basically when he goes to the right, his sprite doesn't damage you until the final piece of him gets put in, after wards you just jump and auto fire him with shadow blades. There's a video I can show you if you wanna see.
ruclips.net/video/WRspTu4T0yk/видео.html
Your videos are some of the best Megaman content I’ve ever seen online. Hope you’ll continue through the mainline games and maybe some of the side games. Megaman & Bass is one of my personal favorites.
I'm happy I stumbled across this channel with the MegaMan 1 playthrough, I'm excited to see you go through MegaMan 4!
Yes! I've been waiting for an upload for Mega Man 3!
Another awesome vid! I'm glad you worked in the break dancing Mega gif 😄
Congratulations on beating mega man 3!
'Mega man 4 theme starts'
If you're playing on the NES on the player 2 controller hold down the "Right direction" and Mega man will jump high and won't die when he falls in holes... If you die while doing this you can take any amount of damage without dying... Do Not Collect health pellets...
I'm watching it late but I still enjoyed every second of it.
As always, the work you put in these is no short of spectacular.
OH! So Doc Flash Man is actually really interesting. In the international/english version of the game he is identical to the Mega Man 2 version (shoots 3 bullets per time stop). For some reason he's programmef wrong on the Japanese version and only shoots 1 which makes him way easier!
oh wow that's really interesting! thank you for sharing that with me😊!
2:03 or 2:04 PowerGuygg: What's in this room?
**PowerGuygg sees a single Met**
PowerGuygg: A single Met?
**The Single Met comes charging in at PowerGuygg**
PowerGuygg: OH GOD A SINGLE MET!
One of the most promising new channels I’ve seen yet. I can’t wait to see where you go
I'm impressed how your just starting and almost has 3000 subs
