    Did the same in january. 500€ Volvo V70 2.4 automatic with 370 000km. I don’t have a sunroof or heated seat but working cruise control & stereo controls on steering wheel ! Everything is working and no light on the dash ! Already changed the steering wheel for a s60 3 spoke one, all P2 steering wheel are interchangeable ! And yes enabling cruise control via VIDA is necessary, but it’s plus & play !

    Tailgate is made from plastic, so it would be werid to find rust there. :D
    Hood is aluminium.
    About door side panels i glued them usuing sealant, same as You can find in 2:43 under the paint. After 2 years it holds superb.

      Absolutly! As I got the car I wasnt aware about those details😅.
      I already glued one panel using glue gun for plastic. I will show this in one of the next videos.

    Very nice find, and a great project. I picked up a similar equipped V70 locally for $1500 (about the same in Euros I think). A few dings and scrapes, but near perfect interior, drives like new, and the only thing that doesn’t work is the ABS module.
    These are such wonderful bulletproof cars! You get a lot for the money.

    If you have to swap the headlights for original, the car is basically totalled but fortunately you don't have to.
    @0:27 140 horses with a stick would be more adequate.
    @3:37 If you need that sound to feel save on board, you should attend a safety training instead.

    This is true story. I actually hurted badly my leg when I accidentally hit it to Volvo's door.

    Was that rust under the bonnet, behind the engine?

    • @DIYTEA
      @DIYTEA  Год назад +1

      No, the car ist 99% free from rust. That was the noise insulation which is damaged
