What a wonderful, informative video! Thank you so much. I have this disease and it’s horrible. I feel so sick everyday of my life. Im going to a hepatologist in April to discuss a transplant so this info has really helped me. I know the chances of a deceased liver donor is slim but I don’t think I could ask anyone to be a living donor to help me. I couldn’t have someone go through that and suffer like that for me.
Hi Deann thank you for your comment. We know many recipients are concerned about the health of living donors. The transplant team takes donor safety very seriously and only those for whom the procedure is very low risk are approved for living donation. We often hear from donors that this is something they want to do and have no regrets about their decision. We offer webinars on living liver donation, how to find a donor and supports available that may be helpful. Visit www.givelifeuhn.eventbrite.ca for more info.
Hi Niten we encourage your mom to speak with her care team. They would be able to provide the best advice because they know her and are familiar with her medical situation.
Primary billiary cholangitis causes intense itching on palms and foot sole. There is no medicine for the same. We tried something I.e mixing raw mashed turmeric with mustard oil and heated when applied at the point of itch or bruise gives some relief . Please share it with those suffering
