Timely review as always! I was looking at this given the buzz that its been getting across the indie gaming world. I am not a megaman fanboy but obviously aware of it. I wondered how it played - now I know. Looks like a great option for my steam deck. Thanks for the vid!
this game is incredible to be honest, always been a HUGE megaman fan, and especialy the x4 zero gameplay, and as in 20xx the ace gameplay was kinda lackluster in term of "zero from x4 lookalike" and never played as nina but pretty sure they had the same powers, in 30xx both characters have their own specific powers weapons and a pool of personalized augment, like an augment that give power chains damage boost to make you go ham on combo, you realy have a zero from x4 like gameplay to ace, going auta attack to stack one augment that boost your next power into a combo chain with boosted damage to finish off your big burst power (my personal favorite is mine into whip into shoryuken into ryusei into boosted lightning power, killer combo here) the fact that builds are also way more diverse here, mostly because instead of a single armor where you had to swap pieces for another in 20xx, you can pick everything if you have enough core points, the add of resonator armors is also a great improvement (basicly its "THE armor, they are pieces of armor that boost a specifik part for all other ones, like arm resonator boost every aspect of every other arm cores, its kinda great for building OP shit) like whether its the roguelike element, the gameplay elements, the ost, the fact that in 20xx you had 3 type of stage shared by bosses where here yhey all have their actuel own stage and ost, the zero series vibe for the story (boy, the ending boss and his ost, doing it with minimalistique chalenge, no core and no busted build is a FEEL) this game is great, never had the motivation to start doing youtube video's, but i might start jjust to talk more about this game here.
Seems like a fun game. Thanks for the review. I'm definitely considering getting it. Also, coop? 👀 That could be fun. My sister and I have played shovel knight coop, so this would probably also be really fun to play together!
is the name "30xx" supposed to mean the game takes place in that general year time frame? If so, does the game setting actually look like it is 1000 years more evolved than the previous game, 20xx?
Great review, as always you hit all the points and give a good overview without spoiling the entire game.

Yes. It takes place 1000 years later
Better than mega man x anyway
