  • Seattle Public Schools, the largest school district in the state, is suing major social media companies behind TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, RUclips, and Snapchat over their impact on youth mental health.
Attorneys said Seattle Public Schools (SPS) may be the first district in the country to sue social media companies. The 92-page lawsuit claims the social media giants violated Washington’s public nuisance law and intentionally contributed to the youth mental health crisis in the state.

It occurs to me that there is a simple remedy that one could utilize to avoid disturbing Contant on social media
It’s real simple do not engage or at the very least when you come across disturbing and upsetting content, turn it off, and if that doesn’t help, then, perhaps professional assistance may be necessary, addressing a social media addiction, even that of which is harmful signs of an addiction
It is a parents responsibility to keep their children safe, and sometimes that means saying no, and having your word understood by the children that it is in their best interest to do so
Set a lawsuit looks like shirking, parental accountability and flailing around for anyone and everybody but oneself and one’s family to blame
Suggestion look outside of yourself, absorbed existence and engage in reality and in doing so you will be informed that many children on this planet they’re living a reality that one with Dean deplorable and unlivable
If you’re seeking a oh cause and a lawsuit to pursue try, suing the United States government
The policies and practices of the United States manufacture the environment of poverty
The lack of having a codified living wage in, and that of a universal basic income has done and continues to do more harm to children than any social media site and the contents there in
The money spent on this lawsuit could assist the teachers and your children’s schools providing them with the classroom materials, of which they now spend their own money to equip their classrooms and the Much-needed teachers touch to educate your children
Absent that effort, then one could simply replace smart phones with dumb phones and your children to use a family computer and that would not be in there bedrooms
I direct your attention to Washington DC and the shenanigans and antics of the elected representatives. Yes, I’m speaking of Congress.
They take no responsibility for their behavior. They are blatant liars and blame anyone and everything instead of recognizing that they themselves are a detriment to this American experiment of democracy.
And now you wish to engage in a frivolous lawsuit, and occupying the courts in a in the pursuit to bring about a legal remedy that is well within your hands to do without the assistance of legal action
This looks a little like lazy parenting
Much like over indulging children is harmful lawsuits of this kind do not address what is at the root of the issue
Parenting in the 21st-century is an arduous task at the very least children are inundated with way too much information that they are not mature enough and mentally sophisticated to handle. This is understood.
Pursuing a lifestyle and parenting in the 21st-century and compatible parents, ultimately become the provider of consumer goods. Children are absent, the effort taken to attain the consumer items they so desire, and without them, their life is unbearable. This, too is understood.
Persistent, attentive, parental participation will go along way in setting the values of which you want to imprint upon your children and be the positive and productive citizens contributing to the shared experience, we call life

I disagree w/these actions bc replacing common sense & personal responsibility w/laws & regulations chips away at our freedoms. It's like outlawing offensiveness, when instead there s/b incentives for making rational, reasonable, personal choices. Instead of banning things, how bout educating parents about the dangers of social media? These children don't belong to the school system - they have parents, & this is yet another move to obscure parental rights, & usurp their authority over their own children. We are ADULTS, & don't need a paternalistic nanny state to make our personal decisions! If the govt treats adults like children, & that's the expectation of parents, then they'll just double down until we have no parental rights!l at all! The most prudent decision is to educate your kids at home, no matter what it takes - figure it out & do it! Make w/e decisions necessary, such as downsizing, joining forces w/other parents, etc. The govt will treat us as we allow them to!

RUclips works on subscribers and views. So if your channel is making over $100k a year then you are doing pretty good. No one knows how long this social media train will last so if you are not near retirement age or have enough money saved up, I hope everyone in this business has a backup plan if this platform ever fails.
