2020 VolkswagenTiguan Overhead Console Replacement

My 2020 VW Tiguan has only 54,000 miles on it and the overhead console lock failed all of a sudden without even touching it. VW dealership said this has happened a lot due to the plastic brittleness problem, however, refused to replace it for me free of charge. So, I decided to replace it myself and share the video here!

Yes, unfortunately it is common, and looks to be the material issue. I purchased it at my local VW dealership. You could also check it online and see if your local dealership has it in stock. It will save you a good shipping cost. Here is their webpage: www.parts.vw.com

go to ur dealership its cost me 30$ to buy a new one and its easy to change only 4 screws
