- I landed my first Project Management role after my first interview.
During the interview with the CEO/Project Director, I remember vividly a question he asked: "What's a project's triple constraint?"
Few months ago, I studied Project Management terminologies and concepts! Jackpot.
Immediately, I responded: "scope, schedule, and cost!"
That was it! I landed my first PM role.
Knowing the PM terms and concepts is very crucial as it will help you speak like a PM and talk about your project work using the right terms. Also, you will be recognized as a Project Professional rather than a novice.
In this video, I share ten (10) terminologies and concepts you should know that will help you during your job search and interview process to land a Project Management job.

Found you yesterday. I just got a freelance position as a PM and I find your explanations really consumable. I have followed you on several devices. You are really providing value and I feel so much more knowledgeable from just watching a few videos. I am going to try to go through them all and rinse and repeat because I start next week! I wanted to add that I have been winging it because I naturally know how to lead projects, but I want to be professionalized and you are a Godsend. Thanks. Mo
I watched your video back to back. I will still continue to watch it even after securing my role.

Been wanting to start a career in project management but couldn't seem to find the right videos and courses. I couldn't even understand from the videos and write-ups I'd read in the past what project management really is about in terms of whether there are niches to focus on or what kinds of projects exactly that a project manager is required to manage. Thankfully, I stumbled on one your videos some days ago and I've been glued to your channel ever since. Your delivery is plain and simple to understand. Thank you for the insights I
now have about project management so far.
Thank you @Coach for this wonderful content.Highly insightful
you're welcome. Thanks for engaging.

Hi Ogaga, thank you for this video. You have given me the encouragement that I need to energize me for this career path. I am new at PM and this is a new journey for me. I am taking the PMP course now.
Thank you Ogaga for this detailed teaching. I never knew that documenting lessons learned is an important aspect of project management. I often document lessons learned from any venture I undertake which helps me improve on the next. My question is about the project lifecycle. You explained initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and finally closing stage. What happens to the last stage which is the delivery stage? Is it embedded in the execution stage?
You're welcome. Yes, it's very important though overlooked sometimes. Delivery isn't one of the 5 stages of the Project Management Life-cycle.
Your energy is 💯 contagious. Thanks for the good work.
This was awesome and very helpful! :)
I'm so glad!
Thank you very much. This was exactly what I have been searching for . Well understood.

OMG !😩 i WANT TO BE YOUR STUDENT......Articulated teaching👌❤❤💯
Hi Ogaga, This is Imran from Pakistan. you can count me as one of those who very frequently follow your videos. I have a small suggestion for you and is that your style of briefing about topics is very good but I think it can create trouble to understand for nonnative listeners. So, this is my two cents I hope this will give more value to your videos :)
Thank you Ogaga, actually this is much useful content & exactly what I was looking for! Best of success to your career

Amazing run through for beginners. Very clear. WBS would of been another one to add.
PMs use so many tools, can you share a video on the tools you use for timelines , etc. thanks !!
WBS = work breakdown structure right?
@@MaryFlavour-eb6ly yup, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is a project management tool that takes a step-by-step approach to complete large projects with several moving pieces.
@@italiangspot wow !!! I can see you're a senior PM from the use of your diction. I am a beginner, just finished my Project Management course, will have to sit in for certification in a few months ahead.
@@MaryFlavour-eb6ly which course and certification test you taking ?

Hi, you mentioned something about room size being adjusted and I believe you called it scope ensuite!? I don't believe I heard your pronunciation correctly. Could you confirm please?
Very interesting
What can be a positive risk
For example, if you're working on a clean/green initiative, a positive risk could be the possibility of securing a subsidy to pay for project resources.
Positive risks are opportunities that could occur and positively impact the project, while negative risks are threats that could occur and negatively impact the project
Glued
As a PM do we need to learn to code and do we need data analysis skills like creating a dashboard
Depends on the specific job
