- We visited Catania, Milazzo, Lipari, Stromboli and Syracuse, it was such an incredible trip! I hope I've conveyed just how beautiful Sicily was in this video. Below i've included hotels we stayed at, restaurants we loved and cafes that serve the greatest Cannoli.

I'm going to Sicily next month and it was really nice to see a video of a fellow hiker. Most people just present the beautiful cities and maybe Mount Etna so it was very helpful seeing some exploring which I can do with my friends while we are there :)

Excellent vlog, Italy is amazing! I have seen many vlogs and almost all of them are so fast, you don't understand or don't see nothing. This is my honest advice, if you have many recorded videos I think you should make more vlogs, I think people love will them. Your video deserves much more views, it's very good, you clearly know how to make a vlog, liked and asking for more :)

My father worked in several African countries and I have had a chance to be there :) a few years ago I went to Brazil and it was awesome because I planned everything, so instead wasting a lot of money in hotels I only paid the ticket plane and the rest was negotiated there without any issues, I stayed in some very friendly places, the people were very kind and I think I have more than 1.000 pictures, I will make a video as soon as I can because it was amazing, 2.000 kilometers traveling , incredible isolated beaches, good food, it was 3 weeks of paradise :)

Hi, I was courious to watch your video, i know very well these places :-), next time if you will come in the area of Syracuse you hace to go to Pantalica since you like have a swim in the river. Pantalica is an amazing mix of nature and archeology. Great video, ciao ciao

I commented on your other video you should see some of these places, and apparently you already had! So ooops! Spectacular as the was the other vid. My next trip, I'm going to have to do more advance planning, so I can squeeze in some more lengthy stays at some of these places, rather than the day trips I've been doing. My trips are a combination of part travel/exploration, part visiting family (a large part, actually), and part geological research (visiting dead family, so to speak!)
And btw, a slightly belated happy 32nd birthday!

Hey Norbert! Thanks for leaving a comment and your feedback :) It was a great trip! Yup, a lot of the 'b-roll footage' is shot on a GoPro Hero 7 with a gimble from Hohem that's really cheap but actually pretty good.

Norbert you’re welcome mate! The gimbal makes a huge difference and you can control it from your phone and set up panning time lapses and lots more. I look forward to seeing the hiking videos, and thanks for the birthday wishes 😊
Too bad you didn't present us that food and some extraordinary beaches...
We did eat some delicious foods, although only visited a few beaches, unfortunately it was a short trip. Sicily deserves at least two weeks and we just had one.
from where did you bought the ferry tickets from millazo to lipari? online I can find only verry expensive like 62 euro round trip.
We bought them at the port ticket office, on the day.

If the summit was closed why pay 65 Euros to go up there!?…..duh.
If you travel through sicily you really have to blind yourself to problems like pollution (junk everywhere, even in the national parks) and bad patriachial structures. There are so many murders of wifes etc. You can read about that. For me I will go back - but there were many many things that were simply not ok.
Even Italians from other regions say that about Sicily.
