Book looks great. Can't wait to read and use it. My first season I did and read everything bees and took a chance on a non ventilated hive setup through winter. When most in my area run ventilated hives. I took all 5 colonies through winter and thrived in spring. Gave me shot of confidence although I had lost a couple through the season. #BeekeepingBlueprint

Congratulations on your book launch Jason! This is my third year of beekeeping. Each year has been a learning experience. Best part for me has been that I took over my 85 year old Dad's beekeeping hobby and he is still with us to enjoy seeing me take care of the hives! I'm even teaching things he didn't know! Best of luck with your book! I downloaded a copy and plan to review on Amazon! Thanks for all your help. #BeekeepingBlueprint

My favorite moment that I have experienced in beekeeping was opening a hive for the first time. It was amazing to see all these beautiful creatures working together to build, create, and work in unison. It was just a magical experience. Good luck with the book and thank you so much for all the tips you have provided throughout this experience. #BeekingBlueprint

Congratulations on your book. I'm reading the ebook but I'll buy the paperback. My experience with bees began when one of my brothers text me to ask if I had my swarm traps set. I had no idea what he meant. Bees are my therapy. I'm 4 years with bees, but last year i lost 2 out of 3 hives due to mites. That was the best teachings I learned. Now the one hive is now 5 this year. Another brother who entered my life raised bees and he is a queen maker. I'm sorry for your loss of your brother. I have 6 brothers all younger. I love them dearly. Continued success Jason. 🌻🐝

Worst beekeeping moment: working bees without boots and getting 12+ stings to my ankles when taking a deep brood box off and setting it down too hard next to my feet because it was much heavier than anticipated. #BeekeepingBlueprint

My best beekeeping experience was my first year. I ordered two Nucs I got into catching swarms and ended up catching seven swarms on my own property before I even got my two Nucs And I was able to keep them all through the second year. My worst Beekeeping experience was my third year when I lost all but three hives but I managed to do enough splitting to get my numbers back up. I really just don’t see me ever not having honeybees and I am very much looking forward to reading the book. I haven’t had time yet but I Will. #BeekeepingBlueprint

Great book Jason! I love the science of bee keeping - there are just so many lessons to be taught: from geometry to social lessons to caring for livestock. My worst experience was my son was helping me to move a hive on a 30 degree November day, we tripped and dropped the hive - alas we were not wearing bee suits. His face swelled up so much that I had to call him out of school the next day… oops. ❤️🐝🐝 in Northern IL #BeeKeepingBlueprint

Jason new beekeeper here. Probably my best experience so far was when i got my first nucs in April. One had gotten close to swarming just before i got it so they added a second box which meant more bees for me. When installing the second i noticed three queen cells. My mentor agreed that they were queen cells and we split it.. Viola three hives for the price of two. #BeekeepingBlueprint.

I caught a swarm 3 years back. Landed in my front yard right in front of me and my wife. It was so special. It was magical seeing that many bees flying together. They just started to gather on the tree about 15 ft up. I knew nothing about bees but I was able to stand on the truck and rake them off the branch into a bucket using a paint pole. It was wild I had no smoker no veil no experience but had caught the swarm. Needless to say I was clueless. I built my own version of what I now know is a top bar hive.
I lost those bees that winter. Didn’t get a bit of honey and struggled to build a decent colony all season.
I decide the next spring I would dive deep into learning what I could do to be successful. I joined my local club and have this year restarted my journey after 2 seasons of reading and watching and learning.
Now I am having a blast. Amazing what a bit of prep can do. #BeekeepingBlueprint

Congratulations on the book release! Being my second year keeping bees, my favorite "moment" was extracting honey for the first time. I was told not to expect any honey the first year. Well, after adding a sixth super to all three new hives, it became very apparent that I was definitely going to have a honey harvest. In total, I was able to harvest 27 gal from three hives, all being nucs with and no drawen comb. That was my first year, I successfully split all hives earlier this year and am hopeful that this year is also a good year. I've learned a lot from you and a few other youtube channels, so thank you! #beekeepingblueprint

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. I’ve learned a lot the past couple of months from your videos.
I’ve been wanting to get in to beekeeping as we have a few acres with a bunch of fruit trees and berries. We also grow a lot of veggies every year. This past winter, I was watching a beekeeping video and my youngest son got really excited about the possibility of raising bees. He seems to be really serious about it. So, with the help of my son we are finally going to try our hand at raising bees on our little Homestead.
Great job on the book! In my review, I made sure to point out how excellent and technical the illustrations were. Very nicely done.

Good thing I did, because I ordered my first 2 hives in December 2019, and then the dreaded Big "C" happened and everything shut down. I was 100% all alone with my lovely new hives. My brother and I started watching videos & reading books about honey bees back in 2004. We wanted to have hives of our own, but unfortunately there is an ordinance that prohibits bee hives inside the city limits. We continued watching videos and reading books, while trying to get the city to grant us an exception. On April 14, 2018, my brother suffered a cardiac arrest that ended his life at 40... I was 39... He was my best friend, and I gave up on our beekeeping dream afterthat. It wasn't the same without him, and I didn't have much fight left after losing my best friend. Saturday at the Farmer's Market, I met a woman who has bees and invited me to her apiary! Talk about the best beekeeping experience! Can't wait to go!

My worst experience was mowing too close to my meanest hive with my tractor and brush hog. They were all over me and chased me across 4 acres and stayed on me even when I got in my home. I bailed off the tractor and left it running and lost my glasses slapping them off my face. I’m in Texas and think that hive has some Africanized genetics. One of the guards will sometimes sting you when you get near them. That’s my oldest surviving hive. My best experience is rescuing bees that would otherwise be killed. All my hives are from rescues I do. #BeekeepingBlueprint

Loving the book I wish I would have had it when I got my first hive. I went into it blind not knowing anything. I started with one hive. Best time was when I went out and collected a swarm and moved them into the hive I bought. Yes I didn't do anything right. I got stung up all the time. I didn't get honey from it and they didn't make it through winter. The worst time was when I realized it was my fault. I sold my bee stuff when I moved years ago and glad I did. That was over ten years ago. Been Watching you and some others now for years. Looking forward to trying it again. My most “exciting” event in my beekeeping was about 8 years ago and about 8 years in my bee keeping journey. At that time I had 35 or 40 hives. I was mowing around them with a big zero turn mower and it zigged when I wanted it to zag and a row of 15 hives were all tossed on the ground. Never having had an issue with hostility while mowing I wasn’t wearing any protective gear. I can assure that a 25 HP Kawasaki powered mower will NOT out run 15 hives worth of pissed off bees. They ate me up.
Back to the house and pulled out my never used full suit and went back to reassemble the hives.

What draws me to honeybees - I’ve always had a fascination with honeybees even as a youngster. However, it wasn’t till about 20 years ago when I purchased my first Italian package bees. As a disabled veteran they accomplished what the doctors or medicines couldn’t. If I thought of anything other than those bees - they lit me up. Slowly I learned how not to get lit up. So I tell everyone that honeybees saved my life. Cause they truly did.
Worst experience - moving to civilization and having 100% bee loss for 3 years.
Best experience - having a swarm move into one my hives yesterday or the day before.
Funniest - watching me do a happy dance in the middle of the yard after confirming the swarm moved in.
Thanks and Congrats on your book - can’t wait to read.

My best experience with my bees has to be from a few weeks ago. After a couple of years of losing swarm after swarm( because of being too high in trees to reach) I was coming home from church and received a text message and a picture of a swarm. I was heartbroken to lose another one. I got home and my husband told me it was reachable by a ladder. I'm a little bit squeamish when it comes to heights. But I climbed up that ladder and got those bees. Best day I've had in 2 years of beekeeping. I have been watching your videos since I started beekeeping. I appreciate all the great info. I have gone through the Kindle version of your book and it is fantastic. I have about 10 different beekeeping books and by far this one is packed full of information that I haven't seen in others. I did not open my hive for a couple weeks due to bad weather and started to notice the diminishing numbers leaving and returning. When the rains stopped I thought it would get busier and it didn't. Opened her up only to find a whole colony of Carpenter Ants moved in a decimated the hive. I found the queen on the bottom board beheaded and all of her force dead beside her. There had to be thousand ants inside with many eggs. May have been three weeks but that was the absolute worst experience I have had. Almost made me stop. Never. As a young girl I remember my grandfather having bees but I was not that interested then…oh how I wish I would have learned from him then! Now as a 26 year biology/zoology teacher my favorite thing to teach is the animals and especially the insects! I remember the first time I watched the waggle dance and I fell in love. I have wanted bees for a while but just haven’t taken the plunge. Just alto weeks ago my aunt found a colony in an old shed and I begged her to wait and let me try to get them. So they are successfully in the hive now but now I need help. Your book is exactly what I’m looking for! Thanks!

My worst experience was losing hives over the first couple winters… Best experience was finally learning how to over winter bees in New Hampshire!! Second best was seeing bees at first swarm trap! #beekeepingblueprint

Congratulations on your book, best experience was and still is simply just being a beekeeper, worst experience was my second year, went into winter with 4 colonies thinking that I had it all figured out. Then came spring and all 4 died, it was heart breaking. It was a learning experience, 6 years later i now keep on average between 10 to 15 with a few winter losses. #BeekeepingBlueprint

Jason. Looking forward to getting your book. Always good to learn more about the bees. One of my most recent experiences in beekeeping is collecting a huge swarm last week by cutting out of Bush

Congratulation on your lunch Jason. So far your book is great. Thanks for all your time.
Best Beekeeping moment so far. Virgin Queen walking out of her cell into my hand. Worst Beekeeping moment so far. Moving a hive after dark and they lite me up.

Best experience was catching 3 swarms right next to each other. Worst experience was removing honey supers after father-in-law put the bee escape upside down and I hadn't felt the need to suit up just to pull honey supers. Took the lid off to be met with 2 supers crammed full of angry bees. Suffice to say they explained their displeasure to me....

Oh boy, I can see them being angry. Holy smokes!! Never heard of this happening until now but I can see how it would. Wow!!

First time I installed a package the queen cage fwas poorly hung by me so it fell to the floor and the bees didn’t keep it warm and the queen failed , all my fault live and learn. I love learning about the biology of these fascinating super organisms. #BeekeepingBlueprint
