My experience: If you try to strap it down tight, the stitching comes apart. When you are ready to take it out, it can be a struggle. I replaced it with a drake fire extinguisher mount. It comes in two parts, both steel. One straps to the fire extinguisher with metal bands, the other can either be bolted on or strapped to the roll cage, again with metal bands. The two pieces lock together with a large red knob that you pull to release the extinguisher. Releasing/replacing can be done in seconds, and it is sturdier.
JKU's rbetter I bought their molle seat covers, and the seams split on them quickly as well. I plan to shy away from anything they make that is cloth. And, no, TJs are better...

I have had the same problem with this product. Love Rugged Ridge stuff but this is junk. Spend more for something better.

What's the difference between this one and the elite, other than $20.
What kind of type of fire extinguisher do you recommend? Powder or other types?
if it takes longer to grab the extinguisher than off the mount that comes with it for free then its not an upgrade.

I guess that if you mount it in the same location, but under the sport bar, instead of over, it should be ok.
