Great to see you! Well done video. For my electronics I have a Bobby Hero Anti-Theft Backpack and a stainless steel cable with two loops plus a good combination lock. Good for airports and also to lock the bag to the bed frame for security when we're away from the house. We've also used it for locking up scooters, etc. Easy to see you're Experienced Packers!

      Hi Gail!
      Nice to be seen! Haha
We appreciate the positive feedback on the video we put together for how we pack and as always we have learned some great tips from you, our viewer!
Thank you for the great tip on using a cable with a combination lock, especially for locking it to the bed frame or something permanent in your home while away from the house or sleeping at night. We hadn't thought about that. Very clever, especially with all the electronics!
And we love the anti-theft backpack idea, hadn't heard of it till now.
We appreciate the ideas and are happy you watched.

Yes, and it all fits inside somehow.

@@FocusedFighter777 It certainly does! Every year we pack almost the same items....down to a science. And we fit in a lot of "extras" hey!? (workout bands, yoga mat, snorkel gear, etc)
Each checked bag is at the 50lb limit. We are looking to try to reduce that too one day!

I needed to have watched this 10 years ago! I have been overpacking for every one of my winters out of the country. Last year was the WORST in terms of everything we brought and either didn't or minimally used.

      Oh seriously Vic?
My goodness....and we GET it. We always want those things that are "handy" but not necessary also!
We left behind a huge pile of laundered clothes for the last landlady that we had and that helped the packing at least on the way back to Canada. We hope to exercise more discipline when we travel again abroad next November!
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment, love it!
Hope to reconnect one day around the globe again with you and Dick! 🥰

      Sure Vic!
When we know we can let you and Dick know.
Do you have a few places on your bucket list?

@@PlanFree We seem to be stuck in Mexico....but there are SO many places to visit there. We think about Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia (big bucket item). Croatia looks beautiful too as do the Greek Isles. This girl has so many places to want to go!

@@queenvldg we get it and there's not a lot wrong with Mexico for sure.
It's interesting the other countries you list....we are actually contemplating Vietnam Cambodia and a few other places over there... perhaps for next winter!

Best advice, don't buy books overseas....

    • @PlanFree
      @PlanFree  11 месяцев назад +1

Truth! All purchased books must be read and then passed along! That's a lot of extra weight in the luggage!
....did you learn this after an experience?
We were once givien the most incredible Hummingbirds of Ecuador book while living in Ecuador....THAT is the only exception. That beautiful book will be cherished for ever!
Thanks for watching and for your comment Penny!
