I have Lg pf1500 model for around 5 months and very happy with this. Project on light beige wall and still can enjoy crisp sharp and vibrant image. This bad boy has 1500 lumens and pretty good enough for moderate lit room. Rated 30000 hrs led life which is more than lifespan of this laser projector.
You may have never noticed me or any of my content but I have always been in awe of yours. Right now I'm just a kid with a dream to start a tech RUclips channel and throughout your videos you've shown me that it's possible to be a professional with a smartphone. So thanks, I look forward to seeing much more from you. (P.S. Danny Widget sent me on this mission 👍)
Looks great, nice review as always man, totally wonderful device also. I think it will be interesting to watch the video of your selection for your in house movie theatre.
if it's a laser projector, why does it have a focus knob? that shouldn't be necessary. edit: I thought so. right on LG's product page, it's a DLP projector, not laser. the DLP logo is right on the side of the thing, also.
Projector Central measured this at only 1089 lumens and the 2000 number only exists due to the idea that the perception of laser light is brighter than bulb light. Would you happen to have another 2000 lumen projector to compare it with?
+blasko229 it's not super bright that's for sure. As I stated it would work best in a darker room. I only have a 1000 lumen projector to compare it with and it's much brighter than that.
+Danny Winget Can you review the $42 DeepLee A1 DP300 Mini LED Projector? www.amazon.com/dp/B01EOXLC5K/ref=asc_df_B01EOXLC5K5117811/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=395033&creativeASIN=B01EOXLC5K&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167140037427&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1735512019887149674&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9005394&hvtargid=pla-338127625124
great material. But I still do not know what to choose. LG PROBEAM, SONY VPL HW45 ES or BENQ TK800. Which one is best for Netflix 4k, PS4, Bluray FHD? Help me please.
Looking into getting this, Is it possible to roof mount this projector and do you also know of some good alternatives for overall use in a room whether the blinds are up or the room is completely dark. *Thank you for this informative review! :D*
Would love to see a xbox/ps4 video with this thing with your opinions. Vs say a regular tv. Any rainbow issues, I remember that was a problem with led/bulb dlp.
If this were a UST (ultra short throw) like the china only xiaomi laser projector, then I'd buy it. Theirs is 5000 lumens, short throw, for only $1500. Any info on that projector?
Great review I have another question for you a year ago you did a video on UO Smart beam projector and I noticed your dog on the sofa its a twin of our dog do you know the breed thanks!
laser projector sound cool however i would like to know what is the daylight capability 200 lumen is nothing in today projector so i don't understand what the laser really stand for (image quality was great i admite)
Hi, could you tell me what camera and settings (framerate / shutter etc) you used to film the projected image? I'm asking because I had lots of flickering issues using a Sony A7s II and a picobit laser projector. Thanks! :)
This projector looks awesome! Does it come with a lens cover for when you take it on the go? Can't wait to see the price and be like "I'll never be able to afford this" lmao i look forward to seeing the theatre setup :)
+Toamastar15 what's awesome is they have a smaller and more affordable one coming up next month. I will be covering that too and it could be perfect for people looking for a smaller price tag.
I have the same exact projector, however the only problem I have is getting the focus uniformed throughout the whole screen. Either it will be sharp on the left side or sharp on the right side. If I try to focus for the middle, the sides are blurry. Did you happen to see this on your projector?
yeah, makes sense. Good projector screens are expensive though. If you want to save money, build a frame out of wood and buy projector cloth separately, then attach it with an industrial stapler.
It's grossly overpriced. There are MUCH better options on the market for half the price (no I'm not going to list them, easily found online). The main issue I found with LG projectors is inaccurate color reproduction. I had the Mini beam nano (PH150G), and no matter how long I spent in the menu trying to adjust the colors, brightness, contrast, etc.. I couldn't get a decent color output, which was very distracting while watching movies. For video games, it was adequate, though a relatively slow refresh rate. I could see the same issues with the colors in this video (reds especially).
+Tick Tock Reds were probably a little weird due to the color correction I had to put on the footage. Half the price will NOT get you a laser projector. Also the straight line design of the projector itself working off a single mirror is different here too. Video games will never work super well with most projectors but on game mode it plays well. The footage I had there was not on game mode. This projector is in a totally different class than the mini beam nano. The refresh is coming next month.
True, laser projectors capable of 1080p are still quite expensive, and this one definitely falls into the lower end of the spectrum price-wise. I suppose it's a little difficult to ascertain color reproduction from a video of a projection, while viewed on a laptop. Probably best to reserve judgement until actually seen in person.

+Matt21169 thanks for following through on that challenge. Appreciate it!
I can't wait to try this on my Black Diamond screen! It will be a nice upgrade from my LG PA77U led model. Thanks for the great review!!
The Picture and a colours look very good on the wall! I have a impression like I am watching a TV.
Nice video and yes, share with as pls.
Seriously I was waiting for someone to do a full review for it and with you I found lot of helpful information thank you so much I wish you the best
+Smart World thank you!
Yes, make a video about the progress on your home theater system! Lookin forward to your tips. Great video!
what is the difference between LEDs and Laser projector?
For wireless cast from iPhone, an Apple TV can also be connected to the projector.
Great video. Love my LG pf1500 in my HT room. Shared it with my Home Theater group i run on Facebook too. Love to see what you do with you HT room.
Looks great, nice review as always man, totally wonderful device also.
I think it will be interesting to watch the video of your selection for your in house movie theatre.
Yeah, do document your home theater room build. So jealous!
Yes!! Please show us your theater room step by step. ☺
You should check out the Xgimi H1 projector.
This seems like it would awesome for outdoor use during the summer. I just wonder how dark it would have to be for it to work outdoors?
Felicitaciones por la apertura..
Cool! That's an awesome small projector!
if it's a laser projector, why does it have a focus knob? that shouldn't be necessary.

Sarreq Teryx you are very smart bud. Go back to the website and read where it clearly says Laser lamp display.
It is a laser light source, firing into a phosphor. So, it *is* a laser projector, just not a direct lasing product.
I think the link is broken for the more information on the projector
It's $1500.
You're welcome.
its 799 now! :P
@@JasonKatt WHERE?
That shirt is dope, awesome video Danny!
+Tomas Villegas thanks Bro!

This is a must share for techies
I went to the website thinking "The price can't be that high." Well let's just say when I saw the price I was wrong...
+OpTic KTG Yeah it is a Pro Level Laser Projector. Traditional bulb projectors are much cheaper.
"Pro level". Ok, so this projector is for "professionals". LED projectors are also much cheaper; there's no point referencing bulb projectors in 2017.
LEDs are on the same level as Laser Projectors?

Hi is it a short throw projector? What is the throw distance?
please document it..... you're a pro danny
Great review, looks awesome 👍 oh and good nod to Ash Tailor's OP5 review 👊
Great review!! What's the smallest size it can go to, it was a 57" wall I was thinking of projecting onto
Have you perhaps put this up against the Xjimi h1?
Looking into getting this, Is it possible to roof mount this projector and do you also know of some good alternatives for overall use in a room whether the blinds are up or the room is completely dark. *Thank you for this informative review! :D*
How does it perform outside?
Oh and he'll yah, show us wassup with the home theater when u set it up! Go sonos Brah!

Native 4k?

+TinyShades thanks!

Thanks for the info, very informative. Costco has this for 1199.00. Awesome Laser projector for the price. Thanks again
Make 1 no thanks

Is the lamp replaceable? I have been struggling to find the answer.
+Justin Vazquez yeah I am thinking about doing that. I know projectors aren't a huge mobile tech thing but it's an interesting segment.
maybe you should review one thats not that expensive.something under $200. id buy one at that price for my bedroom for messing around with at night.
Its really familiar to Lg smart tv users!
laser projector sound cool however i would like to know what is the daylight capability 200 lumen is nothing in today projector so i don't understand what the laser really stand for (image quality was great i admite)
Hey great review do you know the distance that this projector needs to de to project on a 50” pull screen
how far away must it be for 100 inchs thanks
document and share your home theater project please
Do you get artificial visuals sometimes
Hi, could you tell me what camera and settings (framerate / shutter etc) you used to film the projected image? I'm asking because I had lots of flickering issues using a Sony A7s II and a picobit laser projector. Thanks! :)
it's the tv tuner digital??
This thing is so cool

Very informative video 👍👍
what should be the distance if i want 89" out of this projector
just when i thought the anker projector was expensive.

I can't believe there are still focus issues with these in 2017. Does it at least have a glass lens vs plastic?
I believe it's plastic
4:55 Dynamic Contrast, Dynamic Color and Super Resolution should all be off.
What's the battery life like ?
+Vintagehorizonsss Tv no battery built in. Power only. They have a smaller version coming.
include youtube app?
Documentation, yes please!
I will do it over the summer! Thanks for watching
Danny Winget no prob!
will the LG web-os work with most stations?? my LG TV will no longer play free speech TV or democracy now.... :(
What's the max viewing screen size with clarity?
120 inches. I thought 100 was perfect for brightness and maximum clarity. Even at 120" its sharp.
It is super weird to hear people talking about WebOS again...
+jwlandfair yeah I am glad LG picked it up. It is fantastic for a TV OS.
Why would anyone want a 4k. Be Happ with 1080 or 2k tops.
By the way all the media starts spreading 4k there will be tv with 16k.
how can i connect to mobile in android
Hi Mr.D. thoes it have True Motion (for fast movies) and 3D? tnx a lot
+Vegan Fred there is no 3D but yes there is a setting for the motion.
Please document and share
Nice vid!!
does this support 3d like some of the xiaomi projectors?
no 3d
It's nice but for the cost, 1080p is unacceptable.
Can it be hooked up to a Dish Network receive?
Three Dee Yes, thru HDMI
hello dear, it can really project up to 220 inch? i checked in the specifications that says only 120 inch, please help me.... thanks .
only up to 120
+navas manali 120
The 120" is suggested for the clearest picture. The picture can be extended for a backyard movie night, but you will sacrifice image quality.
its basically a portable LG TV whoch you can watxh on the wall
Yup!
I painted my wall with projector screen paint! Don;t like the look of dedicated projector screens
Never thought about that. I still want a screen though. I want to do a portable one I can move so I can take it outside too
yeah, makes sense. Good projector screens are expensive though. If you want to save money, build a frame out of wood and buy projector cloth separately, then attach it with an industrial stapler.
Sup Mister Winget
It is gooood
Brah that projector is $$$$ lol! I was looking at that Anker one with JBL speakers built in.
+Guysen Pauline I should get that one in too! Look for that on the channel soon.
There was nothing wrong whit it? Strange ad...
I like gold oneplus5 i want one
Good video
ohhh yea
Hi
I see a severe rainbow effect in the video. does the real thing look like this?
I also want to know
that price is unreal, you are better to buy epson.
anyone else see rainbow effects?
No 4
It's not worth its price tag, $1,344.99
It’s not a LAZER projector!!! Lazer projectors do not require focus adjustment! Liar!
get a real projector like the 5040ub, rs400
It's grossly overpriced. There are MUCH better options on the market for half the price (no I'm not going to list them, easily found online).
