Wow! William is as articulate as you behind the camera. Don't know that I have heard him say more than a couple words in any other video. GREAT JOB!
mcmillanfarms i’m really trying to get him to do more of these videos because he’s so much better than I am in explaining things. Hopefully he’ll get the nervousness worked out and start doing more of it.
He has a good presence! Not shy or tongue tied at all.
I kept hearing these zone terms in a lot of videos without knowing what they mean. I eventually got fed up and strarted googling. Didn't get any result that would make sense. Came back here in youtube, types the same keywords, and found your video. That was very well explained, thank you so much! You just earned one new subscriber.
Great information! I like how you mentioned and reiterated the fact that they are not just concentric circles. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I’m sure this should help a lot of people 👍
Conrad Homestead thanks a million! We are going to try and keep doing this series on the basics of permaculture because many of the people I know are putting the cart before the horse.
Perma Pastures Farm great idea. We’ll be taking it all in.
That was explained really well. We just keep learning from you guys. Thanks for sharing!
Living Quite Simply thank you!!
I love when I pull up a topic and my favorite Permaculture channel pops up! This was really helpful.

Noah Bates gotta love you tube!
@@PermaPasturesFarm21 Well I actually have to love having Verizon as a carrier, because two weeks in the western part of the US... I was the only one in the family that had service. Lol. I got notifications of your posts, but the wife and I like to watch your videos on the big TV. Lol. Its almost like you're right there in our living room, explaining perma culture to us. Lmao
Noah Bates thanks for the support bro!
@@PermaPasturesFarm21 No worries on the support. The Bates' family is all about learning and well thought out content. Lol
Y’all did such a good job of concise explanations! Thank you!

Montgomery County , Texas 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I never considered zones in permaculture. Nice food for thought . 💭
Julie Ankeny They really make your life easier!
More videos on this topic would be awesome. I'm struggling to figure out how to set up my 10 acres
Lol. Currently my property is all zone 5!
Thank you 😊
💚
Subbed
Nomadis Mileseeker thank you!
All of our property is a mountain side which apparently sits the wrong way with only trees, do we clear most of them to make pasture?
Brah is that Kane Brown with a mullet?
What a long driveway! How do you have any Internet out there? We're not even that far from a tiny town, and yet we're still really struggling to get good Internet (we've had like 5 different ones so far, even 4 at once, lol).
Strangely, we actually have fiber optics out here!
@@PermaPasturesFarm21 ........Wut. I'm happy for yet so envious of you guys. Like 10 acres and a long driveway away from the road AND fiber??? You have it MADE!
@@PermaPasturesFarm21 lucky guys I have to go in town to get good internet 🌻
Thanks I sure hope you or your son can visit me in NE KS. I am steward of 80 acres and do not know where to begin.
It all comes down to what can you manage, what are your goals and what will the land allow? You could probably get a good idea of where you can start by reading Joel Salatin‘s books.
@@PermaPasturesFarm21 I am reading The Sheer Ecstasy of a Lunatic Farmer. My mission is to produce back yard sustainability with poultry and starter plants. My problem is the vision is bigger than my ability. I live alone 64 years old with health issues. I have no experience. The only knowledge I have is from watching you guys. What I need is a couple of work for stay house mates, that are interested in market gardening.
@@StephenJelinek there are ways to acquire the people you need but I’m not sure how that whole system works. William is more aware of how to do it. Let me get with him later today and I’ll get back with you.
@@PermaPasturesFarm21 Thanks if I can help someone to become self reliant, it will be worth it. I do not like adhering to all the governmental red tape. Not interested in the government certification of being organic. My livestock is healthy and probably have to much freedom. two of my goats should kid this spring. Last year they each had twins.
@@StephenJelinek I spoke with my son and he said the only reliable means of acquiring the kind of people you would need is through Joel Salatin’s website.
