Very talented cricketer. Couldn't play lot due to injuries.

Ross Taylor, like Anderson,Broad and Ishant Sharma, seems to have been around forever!
Southee too. They all debuted pretty young though.
Taylor, broad, southee, sharma all debuted in 2007-08. A 13 or 14 yr long career is pretty normal. Kudos to anderson though 👏 18 years in international cricket now🔥

U missed out Steve Buckner 😂
True that 😀
Great to see some high quality footage of Vettori bowling in his prime.
Vettori always has been underrated despite good performance 🤔🤔
yes
He was in the shadow of Fleming Mccullm bond and many more
Many new Zealand players are underrated Ross Taylor, Tim southee just recent examples

Vettori if played in sub continent conditions would have picked 700 wickets..! Just see this pitch it is not assisting spinners still using his intelligence bowled well
That's why he's my favourite left arm spinner
That's not how it always works. Lyon has so many wickets despite playing in Australia, check his record in Indian decks where there's more help for spinners. It's not that black and white
Its best comment of cricket vedios...Truth thing..He is legend of his own.

Just Look at Daniel Vettori Bowling action really amazing 😍😍 still love it
This was great to watch. Keep 'em coming Lord's.
Brendon McCullum 🔥♥️
Broad and anderson was main Duo in Vaghan's captaincy, Strauss's captaincy in cook's captaincy they were the best. We even get too see them together in Root's captaincy

Straus and cook what an opening duo!

Miss those wonderful days when cricket all around the world was top class. Sad we cannot watch this class of cricket these days
Test cricket is still top class better than 2000s. India Vs Australia series held recently is a big proof of that
Test cricket still is top class. Odis too. T20 though is rubbish
Test Cricket is back at Lord's next week as these two teams do battle once again! What players are you looking forward to seeing playing?!
Looking forward to Williamson and Taylor vs Jimmy and Broad
@@rvs1444 absolutely! Also looking forward to watching Kyle Jameson playing his first oversees test in England, (Lord's no less) with the Duke ball. Also the mature and now fully world class Tim Southee. It's a shame Ben Stokes won't be playing. I think Joe Root is going to need to score very heavily for England in this coming series. Indeed, New Zealand have a lot of very mature top class talent to watch with anticapation now. Latham and Nicholls in particular with the bat and Neil Wagner with the ball to. Also look out for a very motivated performance from the eternally underrated, (or at least under-noticed) BJ Watling who will be playing his last 3 test matches. Another 100 or two in England would finish things off wonderfully for him. England will be a serious challenge without doubt, and will maybe even still be favourites being at home, but it seams to me they're going to be dangerously without some of their best players. The great Anderson and Broad will have to step up along with Root. No doubt some other new talent will announce itself to.
@@kennethcrowther2277 Agree......This is New Zealand's best chance.
I think they struggled in Australia last year because they dint really play the extra bounce well
Here in England it's swing and they do have a lot of swing bowlers and hence their batsmen would fare better
England aren't very strong but the bowling attack is. Root, Broad and Anderson have to step up
Can't wait
Hope England will bounce back more positive after Ashes disaster.
Great sportsmanship from both teams i love vettori
I love both teams. New Zealand and England are my favourite international cricket teams. I just enjoyed all innings. Daniel Vettori is one of my favourite NZ cricketer. Jacob Oram's century was wonderful. We must appreciate the English crowd also because they are clapping and giving respect for New Zealand Cricketers. When NZ Cricketers scores the boundaries. English people are clapping and giving respect for NZ Cricketers. That was wonderful. 👍
My Top 10 Favourite New Zealand Cricketers:
1. Brendon McCullum
2. Chris Cairns
3. Jacob Oram
4. Trent Boult
5. Scott Styris
6. Craig McMillan
7. Mitchell Santner
8. Daniel Vettori
9. Ross Taylor
10. Kane Williamson
Vaughan may not have the best average, but he scored when it really mattered! His technique is so beautiful and classy to watch

England need this kind of Opening Partnership again if they have to win the Ashes
Yeah mate one of the best opening partnerships for ENG in the 20s is Root and Cook, two brilliant batters
Strauss and Trescothick and then Strauss and Cook were our opening batsmen for years. We were so lucky to have that. We need to get back to that sort of world class opening batsmen to be the best.
@@mrkipling2201 absolutely, in the ashes 2005, the openers Marcus Trescothick and Andrew Strauss together posted 100+ opening partnership and hence England was on the front seat.
@@jitendraprasad9268 certainly were. Started in the Edgbaston test when Ponting made a terrible decision to put us into bat and carried on from there. That 2005 series was brilliant but it also meant it would be very hard in Australia in 2006/07. Australia knew we were the better team in 2005 and wanted our blood so to speak!!
Ya after 2012 eng have literally struggled in Australia
Anderson was dangerous in 2003 , was dangerous in 2008 , was dangerous in 2014 , dangerous in 2018 , still he is dangerous 😅😂
Na he wasn't dangerous in 2003😂. He took some while to settle in intl Cricket

12:27 Great Delivery from Jacob Oram 🇳🇿
I always thought Ryan Sidebottom could have accumulated a few more MPH if he had only trimmed his locks! It’s a shame we did not see more of him. Honest hard-working professional.
Totally agree
I think it was a quite slow match as it was drawn though england's 2nd innings batting was left
That New Zealand was like Today's South Africa
They were still a very decent odi side at that time, always ranked 3rd or 4th in odis, garbage in tests ..
Great Highlights Though.
On That time No Root and No williamson😮
I love England very much,
And I love Alastair Cook Also
Excellent from oram love these highlights upload more matches like this lords cricket ground

If that young chap would wash his hair he could be a decent bowler!
cook and strauss greatest opening pair in england cricket history.
Have you ever heard of Sir Jack Hobbs and Herbert Sutcliffe?
Yes I have. They scored 3249 runs together at an average of 87.81. Cook and Strauss didn't manage even half of that tally
I meant average
amazed that they didn't mention oram's name in the title!!!!!!!!!!!
Brendon mccullum is always a nightmare for Anderson & broad
I wish Flintoff and harmison Jones were in this squad
Why does that pitch have so many foot marks and black spots in the first innings?
that’s how it is at lords in the early summer
Lots of footmarks=swing and movement of the ball
number 7s are meant to just hold the fort and nab a few
Vettori: What?

Micheal Vaughan was good batsman but now all he's doing sh!t on social media which is inappropriate
Aahhhh test match cricket in England
Watching this is to be reminded of the days when Broad was still an all-rounder, as opposed to the "Night hawk" slogger his batting has now become.
