Sometimes just finishing the race is a win for me! 😂 Love your drive (all puns intended).
Same, haha!
Thank you so much 🥰
Lol.. Me too!
this is the realest comment to be honest
Certain races it really is an achievement just to finish LOL like trying to cross a minefield while getting shot at while running away from a lion.
Getting back into sim racing after several years and iRacing terrifies me. I’m both excited to get started and also dreading the process of progressing through the ranks. It’s good to see someone else thats working through that journey. It’s a unique perspective. Keep up the great content!
It's exactly the way I felt! It's so much fun but also so much pressure. Very rewarding when you get it right. I am glad you enjoyed the video, and am excited for you to get back to sim racing! Thank you for the support :) See you on track!
oh boy i had the same feeling when i started a month ago! just focusing on finishing with 0 incidence points (almost never works haha) and complete ignoring i racing has put me to C license in two weeks, you can do it!
What terrifies me more is women driving 😂
Getting back into iracing with VR and a new PC after years, I've been stressing so much in the races! I am definitely going to give the AI races a try - they weren't there for me years ago! Thanks for the journey!
I've watched plenty of IRacing channels but what I like about yours is you don't start screaming at the other drivers, complaining if you get past and most importantly you're not in a hurry. Many times being patient is the best strategy. Can't wait for your next video, yes I have subbed.
Thank you so much for the feedback, and for the sub! I am more on the calm/quiet side and I am glad to hear that it is something that is being appreciated, as I didn't want my videos to be boring. Definitely being patient and just enjoying the process! I want to keep this as something fun, and not something that gets me frustrated haha
Idk what channels you watched but try dave cam , he checks all of the (things?/boxes?) u mentioned.
You like this channel because shes fit. Just be honest
@@2010nicknak lmao
@@2010nicknakI honestly like the channel because she doesn't drive to wreck everyone once she gets past, the videos aren't filled with expletives that would trigger warning signs and no whining if something does go wrong. Not every guy is a horn-dog following women's channels because of their looks.
I'm proud of you for learning the car's limits, learning the track limits, keeping composure and letting us watch. You're doing great and you can only get better! Looking forward to your journey!
Really appreciate it, thank you! I am glad you enjoyed the video. Will keep sharing ;)
I wish more of these video would be out on the internet. Your mindset to tackle the Iracing's rookie class must be spread everywhere!
I mean by that, that most of the people feels rookie class as a punishment and most of the answers to the question "How to get out of rookies" will be "Start from the pit and do your ten laps miles behind the field". Which makes D and C class a non-enjoyable pure chaos.
While you captured the essence of it which is a school for beginners to learn how to actually race other people. Here you are showing fellow sim racers they need to prepare for the race, ask themselves how to improve and most importantly try to race to learn the limit and the rules of a battle on track.
Awesome content, I'm definitely looking forward to see how your journey goes :)
I like that there's a kind of mini story to your iRacing journey. To throw out one of my favorite SW quotes: "We Will Watch Your Career With Great Interest"
I'm in my 6th year of iRacing and it's always great to see new simracers take on the hobby in such a dedicated way!
You've done great
Thank you! Really appreciate it :)
Whats a good budget for iracing? The military doesnt really allow for me to do this with gear, thats why i stick to gran turismo
She did 3 Races in iRacing to get out of Rookie and never raced in iRacing again after that, just search up her name
Amazing! Awesome to see other new people joining the service! Extra impressive to run your first races on a track as chaotic as Charlotte.
I started iRacing, myself about three weeks ago. Made the climb from rookies to C class in the FF1600, but I do not recommend that path lol. I hope to see you on the track at some point!
Thanks!! Appreciate the support. Charlotte was definitely not the easiest to start on 😅
Hope to see you on the track too! 😉
Of course you will get out of rookie class;) Welcome to Iracing....this was a great video to watch. Its great seeing new people join our community
Thank you! I appreciate it ☺️
Thanks for sharing. I've never done sim racing, so I appreciate the voice over. You're a smart and skilled driver, so I'm ready to follow your journey. I'm sure I will learn a lot and be entertained as well.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the feedback. It's my goal to stay honest, and share both what I know and don't know yet. Glad to have you take part in this journey! I'll try to keep it as entertaining as possible ;)
You will do well without doubt. Obvious with the proffesional way in which you are approaching the challenge of racing on the sim. good luck to you streaming and on track😁
Thanks for that! Fingers crossed 😬
Nice video! Look forward to seeing more of your iRacing career!
Thank you very much!
Just got iRacing after years of Asetto. Nervous to get into my first race but I have been using stronger Ai for the same reason of practicing overtakes, passing and defending. Great video!
Enjoy your journey into sim racing.
It is enormous fun.
Well done on getting out of Rookies.
Thank you very much, appreciate it!
Having a lot of fun for sure :)
Nice driving in the end! Good luck on the next step :) For me it took about 6 to 7 races to qualify out of rookie class couple of years ago while I still played iRacing. There were a lot of crashes in the races and usually I was unlucky and hit the piles. After 4 carnage races, I just cruised the races without any "racing" and got the D-license. After that I started to drive RX on iRacing and even won couple of races :) ..now I only play rally games, especially Richard Burns Rally that still is the best rally game there is on my mind. With rallysimfans package RBR has turned to be really nice, and completely free :)
Great content here. Just the type I was looking for. Thanks. Keep posting us!
Glad you enjoyed it! And thanks 😊 new video coming up later today! Slightly different content though.
Ooooh, new iRacing series?! Subscribed. Can't wait to see more. Appreciate the editing + commentary!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate the sub and the support 🙌
Nice too see new people around, Welcome to our community. I hope to see you soon at the first split...
Thank you so much! Will do my best to improve quickly!
Awesome, I know that newbie feeling, I've only had my cockpit about a week or so, and pushing hard in ACC, I'm the same, lose focus on my driving and end up watching what the other cars are doing. Those blue sausage curbs look rough. I haven't attempted a public race yet, and maybe done around 6 or 7 against AI in ACC. I start myself at the back, so I can work my way up through the pack, but just can't get past a certain point, but lap times are steadily increasing. Hours of fun 😀. Anyways, good luck and push on!
It’s good to hear I am not the only newbie!! Definitely having a ton of fun ;)
I have heard a lot to not qualify/ start from the pit at the beginning, but I wanted to get some experience just being around other drivers, and trying to race clean. I’ve got a lot to learn and improve on but that was a nice challenge to myself to start! Thanks for commenting and for the support 😊
We , when your lap times start to DECREASE then you are not going to be a newbie any more.
You're tougher than I am, because I hate racing without gloves on. I recommend it to anyone getting into simracing. Helps maintain the wheel too!
Thanks for sharing this. I'm new to PC sim racing, and have still been sharpening my driving in ACC (and having fun in AC and WRC). But eventually I want to get competitive and get into iRacing. So this video was a good introduction into what I can expect as a newbie.👍
TBH, I'm not sure what you're expecting out of iRacing that you're not getting from LFM. In terms of competitive experience, they're both very similar. If you have money to burn, then iRacing is an option but, IMO, since LFM came along it's become easily the better platform - especially with the introduction of Assetto Corsa. The money situation in iRacing is its biggest problem (not to mention the outdated graphics and shockingly bad netcode issues). For the monthly payment you only get a very small selection of cars. When I gave it a go, I ended up having to buy another car to progress once I was out of Rookies because I didn't have the cars for that week's races. There may also be times when you have to buy tracks as well. I honestly cannot recommend iRacing unless you're comfortable with constantly having to buy content to get the most out of it.
@@daviddavies3637 AC on LFM has poor participationn compared to iRacing, the community size does not compare, especially if you want to have some variety in racing
Happy to hear! I have been doing the same mostly, training in other games too but iRacing was totally new. Glad it could help ;)
@@daviddavies3637making iRacing sound like a devil lol, not sure when the last time you checked the release notes or raced…
@@nozzieracing3444 Have they scrapped the pay-to-progress model? If not, it's still the devil.
Great quality video! You have put some impressive effort into creating and editing this video. Nice narrative as well. Enjoy your time on the track.
Much appreciated! And thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed your narrative approach to this video, will be on the lookout for more!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it, and I appreciate the feedback :)
Enjoying ur channel & watching u learn & grow as a driver. Don’t forget the whole point is to have fun!!! :)
Thank you very much! Yes definitely doing it for fun before anything else! A bit more pressure when I am trying to record for you guys though haha
Welcome! Looking forward to your progress
Thank you! I appreciate the support :)
You done great, iracing is stressful yet you you stayed calm, great job, you will become a beast in it
Thank you, I appreciate it 🙌 will do my best!!
I’m looking forward to watching g the next part of your iRacing journey! (Even if the iRating goes in the wrong direction for a while, as that was my experience at first lol)
Thanks! I will try to upload a video soon ;)
Congrats and great racing! IRacing gets very addictive! Love the track battles.
It really is addictive! Thank you for the comment and support :)
Done well keeping chill is the most important
I just got my first sim setup up and running today. I watched your video a few days ago and after doing some practice myself today with an MX-5 Cup car, I must say you did quite well. Patient, polite and a good driver. Keep it up. I'd race with you any day! Also, as an owner/driver of a 2019 MX-5 Club in competitive events. It seems much harder to drive on iRacing than real life.
Thank you so much, it means a lot to hear that, especially from someone that also races in real life! At this point I am really focusing on driving and racing clean, and trying to be consistent. Winning races will come with more experiences and training. Hope to see you on the track soon then ;)
When you see irl a driver get their first podium you can tell by their excitement and the teams joy that it took them a lot of time, effort, patience, determination and dedication to get there and I’m sure one day soon you’ll feel similar emotions with iRacing. Great content Sarah, keep up the good work.
Very true! I do hope I get there sometime, and hopefully I'll be able to share it as well. Thank you so much for the support :)
No idea why or how this popped up in my feed, but the words “I’ve been a car and racing enthusiast since a kid” got yourself another new subscriber! Most of us started like that. I’ve wondered if you’ve thought about RC racing (like touring cars or LMP)? I only ask as I know a few folks who are into actual track racing (go karts and others) as well as Sim racing also race RCs. I’ve been thinking about sim racing, but I’m looking to get my motorcycle license so all my money is going into that and getting a bike hahahaha. Looking forward to seeing you progress.
I’m going to enjoy watching your journey. Best of luck.
Thanks, appreciate it! 🙌
Oh man, you gave me flashbacks from when I was in the rookie class. I had the luck or surviving a nasty accident in a race and led a few laps until my nerves got the best of me and I spun out. I have won 1 offroad race though. Good luck in your iRacing career.
Well I am so glad to hear I am not the only one getting nervous! It seems rather stupid in a simulator, but it's almost impossible to control. Congrats on your win! Hopefully I'll win a race one of these days . Thanks for the comment and good luck to you too!
Great job in your races. Tough luck on race 1, though. Race 2 was smart. Be patient and let everyone else make mistakes
Nice work over all.
Thank you! Definitely a learning curve, but it was a good first experience!
Good one! Really inspiring to restart my Sim Racing hobby time!
Thanks! Really happy to hear that! Hope to see you on the track then ;)
Good Job👊 .. I started at the beginning ofJan this year, now competing in the B class series in the GT3 and Nascar . Its been a tough but very enjoyable journey.. But 80% of my reduction in Iracing safety points is from other drivers getting very over eger to over take at the wrong place on the track causing big crashes and obviously loss of safety points for all parties. What helped me, is having as much data info on the screen while driving Ie Position of cars behind, infront & timings I wish you a successful Iracing journey and great channel BTW👍
Awesome! That was quick from rookie to B class, congrats! Yes the SR point system could be improved imo.. regardless of if you are faulty or not you get penalized the same way, which sucks. Thanks for the tips! And thanks for the support! Much appreciated :)
Good to know there is another female racer. Well done Sarah and very inspiring! I just made my very first step into iRacing, done just a few test drives. Hope to jump onto a real race as soon as I get the hang of all this.
Thank you, Suzie! Definitely a male dominated field, but hopefully more and more women will feel comfortable joining ;)
Lots to learn for iRacing, but it's a lot of fun! Subscribed to your channel, hope to see your iRacing races soon ;)
I was on the same journey last week. semi experienced sim/real life racer brand new to iracing. I'm loving it so far with he mx5. It's hard to just drive clean and forget about winning but most of the time just keeping it clean means a half decent finishing position. keep it up
That's awesome! Fun to hear about others on the same path. The mx5 is really fun. Charlotte was not an easy track to start on 😂
Trying to focus on consistency at the beginning is definitely more important than winning races, but I understand the wish to be competitive, especially if you race irl ;)
@SarahNocchi yeah I'm not a fan of the Charlotte raceway. Now you have a D licence, you should be able to do the Toyota GR Cup, which is an awesome series included with the basic iracing package.
Results may not be amazing, but you're showing a focus on safety and learning rather than all out gunning for wins, which I think will take you a lot further than the alternative
Welcome to iracing :) looking forward to your journey !
Thank you so much!
I've tried RFactor, RFactor 2, Automobilista 2, etc, but I have never seen an in-depth walkthrough of IRacing like this before. I'm definitely going to have to watch more of your videos.
Glad you enjoyed it! I'll definitely be sharing more iRacing videos in the coming weeks ;) Appreciate the comment, thanks!
Definitely we want more videos of your progress! I would also love to see if there are any other racing games that you enjoy.
Glad to hear! Thanks :) I'll try to diversify the content
Really nice video! I hope to see more such in the future from you. You did really well racecraftwise in those races. I am intersted what cars and series you will pick up along the way.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate this kind of feedback! I’ll keep posting ;) feel free to let me know if there is anything particular you would like to see in the future
Welcome to iRacing! One of my favorites to race. I normally do oval, but I'm working towards having all A licenses. I only have dirt road left!
That's awesome, congrats!! And thank you :)
I started back in December with iRacing. I had spent some time on Assetto Corsa previously but not nearly enough to learn how to drive properly. One of the things I found very useful is to find a good league and join it (if you haven't already). I will follow your journey as mine seems very similar.
That overtake at 9:13 🔥
Calm, cool and collected. Good racing and giving us tips!!
Thanks! Collected I am not so sure haha but always calm ;)
New iRacing video coming up soon!
You go! You've got the fundamentals right. Practice, practice, practice...you will get better. That wasn't too bad for a start. Always remember to have fun 😉
Thank you! I am officially back into training, and will be posting a new video soon ;) Hoping to improve a lot in the next few months
Don't get discouraged, you will get comfortable with cars behind you and learn how to affectively defend. I just takes time. Staying in the race is almost always a benefit, most people quit if they go off track, doing that you learn only one thing, how to quit.
Mostly, have fun #1
Great advice, and thank you!
Definitely won’t be quitting ;) just learning and having fun.
I definitely gave myself a tough challenge starting with this track and starting races from the grid, but made it out of rookies, so pretty happy so far :)
hope to see you on the track sometime, keep making good content!!
Thanks! I'll do my best ;) See you on the track!
Welcome to IRacing... Been in IRacing for a few years now. I do love it.
Thank you!
And that’s awesome! Hope to see you on the track soon :)
!!! Fantastic Setup !! keep Rocking !
Thank you so much!!
Hello, I started the same time as you and got out of rookies mx5 at Charlotte too. Im in the GR86 now ang like it much more. Good luck on track!
That’s awesome! I’ll see you on the track then ;) good luck!
Hey you're going to be great at this! Jeep it up I'll be watching!
Thank you! I appreciate it! I'll keep posting ;)
Love your attitude! Great video
Thank you, it is great to hear! Glad you enjoyed it
Good start. Keep it up!
Thank you! Appreciate it :)
I am impressed. Well done.
Thank you! Appreciate it 🙌
great video, my only little tip is go to the settings bottom left and turn on Dark mode, it makes the main screen so much easier to see. good luck and hope to see you on track some day.
Good video! Good luck on your iracing journey!
When I started, For the mx5 standing starts, rev to 4K, then shift to 1st on the green, and then just apply accelerator as needed to get a pretty reliable start every time
Cool, thanks for the tip! Appreciate it, and appreciate the support :)
love ur content, ur such a nice person as well
Thank you so much!!
Great video quality. You’ll do better once you rank up and find a car that fits your driving style. This Reminds me of when I first started, i spun or crashed every race for a few weeks. Find a good car. Get good setups and you’ll always be consistent. Just be consistent and you’ll be top 5 easily. Lots of people crash out every race
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback. Definitely trying to be consistent and feel more confident in the race settings. I’ll follow your advice and do my best 😉
Nice! Keep racing! Hopefully there will be some LMU content in the future.
Thanks! ☺️
I’ll definitely have to give LMU a try!!
best t_t_ ive ever seen on a rookie
Just some tips. Dont worry about to much about irating now have some fun trying out diffferent cars and focus more on safety rating. Next I would join a team will make it so much more funner and it will mean you can do the big team endureance events. There are tones of teeams big ones and small ones but it will really help you go so much quicker. If you are interested I am in this team that work great with people who start and if they want to get into endurance racing. I would also recommend getting racelabs which is an overla. It also tells you what safety and irating they are.
You did well. Rookies can be a real challenge to some. Find a class you like now and go and enjoy racing and getting even faster. Work hard on trail braking and the cars balance, once you're able to control the balance of the car you'll find youve given yourself much more grip. Look forward to racing you on track someday.
Thank you! I am definitely focusing on improving my technic for now, so I can be more competitive in races later. Thanks for watching! See you on track soon ;)
This is useful 👌🏼👌🏼great video
Thank you! Appreciate it :)
Great video - it’s not easy starting in IRacing, stressful!
Thank you!! Definitely is 😬
Beautiful switchback
amazing, this is a great channel!
Thank you very much! Glad you liked it
Great video. Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks
Wonderful!
Thanks!
it's always nice to see a girl behind the wheel. Ciao bellissima 🇮🇹😊
Thanks! Glad to hear you enjoy the content ;)
Im not trying to downplay you any, but i was genuinely surprised! 👌
Haha well I guess it's always good to hear! Thanks :)
This video was in my recommended. I have never even heard of IRacing. Looks pretty cool. Is it possible to do F1 locations? Sazuka is my favorite! I hope you upload more often. I see this video is 10 days old. Now I am hooked. Did you get up to 1500 rating? Do you ever plan to stream on Twitch? Thanks for opening this world up to me. I love F1 and this looks awesome!
I been taking a break currently in c class for road but been a fun ride
I'm glad to see i'm not the only one that gets stressed during a race. 😁😁
Haha definitely not! 🫣
WOW, u sit very well :O
that switch-a-roo at 9:10 was crazy haha
And for any rank you want to get out of, just focus on running clean races first and winning second, and really compete when you're willing to sacrifice safety rating
Yes haha
And definitely agree! At this point I don’t have enough confidence to really try to race anyways, so just focusing on getting more experience and improving my safety rating ;)
That was a nice watch, love the calm vibes you give off!
Have you considered streaming your sessions? Nothing too interactive or distracting, just like a background thing, y'know?
Thank you, I appreciate it!
I have been thinking about it, but I want to get more comfortable first. Definitely might in the future! ;)
very cool compilation👏, being constant and finishing races without X or few Xs is the goal, iRacing is therapy💆.
Couldn't agree more!
And thank you ;)
You sure can get out of rookie .... this is already awesome 🤗💖
Thank you very much, appreciate it!
Nice going!
Thanks :)
Smooth driver
Subscribed.. great video.. keep it up 🙏
Thank you so much! Appreciate the support and sub :)
@SarahNocchi I'm doing the same as you so I can relate.. good luck with your racing!
great content :-) well done
Thank you, appreciate it! :)
New sub here 👍 great driving, nice calm aura ( on the outside 🤣) keep it up and good luck!. Look forward to keeping an eye on your journey?! I haven't a powerful enough PC to try i racing but i do a lot on console. Only advice from me is concentrate on your braking markers. Find points that leave you still braking on entry to the corners and coming off (trail braking) sometimes braking to early is as bad as braking too late, you steer in to early or narrow off the corners. Once you get a real grip on trail braking you use it as a steering/rotation tool instead of just the wheel. Its easier to master it early than get out of bad habits later. As less fun as it maybe concentrate on learning track and technique over being competitive initially. Other than turning in a bit early your driving very very well. Hope you don't mind advice. Good luck 👍
Thank you so much for the feedback, support and sub! Really appreciate it. I am always open to receiving advice and tips! I have a lot to learn still. I have been learning and practicing trail braking a lot, but I am still struggling with consistency. It’s difficult to deliver a consistent and precise amount of braking and that’s why I end up braking early, to be « safe » 😅
Thanks again for the comment and sub!
@@SarahNocchi you'll get there 👍 it's just repeat brain training. If you do still brake early, just try not to turn in early so it doesn't effect your exit speed so much. You loose much less time in the braking zone as you do not getting on it so early. The car can only do 100% of any one thing, I've 100%brake straight, max steer at Apex, full gas at straight steering. As you release one you can add that percentage of another. The end goal is to be steering fully at the apex without either pedal for the least amount of time as possible. But whilst learning a new track, holding the right line and getting on the gas as early as possible is more important, once you nail the exit you can find the brake limits into it. Then you'll be 🔥
Keep posting 👍
I will!
hey, cool Video and congrats! When you are in D i can recommend Clio Cup as a little secret its really good to learn and mostly clean and a nice comunity. I went there last summer and are going to 2,5k soon :)
Hey! Thank you! Great recommendation :)
As a French, the Clio has a special place in my heart, so I might give it a try!
I got much to learn to get to pro level 😅but I'm ready for the journey
Hello Sarah.
Of course you get out.
Pratice more and more and more and more.
Do not give up.
I won't! Thanks :)
Brava. Complimenti !
Grazie Mille!
Trop bonne idée de suivre les autres voitures 😁
Merci ☺️
Good driving, nice :)
Thanks! Appreciate it :)
tracks races are fun but am a rally driver in belgium and rally is alot more scary and fun but all racers have they fun moments and bad moments so keep up the good work
good luck girl
Thank you!
Ahh it was the same for me, I started 8 weeks ago & remember the frustration of the first races. Maybe try the F1600 series, it's less demolition derby than MX5. Do you know you can join a race thats running by selecting watch, then race as a ghost car with no effect to SR or IR. great for learning lines. Also if you have a bad race and loose SR you can make it up with a time trial, do the full 30 min and you get .06 SR increase depending on track. Well done getting out of rookies. Ferrari challenge and GT4 are both great in D class.
Thank you! And super great tips, I really appreciate it! I have no idea I could race as a ghost car. Definitely going to give that a try next ;)
I’m going to keep practicing on the MX5 for a little while but the Ferrari Challenge sounds amazing as a next step 😊
@@SarahNocchi Here is a vid about ghost race ruclips.net/video/qR9aT4rTekg/видео.html.
I hope you have a better weekend racing than I have. 5 races in a row I have been crashed into and car had to get tow truck and pit. My irating & ST have plummeted. But i'll do some time trials to get my SR back up. Also next race I will be in a lower split and hopefully a chance for podium finish. Great work on the channel, 5.28k subs in a month is impressive.
The yatas are definitely tricky for me. Very fun though
You certainly got the skill.
If you can keep a cool head when being chased, then you are half way there.
Just remember, when someone is trying too overtake you, you have the lead and right too stick your nose in too the corner first.
Sure, be wary of your opponent, but when i started back in 2014, i used too lose concentration by trying to be too lenient and fair on the guy trying too overtake me, trying to look back as well as concentrate on my braking points.
The one chasing you is the one that needs to make sure they don't hit YOU, so just focus on the racing line, be aware of them, but don't panic.
Once you have that down, the rest will flow.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the support and tips! Definitely useful feedback. The way you describe it is exactly why I end up losing places or crashing. I am working on my confidence and consistency. I am trying to race clean so I think the stress also comes from worrying about others hitting me as much as me crashing haha. Hopefully soon I’ll have enough experience to be much more relaxed :)
Good racing, just remember after crash immediately press BRAKE not to go back on race line after hitting wall. Would love to see you racing ACC with Jardier! thanks for sharing
YES, 100%. I am slowly learning the dos and donts. Thanks for watching! I'll be sharing more ;)
