Just bought a vertical pit boss on the weekend. Knocked off work early today and I’m an hour into my own masterpiece. Just had to go buy honey. Thankyou from Down Under
Yeah, glazing ribs on foil to keep the sauce on your ribs and out of your cooker is just common sense. The “foil boat” method is for using foil under and up around the edges of any bbq done in lieu of wrapping during the cook, with the benefit mainly to protect the edges without steaming the bark and smoke off on the presentation side.
Ribs looked great. Those pecan shell pellets add some good flavor. You know they were either real good with that 43 score from the chip off the old block.
Hey Ezra! This is also Ezra. I just bought the 1600 elite. I am slightly confused on how this VST works. Do you set the P setting lower or higher for more smoke? Thanks for all you do and this channel.
So, I'm a beginner with BBQ and I have the 850 Pro PB - what is the difference between smoking and grilling (with this model specifically), as far as setup? I'll be using mine for both but I want to make sure I do things right.
Great video! Your son’s reaction says it all. Smoke on brother!
Just found this video! Thanks for sharing about our pellets Andrew! We're thrilled Ezra loved the ribs. They look incredible!
I did the recipe today with Cabelas Sweet rips seasoning and sweat baby rays Hickory and Brown sugar BBQ sauce. To die for!!! Soooo good!!
That's awesome! I did not even know Cabela's made bbq rubs. I'll have to check them out.
Outstanding cook, those ribs looked amazing! Cheers 🍻

this aint the foil boat if you still did the crutch. it's supposed to be in lieu of wrapping, as David pointed out.
Great cook...video, audio, and editing on point! 👀 🍖🍖
Excellent BBQ judge!
