ABOUT BUC-EE'S
Buc-ee's is a Texan chain of convenience stores and gas stations located in the Central, North, South, and Southeast regions of Texas as well as locations in Southern Alabama, and Florida. The company is owned by Arch "Beaver" Aplin III and Don Wasek and has its headquarters in Lake Jackson, Texas. The chain is known for its very large-format stores and clean restrooms (relative to other convenience stores) and a logo depicting a beaver.
History
Co-Founders Don Wasek and Arch "Beaver" Aplin opened their first store as partners, which is still open as of 2020, in Lake Jackson, Texas, in 1982. Aplin formed the name Buc-ee's by combining his childhood nickname; the name of his Labrador Retriever, Buck; as well as the appeal of Ipana toothpaste's animated mascot, Bucky the beaver. Aplin was born in Southeast Texas, with his father originating from, and grandparents residing in, Harrisonburg, Louisiana.
The second Buc-ee's in the Metroplex opened on May 23, 2016. The store is located in far northern Fort Worth, across the street from Texas Motor Speedway. The third DFW location opened in Denton, Texas, on October 29, 2018.
Buc-ee's broke ground on another North Texas location in Melissa, Texas, on February 5, 2018. The store is located off New Davis Road and U.S. Highway 75. The store is expected to open in February 2019.
In June 2018, Buc-ee's approached landowners in Texarkana, Texas, with interest in acreage off Interstate 30 and State Line Ave., for a future store site. The company has the option to buy the property, but as of yet, has not exercised that option.
In late 2018, Buc-ee's announced a deal with Tooshlights to put special indicator lights in bathrooms to alert customers to which stalls are occupied or not. This is similar to the indicator lights used at some parking facilities that tell drivers which parking spaces are available and which are not. The Katy and Temple Buc-ee's stores would be the first to get the special bathroom indicator lights.

The Buc'ees in New Braunfels is still the Largest at 66,335 Sqft. The Daytona Buc'ees is a little over 55,000 Sqft

It's a super hard, miserable job. No breaks and must stand or walk entire shifts..

It's pretty sad, when, if I ever travelled to the States from down under, my itinerary would include a gas station. The food looks fantastic.

We were on a trip from Ohio to Orlando. We stopped at this exact store about a month before you. Hahah too cool. We were absolutely amazed with all the different things they had.
The biggest gas station in the world is actually a bucees in Texas, but one is being built in Tennessee that will soon be the world's biggest unless they already finished it. But ayyy it's my backyard

If you’re a red velvet lover, the red velvet fudge at Bucees is AMAZING! To me, that will always be my favorite fudge to get at Bucees. Loved the video guys! Being from Texas, I definitely do not take Bucees for granted.

Buc-ee’s opened a location this past June or July 2022 in Crossville Tennessee. Also have locations in Kentucky and South Carolina.

My dad went through the same thing with throat cancer and loss of taste after chemo. It was sad because he loved to eat. He was a small guy but he could put away the food. He eventually recovered some taste, but it took a while. Hope Paul’s recovery continues and he has a full recovery with the ability to taste sweets again. Well wishes from Kansas City.
