I just wanted to say, that islamically speaking there is a difference of opinion between scholars whether a woman can be leader of a whole nation, so its not black and white situation. there are also examples in islamic history where women held positions of leadership such as governors of a particular areas, women were judges were senior scholars of Islam, and people male and females would travel to learn from them.
The point is not about not having a Somali female president, it about having the option to run for the presidency. As long as females have the option, it's all good. It's up to the people to vote in whom ever they want to govern them.
I don't think I really have to go deep into the flaws of the other gentleman's argument that a Somali woman cannot run a country. Let's get started 1. running the house is in my opinion harder than being a prime minister. why? because elections are popularity contests. yeah substance and policies may influence, but it all boils down to who ppl like more. whoever does win the presidency is ultimately a figure head. they do not make decisions by themselves. they have teams of individuals that guide them along the way, plus decades of political history at their disposal. running a household on the other hand, which is done primarily by the Somali female is infinity harder. She has no team of advisors. Every decision, whether good or bad comes back as a reflection on her character and affects the lives of her children forever. If a prime minister fucks up on the other hand, the individual faces no real risk. We simply vote in a new person and the facade of change starts again. 2. That being said, I understand that at this point in time Somali is not ready to have a female president. The U.S is currently facing the possibility of a female president and ppl are losing their shit. 3. It just goes to show how deep and entrenched the patriarchy and sexism lies within our community, even amongst the younger generation.
Is the guy in the glasses not aware that; the most prosperous country in the world is run by a women ( Germany), that the fastest advancing country in Africa is also run my a women (Liberia), Queen Elizabeth expanded the English empire, Malaysia female president turned her countries economy around..etc ? This is not some new trend that has surfaced recent. History as proven that countries lead by women experience great economic, cultural and social growth and a great number of political/social theorist agree that women are more suitable to rule countries than men. The greatest point in modern Somali history was the during the socialist reign, when gender equality was rigorously enforced, we had a strong military, good social foundation, an expanding educated class, it seems that we as a people are regressing . Now the Islam argument. Here we go again with Somalis and their selective religiosity. Islam also states that a men can discipline his wife, but I'm pretty sure that most men ( including myself) would take issue with some one hitting our mothers, sisters or daughters. That argument is nothing but an old world barrier against a modern solution. Somalia has been ruled by gun tooting clan obsessed older men and look what has taken place. To try something new is not only reasonable it's smart. Lastly a society needs counter agents for advancement, being complacent and adhering to the status quo because something is too hard, does nothing but corrode a society.
Mohamed Ahmed exactly it seems those men do not read or write which is scary! They talk without research just opinion which shame when you have a platform
Dear Queen Buuq I love this channel and in no way am I throwing shade, so guys don't tell me to jump off a bridge. lol But, you accidentally spread some very strong misinformation on your channel (in this video) about Muslim women not being allowed to run a country. 1. No where in any reliable Islamic text does it say that a woman aren't fit to run a country 2. Two points to prove my point that Islam isn't against women ruling a country is that Ex.1 When the prophet Suleiman talked to the queen of the nation that worshiped the sun in no way did he question her ability to rule with a vagina, but respected her and convinced her to changed her pagainistic country to one that worships Allah Almighty Ex.2 When the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) was going (dying) he entrusted his beloved daughter Fatima to be the mother of the umma, a role that the prophet stressed in his life time was 3x more important that the fathers.(Allah-> The Prophet->Your Mother 3x-> Your Father) And lastly I understand where you may have heard that from before because as a woman who from a young age took leadership roles and is very outspoken I have heard that from my brothers in Islam and even from my sisters in Islam, especially the older ones. But that is a very hurtful misogynistic lie spread through the Islamic communities to keep woman down and "uplift" men. So, please check your Islamic information before you spread it on your amazing show, or at least have halima on the show to tell yall what's god saying. Thank You, A loyal Subscriber
+Bahja Ali I wasn't throwing shade in the last comment, BUT I AM IN THIS ONE so that old head looking ass bald head can tell me to jump off a bridge all he wants with Thursday because I am coming for him. Fuck you mean you love Somali women because you obviously don't love us enough to respect us. This nigga really had the audacity to say all that bullshit that just came out of his mouth. Literally, felt like fire rushing through my veins as he said all that. You, nigga is what Somalia and the Somali community has enough of, that bullshit ass excuses that women aren't fit to run the country, because our vigians are what got us into this problem in the first place. I, from the top of my mind can not think of one issue in Somalia and in the Somali community that isn't primarily started by our "Somali brothers". While all you dick heads (no disrespect to the real Somali men out there holding it down) are selling dope in Canada, abandoning your own kids all over the world, doing drugs, getting involved in all this bullshit all I see is women raising those kids on their own, making hard worked halal money, and getting their education (like think how many Somali women are getting their education and then think of the amount of Somali men you know getting their fucking education, we out number ya'll). Not saying their aren't Somali women making bad decision because there are, but what's your issue you fucker there wasn't enough women in you life to boost your ego and tell you how good looking you REALLY aren't. FIGHT ME NIGGA.
When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) heard that the people of Persia had appointed the daughter of Chosroes as their ruler, he said: “No people will ever prosper who appoint a woman in charge of their affairs.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (4425).
+True Moussa What I meant was, how would he explain a country like Germany. Which is a economic, military powerhouse and run by a women. In his theory shouldn't Germany be in ruins?
Other thing this my sister she say female can be president that's not easy sister (RAG BAA MESHA JOOGO ALLE NA NAGAMA QAAAADO ) I like the word of my brother mnshalh bro
This is the reason why I think Somali will not find peace, because all what us somali people do is find ways to put each other down, and say "you can't do this you can't do that", but if only we listened to one another and supported each other, then maybe just maybe we would have a Land to go back to and call it Home. We should try new ways and solutions to make our Somalia a better place, because the same old ways isn't working, and the people are losing patience and faith. P.S. I love the channel.
lose hope if you want but Somalia is still a Muslim country. The lady should make a change that would actually matter, cuz president don't make laws not add referendums to the Constitution. It's foolish as Somali women to think change will come by being president, no no no. Change they people that make the laws and people that run the ministries. President is so irrelevant, his duty is to shake hands and make speechs, let's no give him credit he doesn't deserve. President is not the make it or break point.
Yoo, haha, this is juicy stuff man, i wanna dive in & give my two cents! ElJay said: *"Somali females can't rule the country, rag baa meshaa jogaa, there's men there.. Raggaagii mee ? Rag baa mesha jogga, oo wadhaa dowladaa, so let that be the way it is,"* Yaani status quo, leave it be & don't subject it to change, don't evolve, stay stagnant in your ways, is what you're alluding to. Ok, it's your opinion but it doesn't make me not want challenge its ridiculous nature! If your reasoning for not voting for a presidential candidate that's of the opposite sex is because of our tribalistic ways & the pre-determined gender roles within our culture with its societal roles & not on what a person can offer, experience & educational wise, then your sexism (that's culturally embedded btw!) is bordering misogyny bud, watch your words, don't just spew your unedited thoughts, or else you'll soon find yourself backtracking your statements after being exposed for your outright sexist behaviour! Our tribalistic ways shouldn't be an argument, it's an outdated system of governance that relies on the *STATUS* of a person rather than the *MERIT & CALIBRE* of the person, that's just fckin' archaic & backwards! So fck tribal allegiance & fck societal norms, things need to be shaken up , change needs to be brought about & now, a female president with experience & vision would be refreshing from the disastrous track record of leaders we've had since the assassination of President Abdirashid Ali Shermarke! Even if it's what the prophet said, because i've heard of the hadiths in which he said, *" Never will succeed such a nation as makes a woman their ruler."* well, he was wrong, & that shit should be reformed to comply with modern day realities! There have been strong women rulers that have ruled over different nations & they are now in the books of history with respectable/prestigious legacies. Someone's gender should never be the deciding factor!!! Now here are some Women rulers/leaders that have governed nations & are now adored historical figures, just to pick at you a little more! ;) Hatshepsut Queen of Egypt, 15th century B.C Nefertiti Queen of Egypt, 14th Century B.C. Sammuramat Assyrian Queen, 9th Century B.C. Joan of Arc Leader of the French Army, 1412-1431 Catherine de Medici Queen of France, 1519-1589 Mary Queen of Scots 1542-1587 Mbande Nzinga Angolan Queen, 1582-1663 Amina Nigerian Queen, 1560-1610 Catherine the Great Empress of Russia. 1729-1796 Tzu-hsi Empress of China, 1835-1908 Liliuokalani Last Monarch of Hawaii, 1838-1917 Indira Gandhi Prime Minister of India, 1917-1984 Margaret Thatcher Prime Minister of England, b. 1925 Adios amigos. ;)
+Yusuf Omar (Zopdoz) hey, as much as I agree with everything you said, you kind of lost me when you said we should change the Hadith on women not being the rulers of a nation. NO matter what you can not change our religion. please study the hadith and the Quran little more!
hey guys yall r awesome. but the camera need waax yar fixation.because is a bt anoying when the host's hand is on the screen while the boys are talking. but that all love u guyssssssss and more sheeko sheekooooooo
Wow I really love this its first video I watch...I think no problem with women's in power general speaking but when I vote to someone and lets say there is a female I will think first is the people in the country will except that or they need more time to get more modern...second lets say that the people are ok with it and that is no such thing like qabali..and people and the country culture get more modern then what I'm gonna look as a Somali when I vote to someone is not his gender but the agenda that he wants to do what is his program and the things that he/she wants to achieve to the country and is he/she really are the right person to this position..and I hope u don't mix some problems or prospective that is real in the country u live in with the problems the Somalia has...I like the channel thx u so much ...Abdullah Somali lives in Saudi Arabia
A real man is not afraid of a women's power, but weak men is so Iman do not waist your time with ignorant Somali man love you by the way stay the way you are.
Not going to lie you guys have stepped up in production and different guests who offer different opinions even though I don't agree with whats being said. Subscribe abahin wasa :)
"Never will succeed such a nation as lets their affairs carried out by a woman." (Bukhari, Maghazi, 82, Fitan, 18; Tirmidhi, Fitan, 75; Nasai, Qudat, 8; Ahmad b. Hanbal, V, 43, 51, 38, 47).
Are the people in Somalia Muslims? Exhibit #1 It was narrated that Abu Bakrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) heard that the people of Persia had appointed the daughter of Chosroes as their ruler, he said: “No people will ever prosper who appoint a woman in charge of their affairs.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (4425).
I understand that everyone has their own opinion and are fully entitled to it but do we need to express it using foul language. Surely we are more intelligent then that! A rebuttle doesn't mean diss the other person but rather prove him wrong using facts without cussing his character and using disgusting words and terms to explain oneself. We as Somalis are strong and opinionated people but why do we have to go down as such levels to get our view across. This is why we have nationalism and tribalism! I have watched the ClapOut episode too and was just disappointed. you guys are intelligent people mashaAllah and have a lot to say about so many things which is great but please let there be some sort of regulation on the language that can be used to express ones view. Thank u very much! Much love from UK. xx
loooooooool you guys cracked me up especially the guy with glasses he had a point islamically she can't. Mashallah Iman is stunning. ...You all rock. I support you wholeheartedly.
the guy who says woman ain't gonna rule me is legend and i'm not saying that disrespectifuly this what islamic teaching teachs us and if you somalians are not good just ask yourself why americans even have never had female president . they know how tough they we'll be doing guys all women was created to be soft and kind but not to rule
On the authority of Tamim Al-Dari (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The religion is naseehah (sincerity)." We said, "To whom?"He (peace be upon him) said, "To Allah, His Book, His Messenger, and to the leaders of the Muslims and their common folk." [Muslim]
I hate to agree with this guy... so I won't but I do understand that women and men have an understanding between them. natural affections mean different things to different people. I like this show. it seems to be portraying real sentiment instead of pushing "wares". if the industry so to speak would keep it real like this black americans would make real social progress. like the difference between quick and slow weight loss. I personally would support a woman president if she were from the right tribe and had the support of neighboring clan warlords. a pretty good tall order.
Well done guys in two or alittlile bit more hours i watched all the self hate ,the abortion and Somali youths maatres i liked the discussion and i prefer the panel not to curse and keep using the F word
The dude on the left made an amazing pointer on wheter people would even listen to a female president, the most qualified person is not neccesarily the best, eman has good ideas but needs to debate the idea rather than attacking the person, open mindedness overused can lead to people having losing the ability to think fells like, Eljay is an OG for sticking to traditonal values
I say the women cannot be president in Somalia coze Somalia its the country that have One religion One language And One culture I mean we a Muslim country and we follow the road of the prophet..
Somalia was very successful when said barre sheik Abdullah Hassan etc were running it. Listen to saado ali songs about having the tribes working together Somalia failed not because a man or a woman was running or will run it but because tribe failed us
I'm feminist and will definitely vote for female president.. why not? I agree with Iman.. I was just as irritated as iman.. I believe men and women should get same equality and stop discriminating gender.. it doesn't make any sense to not vote for woman just because she is woman, like WTH? we are in 2016 for god sake... ya la yasin gabdhaha let's empower them..
I wouldn't vote for a Somali female to be ruling our govt because went it comes down to bloodshed and standing up for somalia, i dont think she'll have the heart to withstand it
+sameera O.ibrahim A women would not be strong enough to not whore herself out to other countries, in Islam it is writing that a women will always pick the apple over her fellow countrymen
+DigitalBlasphemyify that's a disgusting comment to make about women. Your basically implying women have no self control?? what about female presidents in other countries such as Germany?? or do this only apply to somali women since we apparently have no capabilities besides childrearing??
+kiwii 101 First of all, 1:Women in general are more willing to accept anajabis and jareers that will destroy the Somali "tribe", Somali women in particular have shown their willingness to sellout to other races such as Jareers for next to nothing. 2:Female leadership does not work in the third world let along a country that barely came out of a two decade civil war. The only reason it is working in Germany is because those institutions and social programs were already in place when she came into leadership so it's easy to say Angela Merkal is great.
Nepotism is hurting Somalis, we should consider qualifications, what agenda the candidate is putting forth, and weather this individual will unite the citizens. As to a female presidential candidate the system in place would not allow it, as elders are in control of Somalia and somaliland, on top of that the clan system is in place which I'm totally against. IT would be a breath of fresh air to have a female presidential candidate , there are African countries who have had female presidents. BUT we're Muslim and we must ask ourselves what did the prophet say as to females being leaders.
what the prophet pbuh said can be questioned , it is 2016 after all. Allah has given us a mind to think for ourselves and educate ourselves. i truly believe that education will fix most of the issues in somalia/somaliland/djibouti etc
+Umalkhayr Elmi Hurayrah Abdur’Rahman ibn Sakhr (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying”: “What I have forbidden you, stay away from. What I have ordered you to do, do as much of it as you can. Verily, the people before you were destroyed only because of their excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their prophets”. Reported in Bukhari and Muslim Your allowed to think and make decisions but there are consequences but questioning the prophets of allah I disagree with that.
+Umalkhayr Elmi abuaminaelias.com/can-women-take-positions-of-leadership-and-authority-in-islam/ This would make it clear hopefully, you may read the rest on the website. Asalamualaykuum the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful It is permissible for a woman to be an authority and leader in a position for which she is qualified, although some positions are specific only to men such as the position of prayer leader and supreme commander of the armed forces. Some classical scholars prohibited women from taking positions of authority and leadership based upon the statement of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him:
Women can be president.. Now i am 18yr old and ma dream to become first somali women president one day my dream is become true and these idiots they couldn't say any word about women beoze i am a president insha allah don't forget me if you read this message i am your future president... girls never give up you can do whatever you want in this world there is no word named in impossible in my dictionary no more words Do do do you can do it 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪 insha allah
if prophet Mohamed (scw)can work under the management of Qadija (ra) who are you Somali men?
she managed her own business not leading a country. lets get it right
@@mohamedalassow3537 He worked for her so he was under management and he didn't leave or refuse because she's a woman.
@@hannasharaf5459 the prophet saw said a woman can not lead a country. What can you honestly say to that ? This is fact not my opinion.
The problem is you view everything even Islamic issues through a western imperical lense

I love this channel and in no way am I throwing shade, so guys don't tell me to jump off a bridge. lol But, you accidentally spread some very strong misinformation on your channel (in this video) about Muslim women not being allowed to run a country.
Thank You,
A loyal Subscriber
I love you ..
Respect to LJ I respect your opinion bro and Agree with you👍
I'm not somali,but I love your show!
Really ? Shit thats fucked up
+Gure Omar Germany?
Mohamed Ahmed no .. canada
+True Moussa What I meant was, how would he explain a country like Germany. Which is a economic, military powerhouse and run by a women. In his theory shouldn't Germany be in ruins?
Which is why Quran Alone!!!
i liked the work you're doing guyz. subscribed!
omg where are yall at I wanna visit the studio
Other thing this my sister she say female can be president that's not easy sister (RAG BAA MESHA JOOGO ALLE NA NAGAMA QAAAADO ) I like the word of my brother mnshalh bro
Somalis can't state their opinion without losing control.
Rag baa mesha jogga, oo wadhaa dowladaa, so let that be the way it is,"*
Yaani status quo, leave it be & don't subject it to change, don't evolve, stay stagnant in your ways, is what you're alluding to.
Now here are some Women rulers/leaders that have governed nations & are now adored historical figures, just to pick at you a little more! ;)

"Never will succeed such a nation as lets their affairs carried out by a woman." (Bukhari, Maghazi, 82, Fitan, 18; Tirmidhi, Fitan, 75; Nasai, Qudat, 8; Ahmad b. Hanbal, V, 43, 51, 38, 47).
ABDULLAH ABDURHAMAN fuck your backwards ass misogynistic religion
Lol so far it is only men who ruled Arab and Muslim world and in Somalia and it is a failure. Weak fabricated Hadith
@@aminaa7909 becareful of what you say bukhari is one of the strongest and authentic hadith. If you deny hadith you may become a non believer.

Amina Ahmed

Danny Jamison
Just because your an adult don't mean you can talk like a ratchet. What happened to having class
Are the people in Somalia Muslims?
Exhibit #1
It was narrated that Abu Bakrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) heard that the people of Persia had appointed the daughter of Chosroes as their ruler, he said: “No people will ever prosper who appoint a woman in charge of their affairs.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (4425).
We love you Queen BooQ! Can you make a episode every week!
Much love from UK. xx
Hello my young Somali's I am proud of you keep the good work.
hahahah im one of those who watches but never subscribes lol but I just subscribed!
loooooooool you guys cracked me up especially the guy with glasses he had a point islamically she can't. Mashallah Iman is stunning. ...You all rock. I support you wholeheartedly.
islamically? LOL how
Waryaa Samatar, what are THOOOOOOSEEEEE
the guy who says woman ain't gonna rule me is legend and i'm not saying that disrespectifuly this what islamic teaching teachs us and if you somalians are not good just ask yourself why americans even have never had female president . they know how tough they we'll be doing guys all women was created to be soft and kind but not to rule
On the authority of Tamim Al-Dari (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The religion is naseehah (sincerity)." We said, "To whom?"He (peace be upon him) said, "To Allah, His Book, His Messenger, and to the leaders of the Muslims and their common folk."
[Muslim]
Loooool eljay went in 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 shots were fired for sure.
how come we cant see qween buqq
All i would say iman you just made me sub 💖
"No woman gunna rule me" lmao 😂 this man old fashioned asf
"For women? I ain't gonna listen to no women, no woman gonna rule me!" LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL SAVAGE! Dude killed me, he's a legend!
Just Messi He will let a man rule him though and rule his butt hole
I thought he was being sarcastic for a minute…
The dude on the left made an amazing pointer on wheter people would even listen to a female president, the most qualified person is not neccesarily the best, eman has good ideas but needs to debate the idea rather than attacking the person, open mindedness overused can lead to people having losing the ability to think fells like, Eljay is an OG for sticking to traditonal values
I say the women cannot be president in Somalia coze Somalia its the country that have One religion One language And One culture I mean we a Muslim country and we follow the road of the prophet..
no one will fix a country that turned it's bak on god
Somalia was very successful when said barre sheik Abdullah Hassan etc were running it. Listen to saado ali songs about having the tribes working together Somalia failed not because a man or a woman was running or will run it but because tribe failed us
Iman makes this show great 👌🏻
Hahahah El Jay is a savage 😂😂👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I'm feminist and will definitely vote for female president.. why not? I agree with Iman.. I was just as irritated as iman.. I believe men and women should get same equality and stop discriminating gender.. it doesn't make any sense to not vote for woman just because she is woman, like WTH? we are in 2016 for god sake... ya la yasin gabdhaha let's empower them..
Wats that song called
I wouldn't vote for a Somali female to be ruling our govt because went it comes down to bloodshed and standing up for somalia,
i dont think she'll have the heart to withstand it
LMFAO. THIS MAN SAID "DONT SPEAK. LET ME TALK." LMFAOOOOOOOOOO.
😭😭😭😭 the man said no straight faced
+Yaqoub Hussein he waited patiently whilst she talked about "'Thursday'" and when she finished he dropped a bomb on her
I actually agree with Eljay and Thursday but my reasons are way different than them
+sameera O.ibrahim A women would not be strong enough to not whore herself out to other countries, in Islam it is writing that a women will always pick the apple over her fellow countrymen
I wonder what happened to them?
yes her name is Halima
It's true brother I do agree with your opinion
+Umalkhayr Elmi point taken
+Umalkhayr Elmi Hurayrah Abdur’Rahman ibn Sakhr (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying”: “What I have forbidden you, stay away from. What I have ordered you to do, do as much of it as you can. Verily, the people before you were destroyed only because of their excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their prophets”.
Reported in Bukhari and Muslim
Your allowed to think and make decisions but there are consequences but questioning the prophets of allah I disagree with that.
+Umalkhayr Elmi abuaminaelias.com/can-women-take-positions-of-leadership-and-authority-in-islam/
This would make it clear hopefully, you may read the rest on the website. Asalamualaykuum
the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
It is permissible for a woman to be an authority and leader in a position for which she is qualified, although some positions are specific only to men such as the position of prayer leader and supreme commander of the armed forces.
Some classical scholars prohibited women from taking positions of authority and leadership based upon the statement of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him:
iman looks like fanny neguisha
More like Fanny looks like her. Iman hasnt had any plastic surgery done, Fanny has
Women can be president..
