A women can attain the same degree in closeness to Allah and even higher , then there men counterpart being a simple house-maker. In terms of intellectual equality , women are know to have been equal and even surpass men , Aisha (Ra) our mothher, were it not for her 2/3 of the hadiths relating to religious rulings would not have been preserved. Somalia isn't ready for a female president. Leadership requires the support of: the voting class, the influencers (media heads, business leaders, institutions etc) & the real power (military, financiers & regional heads). The problem is that even if a female candidate had plenty of support from the people, the real power is dominated by men of tradition. Men who more often than not, fail to appreciate the feminine struggle. Women are no less capable than men. It's the ideology that needs changing. Change first occurs with ideas. Videos such as these challenge the status quo. Congratulations.

She spends a minute calming people down or telling them to allow the other to respond when the loudest individual and the one who goes on is herself. This is a pattern in almost every video SheekoSheeko has uploaded; the host should not be part of the discussion and yet I come away from each debate with the sound of her voice being the most memorable. If the host wants to take part, please do. But give the position to someone else - someone who can ask open ended questions, ask for silence, without taking 30 seconds. I immensely disagree with Thursday but Iman has failed in articulating her points.. Instead of actually having a rational debate, she turned to hurling insults at the guy. You should bring someone on the show who would put across their stance in a rational manner and although I understand it was heated, her insults done nothing to make the caller understand her point and in turn her whole argument was pointless. Further, she had no argument. Please represent us better (feminists).
Somalia isn't ready for a female president. Leadership requires the support of: the voting class, the influencers (media heads, business leaders, institutions etc) & the real power (military, financiers & regional heads). The problem is that even if a female candidate had plenty of support from the people, the real power is dominated by men of tradition. Men who more often than not, fail to appreciate the feminine struggle. Women are no less capable than men. It's the ideology that needs changing. Change first occurs with ideas. Videos such as these challenge the status quo. Congratulations.
The scariest part is that the girl is not aware of what Islam says about women ruling a country or congregational prayer. Not only her even the guy has no reference and its just his opinion. Neither of them have opinions based on their culture nor Deen… which is really sad.
I'm going to make several points through a couple of posts.
Firstly, the host talks too much. It takes her almost a minute to direct Emaan to respond to Thursday at the start. She spends a minute calming people down or telling them to allow the other to respond when the loudest individual and the one who goes on is herself. This is a pattern in almost every video SheekoSheeko has uploaded; the host should not be part of the discussion and yet I come away from each debate with the sound of her voice being the most memorable.
If the host wants to take part, please do. But give the position to someone else - someone who can ask open ended questions, ask for silence, without taking 30 seconds. It is obvious that she is opinionated, and whilst I'd like to hear her views, I don't want it done this way.
You have such great ideas ..you should star your own channel ..you make it seem so easy...

Thursday isn't "against women" i get that. However, he doesn't put women on the same level as men. In a way that feels like betrayal. It hurts to hear that despite having the same intelligence, respectability and leadership skills we are still judged by the difference in gender. Im sure this cycle of male dominance in our culture will continue with people like Thursday still around.
This is exactly why Islam was brought to the people, to stop the mistreatment of ALL of Allah's creations including Women. Even though i am a female myself, i wouldn't vote for a female to rule a nation only because of religion reasons. The way Thrusday came across was not called for and his point was not from a religion perspective so to the heck with him.
Just because a woman can't rule doesn't mean a woman can't hold a higher position than a man. Khadija RadiaAllahu 'anha was a business woman and men were working for her so yeah a woman can be in a higher position than a man.
Also when the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم was in a certain situation which required advice, would he go to the sahaba or Khadija? He would go to Khadija and ask for her advice.
So to all the men out there who is still stuck to the ideology of women being inferior to them need to wake up from their ignorance and accept that women ARE not lower than them. Wallahi is p*ss taking when men talk as if women are nothing and they can't be decision makers.
