Chrysler Aspens are nice as hell!!! Especially for them to cost wayyy cheaper than an Escalade and Navigator when they were brand new from 2007-2009!!! And plus you get a HEMI V8 with it too!!! (Ultimate Modern Mopar Muscle Power) Great Engine Platform for all kinds of power adders and other modifications to make that HEMI juice out some extra Horsepower!!!
@@TKsGarage Sure can't wait to see more of it! I'm actually in the market for one of these as my daily driver and to haul around my SRT8 Chrysler 300's (First and Second Generation Models, very rare) around to big Car Shows and Drag Strips events to race!!!
I had a Jeep commander with the 5.7. (jeeps Durango)as my first car. Mom Bought it at dealer auction. Found out later it needed a ton of work. They traded us in for a low mileage 05 LeSabre. Which they didn't have to cuz it was an auction truck but they was a solidly good dealership. But the truck was nice the few days I drove it lol
Hey TK i don't know if the Aspen has the problem but you might look in to getting the windshield wiper cowl. They usually cause the engines to hydrolock in the rain happened to my 04 Durango hemi.
I currently have the 2007 Aspen limited with the 5.7 Hemi. I currently have 162000 plus miles on her. I bought it in 2011 with 64000 miles . It now has some electrical issues which can easily be sorted out when I get the chance, but that motor and transmission Is crazy strong. As you see it has high miles and im at the crossroad weather should I buy another used aspen or buy another vehicle should my bank completely fail. The vehicle is reliable and I feel very safe in it. Because of my work there were times I had to push the engine in emergent situations. You take of it, it will take care of you is my experience with this baby.
I have one of these and I love it. However, my suspension starting getting rough around 75k. I have the 20" rims (stock) so I know I should expect a 'rougher' ride with a lower profile tire. Like I said though, it got noticeably more rough. I have had new shocks and Michelin tires without a difference. Also, I had the suspension inspected and it looks good. I am hoping, since you rebuilt your front, you have some words of wisdom concerning the suspension. Thanks.
The front suspension on these is called torsion bar suspension. Basically it's a thick flexible bar that is twisted (hence torsion) and because it's twisted, it provide preload and spring back effect. For that reason these trucks don't use springs. Only a shock with the torsion rod. The suspension is good for the life of the vehicle, and only needs adjusting from time to time. There is a bolt that provides adjustment to the preload of the torsion rod at the front knuckles. Tweak that, and try to find your happy medium.
Nice job TK. How much total do you have in the Aspen ? As long as you can work on your own stuff it doesn't matter you own. people who have to pay someone to do everything that's another story. Looking forward to more videos. Thanks for sharing.👍💥💥💯
Thanks for this! I own a 2007 Aspen fully loaded 5.7 4x4 with 300k miles. My wife loves this truck! She wants to keep forever. I need a donor vehicle for body panels. Would love low miles, mechanical disaster, ok, but must be rust free with straight body. Would you help me find one? I would be happy to pay all fees.
Water pump over 100k miles, fuel pump around 125k, thermostats every 80k or so. It’s a very reliable truck if you stay on top of the oil changes and run synthetic.
She runs strong too! Solid vehicle.
Made it all the way here doing 80 all day lol
I have a 2007 Aspen w 112K miles. Love it! Just put on ceramic coating on the black paint with tinted windows. Looks and runs great. Zero problems.

The column shifter really helps with that truck feel. Kind of sad how GM is the only one left with them on large SUV’s
