  • We show you how to #RadioRemoval from a 2022 1/2 to 2023 Chevy Silverado. Our professional dismantler Charlie walks you through it.
Dismantling vehicles in a professional Auto Recyling facility is not what it was in the past. You are working with very expensive parts that are easy to break. Watch for the blooper at the end which is funny now that we look back at it but also shows how easy it is for bad things to happen that cost money. Have you done one? Leave your comments and tips below. #autorepair #silverado

Are you able to show how to get into the dash like this for a 2023/2024 Denali trim level?

Would be sweet to see the new ones with the angled Heat/A.C. setup. Looks even more complicated than this one

Do you think I can swap out my whole dash to one of these new ones I got. 2022 Silverado but with the older interior ?

They have a large number of differences. We have seen many amazing people perform swaps on just about anything, but it would be a huge job.

I have the same question, if you guys can do it I’m willing to pay for it. My truck is a 2020 payed off so if it cost 4-5 k to upgrade rather do that than buy a new one

Is it possible to add dash speakers? I looked under dash not pre wired

It would have to be custom. They usually are in the side post pillars

Thanks found a black plug at top of pillar. Maybe that's it

Any chance you have a video on replacing a HUD unit on 2024 2500HD? Mine is clicking and making noise when it gets warm outside. A gear or motor is clicking

Do you have a video for those switches under the infotainment screen? If i have a blank switch, can i hook up a light bar or winch to it?

They should be good it because there all failing. I bought two Silverados two weeks ago. Both have radio volume issues and truth is GM doesn’t know why.

Why did this need to be removed from a one yo vehicle??

Salvaging parts from a vehicle that was wrecked or take off the road for some other reason. Note the airbag is out of it already

Great question and actually it has almost no miles. We are a progressional Auto Recycler that dismantles vehicles from a few days old to a couple decades. Some are heavily damaged while others are less damaged. Our job is to save as many parts for reuse without breaking them as possible so others can benefit from the price savings if the almost new in some cases, used parts. Thanks for watching. We also do the radio show that’s on this channel.

Good luck with that. I'm trying to put in dash cam. No one wants to do it. 3 prong fuses no 12 volt in the dash.. never buy new again

They make quick plug in harnesses for accessory power for all these new vehicles. Just unplug certain harnesses and plug in the accessory jumpers. Easy to search and buy online.

Ok that is helpfull. Does he have a good spot where a 12v outlet could be installed for higher power usb charging. Like in the pocket behind the screen?

    • @UnderTheHoodShow
      @UnderTheHoodShow  9 месяцев назад +1

There is not much room behind the pocket for a large socket, but a smaller high power USB port may fit there.

When we have done that we use a magnetic pick up tool with the magnet attached to the end of a long wire. IF… what we drop is magnetic. Otherwise it has to come completely apart.
