Cool stuff! Clarice Cliff is a fascinating person. After working for Royal Staffordshire, she started working on her own in the 1920s-30s. Those pieces are valuable. It is worth Googling her just to read about her "scandalous," modern life. ❤

I love little trinkets and sit around stuff but I hate to dust! I think doing seasonal stuff might be my new thing because i can clean it and put it away and rotate stuff. I like how you do that and never seem to have a mess or dust.

I absolutely love your hutch display and your Polish pottery display. It is all beautiful. If I lived in America, I would do the same as Sue. I have so many things that I love, but I am getting old, everything is so crowded and it is becoming a little bit too much to look after. You would be the perfect person to donate my treasures to. I hate to say it, but I don’t think my children would appreciate a lot of it though, my daughter-in-law has assured me everything will be cared for and go to those who love it. Oh, goodness, I would love to find Clarice Cliff! Transfer ware isn’t what I would want from her, but believe me, if I found it I’d get it, anything from Clarice Cliff. When you have an opportunity, Google her, it didn’t seem like you know about her, some of her pieces can go for thousands, especially, sets. I just love her whimsical pieces. ✌🏼❤️
Nicole, I've been thinking of you and your family after seeing about Mankato and the dam that is in danger of collapsing .
If you want to remove the name on the book, IF it is a sealed surface.. If written in Sharpie, get a Dry Erase marker & a soft Paper towel. ( like Viva). ~ Go over the letters one at a time & Immediately wipe with towel while still wet.. This works to remove Sharpie on sealed (Shiny) surfaces..
Saw a news report that Minneapolis is flooding and immediately thought of you. Not sure exactly where you are but just hoping you and family are safe and not flooded.
The bone dish matches the blue Tonquin pattern pitcher you have on top of your hutch - I remember because I have the blue Tonquin, as well. What a gorgeous Polish pottery bowl!! How kind of Sue to give you such beautiful things.
Nicole, firstly you are looking absolutely lovely in blue, this colour suits you so much, you should wear it more often 😍Secondly, I love your passion for the Polish Pottery, as I am Polish myself and it holds a special place in my heart. I have a few unusual pieces myself. You might be able to get the name off the book with a cotton ball of rubbing alcohol. Test carefully.😬

I know absolutely nothing about plants, gardening, etc. Always lived in tiny apts. However, I was curious, what is the reason to put marbles inside a container/pot where you put a plant in above it? You put the marbles in first, then a lot of soil and then a plant above that? No one I know is into plants, gardening and live in rented rooms or tiny apts.
Hi! This only works with succulents (a certain type of plant with a lot of moisture in their leaves) because they don’t need a lot of water and so they don’t need a lot of drainage so you can use containers without a hole in the bottom. So you can do rocks or marbles, dirt, and then the plant and then water infrequently :) Great question!
