we've added brass everything and then the shock keys so you can adjust the angle of the shocks and get more articulation. that helped alot. also wider hexes to give it a little bit wider stance. this thing rolls over alot
I'm enjoying my Bronco for sure! Already added aluminum links/orange and Traxxas chrome beadlocks with MT tires and wheel weights in the front. I did order an received hardened outdrives along with aluminum front and rear axcels. I also purchased an aluminum servo mount from Traxxas. I never planned to do all that, but I did...want the light kit and trailer.
Spot on man. I went to buy one this past Monday … until I saw the prices of the upgrades! $70 for anodized links! 😮🤦♂️ Ridiculous. Almost half the price of the truck. Nah … pass … bought a new lipo for my 1/10th and went home.
I don't really have the experience to make an educated statement - but I am starting to wonder how much cheaper these small crawlers compared to 1:10 scale actually are after one has made all the relevant performance updates. Still, love what performance and realism this little car can deliver.
I have 6 1/24, they are all pushing the $400cnd mark after upgrades. My 1/10 losi night crawler was just under $300cnd and just a new set of wheels and tires was $150. So there’s still a big price difference. Also there’s the fact that you can drive these little ones indoors a lot easier. Which is great for us up north.
Until steel gears more power more breaking I bought links driveshaft and cups plus fast Eddie bearings but haven't installed anything yet lol it drives so well stock
Links and driveshafts are not the first one should get for performance. Crawler gears and a bearing set is all these need. Leave as much plastic as possible unless you’re competing
The key for crawling especially for scaled crawlers is the weight and not the performance parts. The more weight the better grip no matter what so a cheap way of making it better is just put magnets on the chassis
I went into my local hobby store to look at the 1/18 scale rigs . They only had the Capra . I didn’t want a buggy. They stated guys we had the TRX4M but there for pre orders. I went on home. 1/2 hour later I received a call from the hobby shop. We have a TRX4M we can sell you. I went down bought it. Nice surprise it’s $100.00 than the 1/18 scale Capra. I ended up spending and additional $50.00 on Traxxas bead lock rims ( inexpensive) and weights( expensive). I have even driven yet and already modifying. Ugh
I've gotten carried away with it already. I've never enjoyed working on rc until now. I also purchased a magnifying tool that is worn like a headband. Helps with my old eyes.
I have to be completely honest, you may have to switch to the crawler gear set, because while you may have praising the truck as having "smooth" and "precise" drivability, it looked very jerky and on the edge of disaster going up that log. Was that you? Or does it not have the ability to maintain a very slow smooth throttle?
I thought my first 10th scale was going to be a Traxxas, but after upgrading to bearings and finding no improvement to the steering binding problems this will be my last Traxxas product. No power, binds up when trying to turn AT ALL, and all of the oil leaked out of my shocks in under a month. Steer clear of this and stick with FMS and Axial. Could always buy the Bronco or Defender body for forty bucks and fit it to a different chassis, which is what I will be doing with my Defender body. Traxxas will be sitting on the shelf.
So... you buy the thing for cheap but you gotta put another $400 in to make it something decent? I have a brand new one that will sit on the shelf. Money has to go to something more worthy
Hello. I've done a lot to my trx4m. Wish I could send u a pick I just fit a custom radio shack body to mine. Its hard plastic and a none license Ford body. It's definitely a 79 dent that I had to cut in half and remove a section and glue the body back together to fit the wheelbase properly. I can not fit a bigger and wider tire under the rig and there is no tire rub. Find me on messenger and I'll be able to send u wat I've done so far. It started life off as a defender then went to a pick up truck bronco conversion and now it's a short bed 79 f150 pickup truck
The drag brake works if you put it into crawler mode. Hold down the button on the ESC until it blinks twice, or three times. It's in the book. 🙂
Hold button until red light blinks 3 times full crawler mode and dive break I have a video on my site showing the difference
The driveshafts are $23 from injora and eliminates the o ring problem on the plastic ones , looks better and adds a bit of weight

I'm loving my blue bronco , with new tires and some weight it's a little beast !

I used a drill and drilled out the center of the wheel weights and mine works fine...
cool upgrades and run
I was negative at the time but I’ve now bought one and have changed the driveshafts and added hub extensions 🇬🇧
Nice! Did you use Traxxas parts or Injora? RCAWD?
@@10thScaleGarage injora for both . I’m also thinking of the furitek combo

@@garethhuwwilliams6019 all good points
Can you provide more info for the wheel and tires used in this upgrade?
May as well put sweet beadlocks on,I also noticed you used that sweet traxxas tool kit on it,nice touch lol
I'm liking the TRX4M.just over priced here in the UK £179
If it makes you feel any better, it’s $210 in Canada 😢
@@ryand4786 yea does a little lol

should've covered the o rings on the driveshafts with heatshrink installing them
Looks A LOT BETTER with the steel wheels.. lol
Enjoy the weekend

Im gonna try some stick on wheel weights from 1:1 scale cars lol
Good evening brother cool channel nice car
I got the wheel weights in no problem
Hobbywing made a TINY little brushless motor. Idk if it would fit this but if it would that would be cool.
Nice video
Awesome video. I know you havent had the TRX4M very long but do you like it or SCX24 better so far? 🤘
Trx4M is better 💯
Really nice car
I need to know where you got that tool kit. Would you please tell me.
that ac is blasting
I have those injora mud tires and steel wheels. They are grippy..(scx24)
Where u get the trailer hitch at I need one
What mode did you test in? Sport, trail, or crawl?
Phil’s hobby shop! Must be from NE Indiana ?
Close. Northwest Ohio.
What tires are those? Got a link by chance?
Oh very creacy 😊😊😊😊

@@10thScaleGarage yeah, me too.
Does your vape not leak laying down?
traxxas crap 60 for drive shafts nope.that more than my atv drive shaft was not long ago ..cool video Merry Christmas be bless
The trailer needs a pintle hitch. The ball just pops ofd
why is it dumb with no switch if its not good to leave the battery plugged in... its actually smart.

I got my bronco just today it’s a nice red and I do support #blackwheelsmatter
Black wheels matter?? Cmon man!!
50$ links in a 150$ car? Come on man. Has anyone ever broke a link? Just drill the rim out. The scx size just strips out 2mm nuts

Fender delete for sure.
You bought the wrong parts and they didn't fit.
Wow.
Groundbreaking.
🤣🤣🤣BWM
Second
It’s not worth the money for me, you shouldn’t need to upgrade any of these rc cars.
I do want the trx-4 1:10 scale, the price is holding me back
First
really small haha
That’s me.
