every driver has their own style, and a lot depends on the setup and performance of the car

It is a basic racing principle to use all the road available, Massa doesn't and has to compensate by making a sharper path through the corner, which always costs time. He smoothed out his style a lot over the next few years, but this was a really poor lap.
