Wish I knew about this a little sooner. I've been playing a kit like that for a couple of years now, and I had to use Pearl's jungle kit adapter to make it all work. I had to drill holes in my floor tom, and ditch the rack tom altogether. On the bright side, limitations do encourage creativity.
Cool video . I use my "big" drums in small places and I've , or the band , have never been fired . All I did was....LEARNED TO PLAY QUIETLY . Yes it can be done . I get lots of compliments from club owners ..and other drummers ..for being able to still push the band and play with dynamics and still keep the volume down . It can be done without modifying anything or using "special heads" or stick or cymbals ...or spending any money at all . Just woodshed....
I couldnt imagine that i can change my big drum set into this baby, same kit but allows you to play in those little cafes or samll clubs. Good Idea guys!!. Saludos desde mexico!
Great product! I am interested in purchasing this. I have a 1998 Ludwig Rocker series. I’m not the sure the diameter of the floor tom legs. Would you happen to know which of the 2 sizes would work with my Ludwig floor tom? Thanks!
This looks amazing to play at the street without buying a jungle kit!! I'm thinking that a boom cymbal stand with a SC-GCA could hold a ride and a crash in one stand without any problem
This exposes my singular gripe about Yamaha's YESS mounts. All of these funky gadgets for building a minimal kit that flop due to L-arm incompatibility.
I´d love to see you playing drums, Tried to find videos of you playingm but nothing,.. Saludos! (or maybe some little demonstrations of the drummers using the racks and stuff that you build for them)
Is it possible to order just the component on top for mounting the 10" tom onto the converted kick? I've already put spurs on the drum, but I need a way to mount a drum on an 10.5" L-rod onto the little converted kick.
Thanks for responding. Do you think I could find a way to use an SC-PLRA along with a plain a 12.7 mm L-rod to accomplish the same thing? I'm picturing the 12.7 mm L-rod in the converted floor-tom's extra leg-thing, connecting the SC-PLRA to that L-rod, and then a small tom connected to the L-rod from SC-PLRA.
David Epstein that could work. You should use a memory lock with the L rod mounting to the floor tom leg bracket. It will prevent the weight of the tom from causing the L rod to slip, and damaging your floor tom
What is the maximum depth for the Dunnett tom mount to go on top of the converted floor tom? I have a 12 (diameter) x 11 (depth) tom that may be perfect for this kind of conversion.
Hi just a question, I love your products but i find it such a pain to find them in the uk why is this? P.S. I'm talking about things like custom rack components or sort of niche products thanks!
MBUKMAN Yea, this is definitely the case pretty much everywhere. Even the biggest music stores will typically only have a couple most high demand Gibraltar stuff, given how much weird and obscure (but useful of course!) equipment they make. But any store worth its salt will be willing to order something in for you. Try to write down the serial number before you go in just in case. We all know how loopy those can get.
+MBUKMAN You can thank Fender for the mess they made of distribution in the UK and Europe. Fortunately GEWA is now the distributor for Gibraltar branded Dunnett R Class components in Europe and I hope that makes my products more accessible for drummers there. If not, you can certainly order Dunnett branded R Class componets from any Dunnett Classic dealer in the US - and they will likely cost the same, even with shipping. I hope that helps.
GibraltarDIY And isn't it great that there's ZERO information about these mounts on Dunnett's website? Especially the mount's that Gergo Borlai used on Drumeo to make a floor tom out of a Broadkaster bass drum.
Crimson Sunrise Hello, These are Dunnett licensed products carried by Gibraltar. Here is a link to our Dunnett gear. You can see everything we have to offer. www.gibraltarhardware.com/index.cfm?fa=partsmain&curcat=1&bnd=11&cid=130
Crimson Sunrise Hi, these are the Dunnett Conversion kits that we offer. Gergo is not a Gibraltar artist. Do you have a twitter or FB account that you can Direct message us at so we can get you some other options? 😃
GibraltarDIY His name is Gergo, not Greg. He's a Hungarian drummer of relative fame. He even has a signature snare drum made by Dunnett: memphisdrumshop.com/dunnett-classic-14-x-65-gergo-borlai-desig2nate-bronze-snare-drum-65142n-gb Unfortunately, I don't have a Twitter or Facebook account anymore as of late. I was just interested in knowing about the mount in question and comparing it with the Ludwig Atlas mount.
Crimson Sunrise Sorry, Autocorrect. I know Gergo and have worked with him many times. 😀 Please give me an email & I can email you direct with some other options if you like. Cheers.
I like how you guys always improvise and make a thousand things with the same gear!

I have a Yamaha stage custom and it has the YESS mounting system how would that work with this rack
It won't.... Better buy legs and spurs, drill your drum and install them...
Awesome package!!!!....is there something like that for "floating floor toms"???
that´s a great product, how much is it?
And will I be able to buy it in Germany?
Kleincordy We do not give direct pricing. If you contact one of our dealers they can order it and obtain the best pricing for you.
So I will be able to buy it in Germany?
That´s great
Yes, but the dealer may not have it in stock.
I´d love to see you playing drums, Tried to find videos of you playingm but nothing,.. Saludos! (or maybe some little demonstrations of the drummers using the racks and stuff that you build for them)
I've got the pearl conversion system, it works very good too, but the gibraltar/dunnett looks very better
This is actually awesome.
That's...actually pretty nifty! Another cool thing from Gibraltar \m/

David Epstein I’m sorry but we do not offer the rail mount attachment separately from the conversion kit.

Hello, I need to know which kit I should buy if the Sc gck 12 or the Sc gck 10. I have a premier drums "cabría" Thank you!
Clever and innovative. Very cool product

Thanks for this great video Brent.
Have same kit...lts a Beast.
how does this work when you have Yamaha drums with the YESS tom mounts?😬🤔
Matthias Knorr unfortunately the rack tom L arm will not work with Yamah
Hi all, does anyone know how much this kit might be in the U.K.? Also would anyone know which size rid would work for a mapex kit? Thanks guys
Jon G81 I don't know what this would cost in the U.K. For Mapex, you will need the 10.5mm
GibraltarDIY thank you
Onde encontrar pra vender? Não acho fácil nas lojas!
Cool idea! But yeah, so disappointing as well
that they didn't include that tom arm with the clamp in the package :s

MBUKMAN Some of our products are just that so you will need to special order them since they wont be a "normal" in stock product.

which version would be best for Sonor?
BUSKING!!!!! Such a great idea
Is it possible to use the SC-GCK12 on a 14" stand tom ?
Mort DeLol yes this will work with a 14” tom
Would this work as pearl mounts :(
Sammy Hovhannisyan same thing i wana know
@@MrSpade87 Pearl makes the Jungle Gig
You could just use snare stands for the toms.
This is an awesome idea!
,,Great idea..thanks. a lot.. this video..is 👍👍👍👍👍.

do you have one of these for a yamaha rod?
you will need to measure the Yamaha rod but it is probably this. www.gibraltarhardware.com/?fa=partsdetail&curcat=2&bnd=11&cid=104&sid=469&pid=2284 😃
i meant for the tom holder cause mine is a hex
Why is that drumkit in this talking vid?
Amazing
Invention is the necessity of mother. This conversion kit is waaaaaay overpriced for what it is.
I would decline the venue before I played anything besides what I built.
Need a Pearl version, bro...
The Jungle Gig
Play your creations!
Surprisingly, my brutal death metal band never played in a restaurant. :/
this is fucking genius
build a tre cool kit
The only reason I don’t like Gibraltar is because it has so many confusing names of the products
SHUT UP & TAKE MY MONEY!!!! ;-)
Hey Sean! Glad you dig it! This is a cool little adaptor that’ll all you to convert a larger kit into a smaller kit. Tight spaces.
Would I be able to use this on a Yamaha kit? Is there a different tom mount so that I am able to mount my rack tom to my floor tom on my Yamaha kit?
Does this fit sonor floor toms?
