Well, I have one, and you are right about the issue of no connection. Also, as far as I've tested, it's possible to quickly open the car and disconnect the camera before it uploads the footage to the cloud. I appreciate the Blackview's 'Easy-to-hide, lock-protected Box recording unit.' Unfortunately, the rear camera hasn't been functioning at all. The most valuable feature and selling point for me is the parking mode, and without the rear camera, it feels incomplete. I believe that its price is justified compared to a budget dash cam, even with the subscription, especially if you are looking for a complete parking mode with motion detection and cloud without draining your battery. However, the rear camera issue should be resolved as soon as possible.
there is now a software fix with this camera. If you call them they will it to send you via email . you will need a computer to load it into the as card . I can confirm it definitely solves the problem because I've done it on my own ..
I have in the UK and currently the rear camera does not work with the latest camera software installed 1.5.0 nextbase have confirmed they are currently aware of this problem and are currently working on a problem . If you're thinking about purchasing this camera be aware that the rear camera does not work or record any footage .. last updated 24th jan 2024
@@bdogplayz6984 yes I totally give up and went out and purchased a blackvue twin camera LTE . And have never looked back . totally different experience absolutely bloody brilliant .. ( obviously still subject to Vodafone network coverage in your area) but with blackvue you can also connect to Wi-Fi to your mobile phone for faster speed downloads which Nextbase cameras don't do ...
Great features but really downnside is to get them you cantbuse the free version. The future of dashcams are very interesting. The fact you to get the cam to run is ob2 or hardware sucks a 3rd party battery pack would be great. I dont see where can press the button to lock the video files
This camera is huge on your windshield. Took it out of the box and demo’d it by placing it on the windshield and immediately put it back in the box to return.
This. Mine turned up yesterday and I sent it straight back. It’s massive and the glowing lights on the back just add a permanent distraction in my field of vision. Going to have to go back to Blackvue but will need to wait for the PLUS models to launch later this year (May 2024 I think) to benefit from the better sensors and video quality.
You have to pay for it. £7 a month for 30 days of cloud and £10/m for 180 days of cloud. Tho of course both plans offer tons of other features as well.
Plugging into the car’s EU is a non-starter for me. Rather have a NON integrated solution that doesn’t tie into the vehicle’s “brain.” This looks like a great product, but complete overkill for most consumers & thus the exorbitant price tag.
Some nice features but it's big, ugly and in your face!. Add to that a monthly subscription to an already over priced camera?, no thanks. Viofo 4K for me.
wow, this is a truly excellent review. Definitely wasn't expecting that
Exceptional review! Grateful

Why should buy this over the Blackvue 4k ?
solar power option (/DIY) ?
What will happen after you turn off the ignition?
Is there a battery?
Battery life?
Yes, because the power source either comes from the fuse box or the OBD-II port, so the dash cam can work even when the ignition is off.
Vidéo qualité is bad it keeps telling parking detected but when I need to see event nothing so bad

Night vision?
Yes, there is night vision on both sides via infrared. You can see them in the video's short clip close-up in the car at night.

Looks like it will blocksome of the drivers view of the road
