Like every other painting I’ve seen you do, this is beautiful. I’ve been watching because I adore the way this Ghibli style captures the essence of light. It’s like pure, joyous summer. If you ever have time to share, I would love the hear how you decide what colours to lay down first. I’ve noticed that sometimes your original base layer is still visible quite a lot on some sections, whereas in others not much is left visible as part of the final result. I would love to be able to paint like this so it would be wonderful to understand how to make those decisions.

I use the base layer as a starting point, and then, throughout the painting, I adjust the colors by either deepening, lightening, or keeping them the same. Your artworks really inspired me to try out gouache, i love painting nature but i often used acrylic, so i bought the himi gouache set! im wondering what painting journal you are using aswell as the painting tape? it seems like it holds the paint well
