My 106MK might not be fast, but when going across the lake, everyone paddling or peddling gets tired, and always wants me to pull them back. She has stamina & beauty.
Stay tight- which is almost never compared to the opposite. Have you ever pulled someone in without using a motor? I’m sure you have not and are talking whiffs
Yeah, with that comes in handy. Is like we paddle out 3 miles offshore to a rig in kayaks. And the way there is brutal against the waves. Could either help you get there and have an easy way back or you could just paddle there and have a awesome easy ride home while this dude, struggling and dying by the time he gets back
When my predator xl has a full charge a pedal drive will have problems keeping up 😂! Especially in salt water with the current moving. I usually get back to the dock around ten minutes before the peddle drives do. I told them they should get a old town peddle drive 😂😂😂😂
What pound thrust is your motor? I hook a 40lb up to my old town predator mx during duck season and that sucker flies. No pedal or paddle is keeping up with it
@HOV4N It is very stable! At the time, I weighed 275 and could stand and sit back down very comfortably. Pricey but worthed it! Superior quality than other brands.
I wouldnt mind a motor. But i wanna start doing 3 day to 5 dah trips. Thats where man power never runs out of Power. I've done 2 days in a row so far. Needa request a vacation so i can do a solo week
Since I don't know anything about this stuff I'll ask... Couldn't you use some sort of solar panel to charge the battery when you aren't using the motor?
We carry one extra 100 ah lithium, 2 total. One charges with solar while the other is in use. 12 hour run time per battery. My friend charges his lithium while running, these batteries weigh 24 lbs. You can't pedal for 12 hours.
@10thclimbtovictorystevens65 If you're looking at speed, the pedal is faster, but for longer endurance, I'd go with the motor. You can go 5 hours full speed and not get tired, but the battery might die 😆
It was fun, man! Haha, I could only go as fast as the motor would let me. Both are great kayaks, I highly recommend old town, great build and quality is 💯.
My wilderness tempest 170 would beat them both mostly due it being designed for speed. The wider the. Oat the slower it goes. With or without a power motor

Not unless you’re fit. If you can paddle a kayak the entire day across a lake then you can do this.
Opposite 4 me
When your battery dies um pulling you in
Because my battery never dies😂

Nice bro. I’ve been looking for a kayak to toss my trolling motor on and explore with my beagle lol
Thank you for make this I’ve been looking for a race set up just like this Alsome guys!!!
One of my favorite spots to go kayaking. The Water is always clear
That chair is fighting for its life
you must be too poor for a pdl kayak they are meant to lean back like that...
@@pendragofanI have one I don’t lean that much. Should I? I gotta try it lol
it’s a chair, it’s not alive…🙃
I like to lean my chair back like that it’s also more stable because it lowers your center of gravity
@@sneakykiller900 Recumbent bicycles use the idea. so there might be some merit.
Pedal always for the win 💪🏻

Exercise is the best🔥
Your riding the wave of the guy pedaling his kayak...........
That seems like so much fun that's awesome
Great comparison, just subscribed
You were receiving a benefit riding on his wake
I'm stumped on wich one to get the 120pdl or the 120 autopilot
Whats the lb thrust on the motor?
45lb.
My boy got that Ute power 😂
By the look of this man's hoof size that little motor is working overtime 😢
@jacobschnieder3472 it works well all right! I'm about 285 lbs and no hesitation with that motor. Good quality build.
I wonder if the Peddal is a Fin setup or the propeller setup. I've never tried fins but I've heard they're great.
@JakeThom18363 the pedal one is propeller drive
Speaking from experience you will definitely gain a couple mph on a no carb diet.. lol
What pound thrust is your motor? I hook a 40lb up to my old town predator mx during duck season and that sucker flies. No pedal or paddle is keeping up with it
Get a apc 10x4 prop and it's way better. You can also clock the motor for an extra 500rpm.
It's that for real? That pedal drive is that effecient?
Yes, we wanted to see what the difference would be, Pedal Drive is faster but you will get worn out in the long run.
I believe that old town pedal drive is a 10 to 1 gear ratio
Looks fun
@@brentadamson8373 we had a blast! Caught some fish as well
😂 the oldtown salty rips!! Ngl 😂
Thinking about getting one of these for fishing smaller lakes. How do you like it and is it stable when standing?

No, it's not. It's in NC.

Yeh! Any motorized vessels need to be registered depending on your state.

I subscribed to yours as well 👍
just use a paddle it's fatser
😂😅
Depending on the kayak yes. I know for a fact that those can’t beat a Viking Profish Reload. And a Stealth Kayak smokes a Viking.
Drop your motor more I can tell its to high just from the sound
Just use pedals with a motor
